[Resolved]  ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Maximiser Policy — To withdraw my investment from ICICI prudential life insurance company

2: to withdraw my investment amount form ICICI Prudential Life insurance Co. .

Dear Sir,
I had taken ICICI Prudential life insurance policy on Jan-2006 and paid one premium RS- 50, 000.00 then stopped paying the 2nd Premium onwards since found they are deducting the allotted units every month as CHARGES (hidden) that was never convinced to me at the early stage. I had received the documents with the following statements.
Ø Premium Paid RS- 50, 000.00 on 22/12/2005
Ø Administrative charges RS- 9, 000.00
Ø Net allotted funds RS- 41, 000.00
Ø Total unit allotted 1224.246
Again continued the statement that was really shocking since they are deduction again the allotted units as “Charges”
There was some hidden charges that was realized when I had received the first “ Statement Of Account” only. This deduction was continued, now I have a total Unit –1201.775 only.

Ø Fund allocated -41, 000.00
CHARGES
Ø Insurance charges -96.00
Ø Service Tax -10.00
Ø Total insurance charges -106.00
Ø Closing balance (in RS) 40894.00
Ø Current NAV 33.49
Ø Closing balance (in units) 1221.08

Whilst taking the policy the executive described that the policy offering free insurance coverage, but it was a wrong information that was realized when I had received the policy documents with the account statements. Also described the amount whatever invested partially or fully can be withdrawn after the locking period of three years.
I had approached the ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Bank Kottarakara Br. & Kollam Br. in Kerala on 19/06/2009, to surrender the policy and withdraw the invested amount but I had received the reply that “ the amount is not returnable unless revive the policy with paying again 3, 00, 000.00 since your policy is lapsed. Then the ICICI Kollam Br. Manager was asking me to write a letter of complaint to their corporative Office through Kollam branch for requesting to withdraw the amount, I had done so and not received any response.
My self informed the ICICI –Kottarakara Br, Kollam Br and the Executive that I am not in a position to pay RS-3, 00, 000.00 at this stage due to my family constrains also enquired them why should I pay 3Lkhs.
Again I had communicated the ICICI bank executive through their website, and had received the reply that “ you don’t have any surrender value and there were no money to return” since your policy is lapsed, if you need the amount you have to revive the policy by paying 3, 00, 000.00 to the bank also asking to read the policy documents prior to approach the Bank for any issue. I never understand these traps on the time of policy taken and until the receipt of the policy documents. The executives never convinced that demerits and described only the merits and I fell in their trap.
Hence I request your good office to advise the concern authority of ICICI Prudential Life insurance Co to pay back my premium amount with minimum interest. Presently my account is having RS- 62287.7754.

I am also very much worried after reading this post. I have also took a policy with prudential and waiting for suitable time to withdraw the amount ( locking period 3 year ) as per agent.
I am not sure if these guys will create problem with me in near future ..

yes you are right that these agents never talk about the de merit of the policy at time of sell and eat the commission.

ICICI PRU Insurance co — Not getting letter for tax free status of the amount withdrawn from life time policy.

I,Sandip Raghuvanshi, had paid 40,000.00 as yearly premium in the Lifetime policy of ICICI PRU Insurance co. ( policy no.[protected] for four year. after completing the 3 year lock-in period in 5'th year I withdrew the full amt, i.e. Rs. 2,15,926.29.
Now my CA asks me to get the proof for the amt. to be tax free, as told orally by company people while buying the policy. But even if I submitted a written application at company's Kothrud, pune office in Nov. 2010 & many emails to company, I've not recd any letter or mail from the company. the funny part is at the company office everybody was surprised to see this part missing from policy document. PLEASE HELP.

Icici Prudential Life Insurance — WRONG ALLOTMENT OF UNITS

Dear Sir,

I have made switch online on 07/03/11 before 03:00 PM, since i have switched to Protector fund , my fund should be protected , also NAV is increased in protector fund ,but my fund is reduced.... the fund allocated to me is based on wrongly calculated units...

the fund before switch was 102477.180....and i switched 50% to protector i.e. 51238.59.... and rest to the other funds....

after the day when i saw fund value was 101418.5293....

which is exacltly equal to the fund value of my previous fund i.e. flexi growth= 7057.657(units) * 14.37(NAV)= 101418.5293.....

so i just wan to ask why this happens....when i trasfer my fund to protector fund..then what is the meaning of switching online before 03:00 PM, when my fund is not protected.....

it makes no differnce if you switch or not....becoz in both the caes fund value is equal...

i talked to your coustomer care..she told me to wait for 3 days,as the system takes three days to reflect the right value...and suggest me to mail also...

so please correct this and have a right reflection in my system...

i am attaching the printsreens of my switchonline and a proof of my mail id which shows the time before 03:PM as suggested by your coustomer care...

Please solve this issue...otherwise i will have to move IRDA forcefully...

I have taken out the Maximiser ICICI/Prudential policy, paid Rs 2 Lakhs for 3 years (total invested Rs 6 Lakhs) and then locked for 3 more years. I was told that I can cash in the policy after 5 years from the payment of the first premium on day one of Rs 2 Lakhs.
Please can somebody advise me if I am going to fall into any problem? I am 66.5 years old and I need this money.
