Service persones not attending

My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in chennai.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine,The manager at Chennai is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.No higher officials telephone numbers are available for the redresal.

I have renewed my AMC after initial warranty expired on 29 Aug 08. I have paid the amount for AMC 4659.00 for another two years. For money received they gave an receipt. But till date i didn't get my AMC papers. After repeated calls too they don't bother to deliver my papers. very poor customer approach by the company. The technicians too are not trained suitably. Please stay off from any IFB product.

I am under AMC. For two years I had no problem with the machine but I kept renewing my AMC. Your services have become horrible. The tube in my mach broke and I have not been able to
wash. On 15th, Dec, Monday I caleed the service centre -[25776208] and requested her to send a tube, but she said that she would only attend if I register the complaint at 18604255678. There was no response there, only a recorded message to give our name and tel no with std code and the customer care would get back. There was no person attending the call. I got back to her and reported the same. She called me back that there was a server problem and she would help me out. Till today, Friday morning, 19th there is no call or person coming to help. My clothes are lying unwashed for 5 days now. I will be taking this matter with the consumer court as I have records of all thes calls and conversations. From a customer who used to praise IFB to all friends and many of them buying these products, I am thouroughly unhappy and if I dont get any response by today afternoon, I will have to proceed against you. Last 3 days both the service centre and complaint numbers are not responding at all. Either they keep ringing or they are engaged. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I have an executive Elite model of IFB washing machine and it started giving trouble ten days back. The technician came and he said the bearings and drum needs ot be replaced. For that we paid him 800 and 2750 respectively for bearings and drum plus 680 for labour charges. The drum that they replaced is a refurbished one and not brand new as they had promised while taking the money. On following up with the service centre, they say that is the only one that they get from company. The company gives refurbished drum only and no new drum is available. Repeated attempted to conatct company are failing. It is most horrible to konw that they charge you so much for spares and give youre furbished products. If you see their AMC terms, they menion that the company is at discretion to use new or refurbished parts (MINE IS NOT EVEN UNDER AMC). This is ridiculous for a copmany like IFB, a person pays 25- 30 percent premium for their products and they give refurbished parts? Plus there is no published list of spares prices which the service centre is ready to provide. So you are never sure if the service centre is fleecing the consumers. Lets take IFB to consumer court.
I'd request all new buyers to never buy IFB machines

I have purchased a IFB Washing Machine from Jalandhar City under AMC Reciept No. 2949 date 10-09-2008 valid upto 09-09-2009. I have complaint several time at Jalandhar City service center but all is vain no body come to attend. My machine has been locked since four days. I have connected to Mr. Gurdeep Singh on Mob. No. 99881-10601. I have reminded them everyday and call center says it will be attended today but nobody comes. What action can we take? Due to this harrasment I like to go consumer forum for justice.

My name is Jayanthiuppili. I have been using ifb. I had been experiencing difficulties in getting my Ifb washing machine repaired for the past two months. First the service mechanic said I have to invoke the AMC for getting my machine repaired at a cheap rate. So I agreed. Then they said I have to wait for two months, I waited from 20/10 to 20/12/2008. ON 20/12/2008, again I called IFB customer care to get my machine repaired under AMc. They said they donot have the spare part right then. I am waiting till date ie 05/01/2009. Every time when you lodge a complaint some mechanic is attending and there is no continuity. Everytime they are treating my calls as separate and new. That is another problem. Pl. arrange for earlier repair of my machine which is only 3 years old.

Dear Sir/s,

This is further to my E-Mail and web complaint dated 08 - 01 - 2009 on my latest complaint No. 2568793 dated 31 - 12 - 2008, one Mr. Srinivasan said to be from IFB (Came to know from the invoice cum receipt that he is from R K International) has checked the machine and replaced 2 Nos. Shock Absorbers or so and also replaced the "Rubber mouth". Having observed for the function 2 days, we have noticed good improvement because of change of the 2 Shock Absorbers or so. There was no heavy noise and the rattling is very minimal.

This problem persisted slowly from the date of the machine installed. We are wondering why the persons attended has not looked in to the problem we were telling from the very beginning. As mentioned all the time they come as medical reps. with some materials to sell. They repeatedly tell us about the "loading" of cloths and never opened the back side of the machine and checked for any alignment etc. In fact, I doubt, your "Franchisee" may be sending only "sales guys" all the time. The result of which because of big hits and rattling the "Rubber mouth" has torn and also scratches occurred on the top of Plastic Cup at the mouth.

It may not be out of place to bring to your notice that my brother and brother - in - law has the IFB Washing Machine for the past 8 and 4 years respectively. Both of them says they have still running the machine with the original "Rubber mouth".

Though I was made to paid Rs. 680/= as a condition to replace the Rubber Mouth for no fault of us that too our Original Warranty ended on 14 - 11 - 2008 and now under Extended Warranty upto 13 - 11 - 2010. Probably they have not attended on the machine for the past 2 years to squeeze us so as to get some benefit out of it.

In the Limitations of Warranty - not valid - item "f" the "Rubber Mouth" was not mentioned.

Any way unless the servicing improved, under the full control of your Regional Office, Sooner or later your product will also fade away, as now faced by a Reputed Company purely relied on Franchisee.

Your Regional Office did not care to say sorry / regret on my complaint (" Since no action or any call from the Manager, to day when I phoned up to your Consumer Care, to my surprise I was told the above complaint was closed with a note " DOOR LOCKED". I have my old mother 92 years who cant move out of house so one of us will be at home all the time.) particularly on the "Franchisee" to close the complaint as "Door Locked".

If your "Franchisee" could not send proper persons you better take away your Machine.

My machine is on AMC (Front Loading Washing Machine)
We had the same problem. we are still facing the same. We had booked the complaint about one month back . a service man came attended the machine and said that the washer inside the machine should be changed. And he said that he will replce it within two or three days. Till now there is no action from the service centre.
when ever I phoned they will simply say any lame excuse. Now it is almost one month. Till now there is no action.
I am using it for the last 12 years and was happy with machine till now . The service centre people were very arrogant and they don't know how to talk.

I have purchased IFB WM FL SENORITA DX washing machine before 4 months.. Still now it is not working properly.. I have given complaint to the dealer 4 or 5 times.. they said that they will send people for service work to new machine.. but no body have come to home for service till now... Shall I go to consumer court regarding this problem?

mr ravi and mukul are the managers the worst service providers

i have booked a complaint on 28/12/2008 nobody responded the complaint, Even after repeated calls to service cente, r now they have have updated in records that i have not paid them infact nobody gave me a bill or qotation. since i was calling them regularly they have done thiis just for an excuse

I have been trying to contact your Complaint Call Centre on 012039004321 and the only message that I have been receiveg for last five days is that your call is important to us and some one will shortly attend to it. I am unable to understand when that short time will be over. I have an AMC with your Company for washing machine and I am trying to lodge a complaint for the same. I would like you to send some one to attend the complaint.

I am from Bellary Karnataka. I have a IFB Elena W/M perchased in 2002 .The M/c is operating but it does not clean the clothes. It takes more time to finish the auto cycle time. I have talked to the service many times in 2008 but they never turned up.
The service is very poor.My advice to the vewers is never by a IFB product in India. As they do not have the said facility.

I purchased IFB washing machine ELITE model in DEC 2007. Eversince i purchased the m/c it is giving some problem or the other. Firstly;
1. there was thermostat problem. rectified temporarly
2'the same problem cropped up again.
3. Then came the body leakage problem. The m/c was taken to Service center in Hyderabad and the leakage is not there presently.
All the above problems cropped up within warranty period of 2 years.
4. As the warranty period expired in DEC 09, now the m/c went out of service again in JAN 09. The service person came and informed that "THREE WAY VOLVE" has gone out of order. He replaced it with another volve and collected Rs.1104/- (Rs.754/- towards the cost of volve + Rs.350/- service charge.

when i tried to contact cusomer care at 1860-425-5678 no one is taking the call inspite of my repeated calls.I dont know with whom i should contact. The area sales manager Mr. Vedant Trivedi was not available on his mobile.

With all this bitter experience i am disgusted with the IFB washing machine and the worst service being provided. Atleast i expect a responsible person in the company to reach me over phone

I have an IFB washing machine that I purchased from Lucknow in December 2007. First, I was told to buy packets of this white powder called 'Protecta' to prevent calcification in the machine. Now when I called for more of the powder at the IFB service centre, they don't even seen to know of its existence. Furthermore, my machine is unable to dry the washed clothes and has been leaking for over 2 weeks. I have lodged complaints repeatedly with the company service rentse but on one has come to repair or fix the problem.

Stupid dealers- stupid customer care personnels- Stupid fellows of IFB. Even after giving so many complaints you bastards do not turn up. It is a real cheating of the company. Company cannot provide service, charge heavy amounts for servicing and spares. So donot buy this type of product. Once the company goes under huge losses, then they should repent for the sorrow given to us.
