[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE

Since last more than two months the IFB washing machine for which I am having the extended waaranty on payment of fees is not working. I, therefore, lodged a complaint with the concerned call center of IFB. In response to my first complaint, the mechanic came after about three days. He was absolutely ill equipped to understand the technical fault in the machine. He, therefore, regretted his inability to solve the problem. Thereafter, two more mechanics in sucession visited my mahine without sucess. All of them were prompt in advising me not go for the IFB fully automatic washing machine instead of solving the problem. At last, justifiably I Iost my temper and threatened to the concerned person in charge of recording the complaint at the call cetnter of IFB to go public if my complaint was not properly attended.In response thereto, I was given the contact number of the local executve of IFB at Ahmedabad. The local executive answered my call on his mobile after about 10 attempts. He, in turn, assured me of visit by company's qualified mechanic. Thereafter, the company's mechanic came and dismentaled the entire machine by stating that the drum which is a vital part is to be replaced alongwith bearings. Thereafter, he left by promising to return within three days with spares to be replaced. However, therafter, he dis not turn up as per his promise. I, therefore, tried to contact the local executive of IFB at Ahmedabad on his mobile. But, there is no response at all.

Washing Machine — Poor after sales service and rude behaviour

LG make your life worse. I bought a LG washing machine from Giriyas Bangalore. They delivered without the accessories (pipes, mesh etc) and when asked about it dealer ruedly said it is LG's responsibility . There are 2 complaints I logged with LG (s8c31204617, s8c[protected] and they did not respond. When followed up, they referred me to one LG's marketing manager. When I called him understood that guy was not even listening what the issue is and started saying that there is some thing wrong in what I am saying.
Finally i got information from my source that both dealer and service center people are hand in glove in cheating customer by removing spares from package etc.

IFB /Washing Machines — Poor After Sales Service

When we say IFB washing machines it gives impression that good & sterdy performance. But I'm totally demoralised by experiences I encountered while repairing of the machine whenever i had problem. Infact initially I'd recommended the machines to my friends/relatives. But now I'm scared to do so.e.g.
1) In my machine right since installation there is problem it wobbles heavily during dryer operation. 2 yrs back I've replaced the motor which cost me almost 3K. Then last year there was problem so again I called technician he solved the problem, additionally changed the door gasket(though not needed) took around 2.5K. When I complained about wobbling he said motor speed is set wrong. So he reduced the speed but still the problem persist. Now I've given up on that.

2) I've recommended m/c to my brother at Titwala(Kalyan-Thane). 3 months back when he had problem so I gave him reference of same technician(authorised) who had visited my place he went there solved problem, changed gasket charged almost 4K. After a month he has again problem machine is not working. When we try to contact same person either he doesn't pick the phone or simply ignores the call.

Main issue is inspite of spending so much on IFB machines which are already costlier than others considering better quality we have to face so many problems. After sales service is very poor and expensive too.
My product is covered under AMC. I had booked a complaint on 10.03.09 vide regn no.2806769. Even after 7 days, it has not been rectified so far. The behaviour of their franchisee staff is very rude. Inspite of repeated reminders to the company, local franchisee, no action has been taken so far.

I have IFB washing machine Elena EX purchased on 18/12/2006. Its water solenoid valve failed. I complained to IFB customer care help line on 22/04/2009. My ticket no. is 2950080. Followed up 4 times since then. No response so far. request your help.

Very good products if it is in working condition.
Very bad after sales service now.
Very greedy franchisees.
AMC - just for fleecing customers - not binding to service.
It is amazing that the top management is not interested in solving the service issues.
I have discarded my Executive model today the 19th June 2009 and purchased a washing machine of another company.

IFB — Fault in the 7 KG Digital Fully automatic wasing machine

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I have purchased a 7 Kg Front loading digital washing machine from M/s Ashoka Trading Co Faridabad (Bill No 1762, Dated 21.06.2009).

Since the commissioning of the machine I am facing the following problems,

The machine goes into a stand by mode on the 1st, 19th and 29th minute and then the lights keep blinking and the machine expects a command.
In the case of power failure and its subsequent resumption, the machine starts from the initial level and expects a start command.
In the case, when the program is over, sometimes the entire program restarts.
I have made several complains to your local office, to your authorised dealer and to your customer care centre in this regards, but till date there has been no response from your service centre.

You are requested to look into the matter and depute your competent person to repair/ replace the same.

My IFB 7 KG DIGITAL machine (Paid Rs. 29, 000) which is just 2 month old is coming up with problems after problems with every operation/cycle malfunction. The machine’s censors, etc started malfunctioning within a month. I complaint IFB customer service on the 13th of Aug 2009 and a technician visited and identified problem with sensor/switch that cuts the water level and needed to be, however, he added that the part is not available and cannot give me any date when it will be available and instead asked me to follow up with their customer service with a gentleman by the name of Mr. Barry (in Mumbai). That surely matched their high impact pre-sales pitch...I thought.

I called Mr. Barry on the 17th and he promised to get me the parts and repair done in 2 days. Today it’s over 2 weeks (Sep 1, 2009) and I have been calling repeatedly to get some help, however, continuously reminded something known as "total customer service failure, ineffective in dealing with any customers situation, and inconsistent in creating any memorable customer experience". And still waiting for a return phone call/email or visit to get me through this problem.

I can't believe a reputed company like IFB could put their product in the market without proper quality check or service. The machine doesn't function without manually pressing the button even at any given cycle, whether it’s in hot/cold, short/long, cotton/synthetic/woolen and what not.

I am totally baffled with IFB's management, their service and wondering with so much competition and the consumer power to switch product with a click of a switch how long IFB will sustain with such inconsistent communication. It's very surprising to realize that none of their corporate numbers or management can be accessible.

IN SHORT, IFB's SERVICE IS EXTREMELY POOR SO BE AWARE BEFORE YOU END UP WITH THEIR PRODUCTS.

I have been trying to get someone to come home and repair my washing machine, noone comes, noone answers calls including service and regional managers, they dont even have the basic courtesy of calling back customers... They make false promises of call backs or service but no one ever does anything//... someone or the other is at home all the time so we are not givin them and time limitation also... Its pathetic service, we are extremely disappointed and irritated... They sold the AMC and we bought it but what is the point if noone is going to come repair our washing machine??????????? My complaint number is 4403361 and cust ID is : 997866. I need a response asap, I have been trying to get it repaired for over 10days now and no one seems to be of help... This is the best example of pathetic customer service.
