[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Poor Service & harasment

I took the post paid connection (Plan Economy 149) of Idea through the Personnel of Idea Cellular who visited my office on 23rd August 2008. As the address proof I gave him the Bank Statement and Pan Card Xerox. The Address mentioned in the Bank Statement was of my office, since I live in Paying Guest, so I don't have the required address proof. That's why I gave the address of my office. I gave him cheque of 299/ (99 for SIM, 200 as security deposit)-. He told me that whole Maharashtra would local call and 100 minutes of free Idea-Idea to call every month. He also told be that Security deposit of 200 will waive off by adjusting 100/- in 2 consecutive bills. He told me that the connection will be active in next 24 hours.

When the service was not active in next 48 hours, I called the Marketing personnel, and then he told me that after verification, my connection will be restored. On 27th August the person from Idea came to my residence address at 8 PM for verification (1st of all he should be not come to my residence, since I gave my address of my office). Next day he again to my office in the afternoon for verification. On 29th August I got the call for Idea cellular that my verification is successfully completed and connection was restored. The next day 30th August, my service was disconnected. When I called customer service they told me that verification was negative. The reason for negative verification was false. I was told that Verification personnel didn't found me at my residence and instead he talked with my brother. I am alone living in Mumbai, My brother lives in US and my parents live in Ranchi. Then on what basis the verification was negative and Idea cellular cheated me on this issue. They will again send the person for re-verification. After several call to customer service and mail to the Nodal officer, the Idea Personnel came to my residence after 2 weeks. He never visited my office, which was my valid address. This was the violation of rule set by Telecom department, which would result in penalty for Idea cellular. These are only few of complaints I suffered and list is long.

I was levied the roaming charges when I visted Pune and made call. In the Bill Statement, the 100/- was not adjusted and told to me that 100/ was Idea-Idea local call. Even the idea cellular failed to take action on the marketing personnel who lied me. I called to customer service and logged the 3 request to disconnection of the service. I was told that I have to visit idea store. I told him that I have no time to visit the Idea cellular and I am going out of City. Then Customer service personnel told that you would be receiving the SMS for disconnection of service. After several request, the request is not being serviced after raising request 3 weeks ago.

I have suffering the poor service, False committed made by Idea cellular, mental harassments, and loss of time and money due to period my Incoming was blocked. I asked for the compensation which they refused to do so. Now they sent personnel to my residence to collect the bill amount.

I don't have objection in giving the pending bill amount. But I want to ask the questions to Idea Cellular, Who will compensate me for the Poor Service, Unserviced Period, Mental harassments, false promises, Violation of telecom rule etc.

I was the happy customer of Idea cellular (Pune) from Jan 2005 to Nov 2006. I am also the shareholder of Idea cellular. I have lost the trust in Idea cellular. I will advise all my friends to think 100 times while taking the service of Idea cellular ( in broad any product from Aditya birla Group).

Don't treat this complaint as negative but to improve your service and gain the trust of your esteemed customers.

i purchase a prepaid idea sim, but no activate since one week, it's so bad and poor responce by idea,
I had similar experience. I think Idea management failed to assess customer complaints & customer is no more important to them. If this is the case very soon they will loose all their customers.

Sub - Complaint against not Activating my Postpaid Number even after my Positive Verification.

Dear Sir / Madam,


This email is to complain about service I recently received from a Idea Cellular Limited.
I have Applied for Prepared Connection Dated 8/02/2010 at your one of the Pune branch office and As per my discussion with one of your Executive, they were aggried of giving me a Gold Number : +91 [protected] at the cost of Rs.800 for Gold Number + Activation charges of Rs.500.So I have Paid Them Totally Rs.1300/- along with all the necessary Documents.

They have done Verification after 10 Days.After Positive Verification, I have got the Call from one of the Executive that my number will be activated within 2 days after verification.
After 2 Day's again I got a call from one of your Executive telling that My number will not be activated because the gold number charges for that number are Rs.3000/- and by mistake they have issued me that number.

Because of this kind of service from your end, I have suffered many Problems, I have wasted my important time, Money and lott of Frustration.

I request you to take this issue VERY SERIOUS and activate my number as early as possible, otherwise I will take action against you according to THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 1986.Also I will File a case against you in the High Court.


I expect early action on this matter from your side and appropriate assurance from your side that these will not happen again and I will not have to frustration and disappointment again.

i m prepaid user of idea cellular.in my main account, approx. Rs.23 have cutted without any activation of any service.when i talk to customer care they gave me fact which are not logical and i m totally disagree of those fact. they r totally responsible towards their user.
.when i imform to customer care and inform them then he told me that i activate your service but i didnot activate any service because my mobile is simple and always check this. this is very wrong beacause i am facing all mobile services such as reliance, tata, bsnl. but donot face any difficult from there service.

so, i want to refund my approx. Rs 23. this amt was cutted between 22 to 23 feb 2010. my idea cell no. [protected].

Rs 23 kata gaya hai, when maine customer care ko kaha to waha se response aaya ki maine apka koi service activate kiya hua hai so, apka main balance se kata gaya hai. but ye bilkul impossible wali baat hai kyoki maine koi activation apne mobile main nahi kiya hua hai or mera mobile bilkut simple hai or hamesha mere paas rahta hai. ye balance 22 or 23 feb 2010 ko hi kata gaya hai. is tarah mobile se aap log balance katenge to mera idea se service lena baand kar denge. kyoki ye haarashment karne ka naya idea hai aap logo ke paas. is tarah logo se khelana band kare or best service provide karne ka idea soche.

so, pls return my reduce money and immediately sent my money into main balance.

Idea Cellular Limited — New Connection dated 12 Feb,2010 not activated yet

Dear Sir,

I applied for connection on 12 Feb, 2010 and paid Rs. 500. Representative of IDEA promised that my number for which i applied [protected] will get activated by 14 Feb which didn't get activated. I talked to custom care they said that this number can not be given due to certain reasons. Finally I had to agree for a different number [protected] and they said it will get activated soon. But now they are saying that SIM will have to be replaced and they have charged Rs 75 also for this.

My cell number has not activated even now. It is causing a lot of harassment and mental stress. For achieving their targets for new connections Idea Cellular Ltd personnel are exploiting general public by alluring them offering special numbers.

You are requested to look into the matter and at least prevent other innocent people get exploited by taking suitable action.

Dear sir
my number is [protected] and my number was barred for not submitting a bill of 105.50 rupees. I had submitted the bill via net banking on[protected]. but my number is still not reactivated. I had talked to the customer care and they just gave me a complaint number and told that the complaint will be processed on[protected] at 1459hrs.
this is really a bad response and that too at the festival time.
i am not able to talk to my near and dear ones.
if my number will not be started by morning of[protected] then i will go to consumer court.

Idea Cellular Limited — faulty billing after the request for refusal to disconnect the services

IDEA NET CONNECT A/C NO.[protected], MOBILE NO. [protected].

THE CO. REFUSED TO DISCONNECT THE SERVICES AND ASKED TO PAY THE UNJUSTIFIED AMOUNT WHICH WAS LATER REDUCED WHEN THE BILL WAS SENT. THE CO. ALSO NEGLECTED REQUESTS TO TAKE UP THE MATTER WITH CO. CONSUMER GRIEVANCES DEPTT., THE HARASSMENT CONTINUED BY THE BILLING DEPTT. AND THE MATTER WAS TAKEN BY ME TO THE COUNCIL FOR FAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES BUT THE CO. FAILED TO TAKE ANY ACTION BUT SENT A NOTICE THROUGH ADVOCATE FOR THE PAYMENT.

THE CLAIMS OF THE CO. WERE FALSE AND BASELESS, NECESSARY SUPPORTING CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE SENT IF REQUIRED.

I am using this number from past 4 years it’s a post paid number, yesterday my cell phone got misplaced or it may be stolen by somebody, I blocked my sim with the help of cust. Care and contacted to the nearest police station, I logged a complaint over there and I have a receiving copy also, they people informed me to contact you people regarding the tracking of my mobile. My cell model no. is MOTOROLA E6 (motorockr) the IMEI No. is[protected]. As per police you people can help me for finding it. Is it any possible way to find my cell with the help of service providers. Please look into the matter and help me. I hope that idea cellular will help his genuine customer.

Idea Cellular — Charged for promotional calls while on Roaming

Hi,
I took a new prepaid connection from IDEA cellular. I never subscribed for any promotional offers from IDEA or anywhere else but I kept on getting calls from some random numbers regarding promotional offers etc and IPL scores. I went for roaming over last weekend.and I got plenty of promotional calls which has caused me money as IDEA was charging for each incoming picked. I think I should not be paying for promotional calls made by IDEA when I was in roaming as I never subscribed for the same.

Idea — AFTER 3 YEARS IDEA PEOPLE SAY ADDRESS VERIFICATION NEGATIVE.

I had purchase a idea sim card before 2008 & today on23rd april 2010 idea customer care people are saying that my address varification was faliure and now my sim card is deactivate.
from last 3 years my card was not varified.

my phone was in roaming on 22nd march2010, and the balance of my phone starts deducting from 27th march2010, and continuously deducting at a interval of [protected]@Rs.10
and on 25th April 2010, Rs.40, were deducted, ,

and the customer care says call on, 12345, and then again says call on 198

IDEA Cellular Services — cheating & cutting for services not requested by mecharge

sir,
i'm Dr Bhupat Choudhary from Jodhpur Rajasthan, my idea no.
[protected]. my grievance is i rarely use this no. & no body else has
access to this phone. Today at around 10 pm I received a message of
activation of music station service which I'd never requested; On
contacting customer care they told me that a request has been made at
9:12 pm & Rs. 30/= charge has been deducted from my balance. Since I'm
sure of no such request ever made, I argued with the customer care
executive who cut the line twice finally on third call the person
directed me to senior exec Mr. Radhey Yadav who after same story told
he is helpless. i tried nodal off. no. but it was recorded message
that he is available only 9 to 6.

My request is kindly investigate this cheating & refund the balance.

I'd already registered my no. in DND but still I'm getting marketing
calls & messages even after 45 days

i'm an idea user. i've recharged my cell of RS 222/- on 23/05/2010 and got the full talk time. i've called of RS 20.96 till 24/05/2010.But somehow my balance is rest 136rupees only.I've tried my all efforts to know but i din't get any knowledge.
help me out of this problem.
