[Resolved]  IFB Washing Machine — Service persons not attending

My IFB washing machine is under AMC and I am in chennai.In spite of the repeated request to the help line no service persons are attending the machine,The manager at Chennai is not even attending the calls.I am not able to under stand the reasons for this casual attitude.No higher officials telephone numbers are available for the redresal.

On calling several times to customer center, they told "today mechanic will come to your house". This kind of after sales service is not acceptable from such international brand.

IFB / Automatic Washing Machine — NON REDRESSAL OF COMPLAINT LODGED ON 8-12-2008

COMPLAINT WAS LODGED ON[protected] VIDE COMPLAINT NO. 2514960. ONCE A PERSON CALLED, BUT COULD NOT REMOVE & SAID A SENIOR ENGINEER WOULD VISIT TO ADDRESS THE COMPLAINT. NO ONE HAS TURNED UP SINCE THEN EVEN AFTER REPEATED CALLS. THIS IS THE CONDITION OF THE SERVICE BEEN PROVIDED AT LUCKNOW BY IFB INDUSTRIES.
I WOULD ADVISE ONE & ALL NOT TO PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS OF THE CO., WHICH ARE NO DOUBT GOOD BUT AFTER SALES SERVICE IS POOR.

I have an executive Elite model of IFB washing machine and it started giving trouble ten days back. The technician came and he said the bearings and drum needs ot be replaced. For that we paid him 800 and 2750 respectively for bearings and drum plus 680 for labour charges. The drum that they replaced is a refurbished one and not brand new as they had promised while taking the money. On following up with the service centre, they say that is the only one that they get from company. The company gives refurbished drum only and no new drum is available. Repeated attempted to conatct company are failing. It is most horrible to konw that they charge you so much for spares and give youre furbished products. If you see their AMC terms, they menion that the company is at discretion to use new or refurbished parts (MINE IS NOT EVEN UNDER AMC). This is ridiculous for a copmany like IFB, a person pays 25- 30 percent premium for their products and they give refurbished parts? Plus there is no published list of spares prices which the service centre is ready to provide. So you are never sure if the service centre is fleecing the consumers. Lets take IFB to consumer court.
I'd request all new buyers to never buy IFB machines

I have purchased a IFB Washing Machine from Jalandhar City under AMC Reciept No. 2949 date[protected] valid upto[protected]. I have complaint several time at Jalandhar City service center but all is vain no body come to attend. My machine has been locked since four days. I have connected to Mr. Gurdeep Singh on Mob. No.[protected]. I have reminded them everyday and call center says it will be attended today but nobody comes. What action can we take? Due to this harrasment I like to go consumer forum for justice.
Yes it is fact that IFB Neptune dishwasher are very bad, your wont believe that i have spend amount 4-5 thousand rupees behind repairing of the machine in last 2-3 year, and after every 8 months some how control circuit fails, i am sick of this machine, and this small circuit cost around Rs. 2500/- so now i have to spare 2500 + service chargers for my machine every 6-8 months. Please do not buy IFB products.

My name is Jayanthiuppili. I have been using ifb. I had been experiencing difficulties in getting my Ifb washing machine repaired for the past two months. First the service mechanic said I have to invoke the AMC for getting my machine repaired at a cheap rate. So I agreed. Then they said I have to wait for two months, I waited from 20/10 to 20/12/2008. ON 20/12/2008, again I called IFB customer care to get my machine repaired under AMc. They said they donot have the spare part right then. I am waiting till date ie 05/01/2009. Every time when you lodge a complaint some mechanic is attending and there is no continuity. Everytime they are treating my calls as separate and new. That is another problem. Pl. arrange for earlier repair of my machine which is only 3 years old.

IFB 7 kg automatic — IFB technician further ruined the machine

Dear Sir,
We are really really upset to inform you that a small complaint from our side has led us in a big soup.
we had put in a small complaint on the 26th Dec 2008;to your customer care centre about our machine that "the machine works alright but only the last 2 min of it drain does not end and it is unable to drain the water."
our this complaint was forwarded to M/s Elite co. whose manager is Mr. Sidique. further to this he sent an inexperienced technician named Mr. Raghvan who told us that a board has been burnt and it needs to be replaced. he took the board with him and returned with a new one 2 days latter; when he further informed us that the other 2 boards have also been spoiled and onceagain took them along with another timer with him . After this our phone calls were not answered too and no body attended us for another week. On complaining to Ms. Elite Co. and speeking to the Manager another inexperienced technician was sent to us who fitted the motor board wrongly, which lead to a further complication in the machine.

Unable to help us, once again a Senior technician named Mr. chand who visited us said that he would visit us the next day and replace all the parts.But to our surprise another technician Mr. tanvir visited us who ordered one of your IFB headoffice technician few parts which needs to be replaced .

But today i.e 8.1.2009 another Technician named Mr. visited from IFB office Powai and said that because the motor board had been placed wronglythe connected board of the same has been burnt and hence cannot check anything further. he spoke to his boss and ordered few boards.

Sir i am really upset with this whole matter. prior to this machine i have been using an IFB machine for 12 years and i dont see that this machine whose warranty has aslo not expired will serve me for another 5 years.

i would kindly request you to to replace this machine and send me a NEW one as we are also in a jinx due to a large family of 12 members. and clothes have been stacked for the past 15 days.
TAKE THE MATTER SERIUOSLY AND DO THE NEEDFUL

I think that Leo was working as Tamil Nadu head for IFB previously. He was not so good(like machine) that too when talking to ladies, he used to talk unnecessarily. This was my friends experience.

IFB WASHING MACHINE — Service person not coming despite promise

Hi,
We are continuosly having problems with our IFB washing machine and the service person is not able to solve it. We were promised that the personnel would come today but has not turned up as yet...this is happening not once but many times over the past 6 months and every time after numerous followups only the person turns up...
But this time even after registering a complaint he has not come and the soiled clothes are lying rotting in the machine and the machine when switched on sparks!

Dear Sir/s,

This is further to my E-Mail and web complaint dated[protected] on my latest complaint No. 2568793 dated[protected], one Mr. Srinivasan said to be from IFB (Came to know from the invoice cum receipt that he is from R K International) has checked the machine and replaced 2 Nos. Shock Absorbers or so and also replaced the "Rubber mouth". Having observed for the function 2 days, we have noticed good improvement because of change of the 2 Shock Absorbers or so. There was no heavy noise and the rattling is very minimal.

This problem persisted slowly from the date of the machine installed. We are wondering why the persons attended has not looked in to the problem we were telling from the very beginning. As mentioned all the time they come as medical reps. with some materials to sell. They repeatedly tell us about the "loading" of cloths and never opened the back side of the machine and checked for any alignment etc. In fact, I doubt, your "Franchisee" may be sending only "sales guys" all the time. The result of which because of big hits and rattling the "Rubber mouth" has torn and also scratches occurred on the top of Plastic Cup at the mouth.

It may not be out of place to bring to your notice that my brother and brother - in - law has the IFB Washing Machine for the past 8 and 4 years respectively. Both of them says they have still running the machine with the original "Rubber mouth".

Though I was made to paid Rs. 680/= as a condition to replace the Rubber Mouth for no fault o[censored]s that too our Original Warranty ended on[protected] and now under Extended Warranty upto[protected]. Probably they have not attended on the machine for the past 2 years to squeeze us so as to get some benefit out of it.

In the Limitations of Warranty - not valid - item "f" the "Rubber Mouth" was not mentioned.

Any way unless the servicing improved, under the full control of your Regional Office, Sooner or later your product will also fade away, as now faced by a Reputed Company purely relied on Franchisee.

Your Regional Office did not care to say sorry / regret on my complaint (" Since no action or any call from the Manager, to day when I phoned up to your Consumer Care, to my surprise I was told the above complaint was closed with a note " DOOR LOCKED". I have my old mother 92 years who cant move out of house so one o[censored]s will be at home all the time.) particularly on the "Franchisee" to close the complaint as "Door Locked".

If your "Franchisee" could not send proper persons you better take away your Machine.

My machine is on AMC (Front Loading Washing Machine)
We had the same problem. we are still facing the same. We had booked the complaint about one month back . a service man came attended the machine and said that the washer inside the machine should be changed. And he said that he will replce it within two or three days. Till now there is no action from the service centre.
when ever I phoned they will simply say any lame excuse. Now it is almost one month. Till now there is no action.
I am using it for the last 12 years and was happy with machine till now . The service centre people were very arrogant and they don't know how to talk.

IFB WASHING MACHINE — No telephonic complaints possible

Hi we have an IFB front loading machine whcih has started malfunctioning. We tried the customer care numbers given on the brochure, but none worked. then we got call centre numbers from web sites of IFB. Again there is no response andat times we have to hang on for more than 10 minutes thereby wasting ouir calls. IFB, a reputed compant has a very very shoddy customer care. They should wake up to this .

IFB/Executive 5Kg front load — Under Amc Complaint IFB washing machine not attended

I had purchased washing machin in november 2007 which was a faulty, then they replace another by 3 months which is again a faulty, the water is not getting drained.
Inspite of repeted complaint to the service engineer the complaint is not attended
I have purchased IFB WM FL SENORITA DX washing machine before 4 months.. Still now it is not working properly.. I have given complaint to the dealer 4 or 5 times.. they said that they will send people for service work to new machine.. but no body have come to home for service till now... Shall I go to consumer court regarding this problem?
IFC washing machines are good...but customer cares SUCKS!!! ... it sucks so much that I had to find this forum and put it here...
