[Resolved] iGATE Optics — Very poor customer service and poor quality | |||
Hi, I had a very bad experiance with this Optical shop. Igate optics in Kasturi nagar. I bought a new lens and while buying the lens the shop keeper advised me to go for scratch resistant lens and thin glass from essilor. I also agreed for it and had to pay twice the cost. Within a month, the lens had lot of scratches inspite of good maintenance from my end. (while the earlier lens I had came for 4 years). When I contacted them, their response was very poor. Moreover the shop keeper Deena mentioned that they are not responsible for it and it is only because of my maintenance. Their response towards customers and handling them is very pathetic. I will never go to this optics in my lifetime again and waste my money because of the poor customer service and also because of the poor quality lens which they provide in the name of Essilor / Crizal. I would also suggest the same to my friends 'Never go to iGate Optics' for any of your Optical requirements. Was this information helpful? | |||

AND AS YOU TOLD ITS CRIZAL FROM ESSILOR WHICH YOU CAN VERIFY YOUR SELF . SO BY TELLING YOU HAVE SUPLIED WITH SOME POOR QUALITY LENS IS A BIG BLUNDER AS YOU ARE BLAMING ESSILOR NOT I GATE. NEXT IS ABOUT REACTION OF SALES PERSON ITS DEPENTS ON YOUR ATTITUDE. I AM TELLING ALL THIS BECOUSE I AM AN I GATE COSTUMER SINCE 4 YEARS.

hi, i dont think that any optician can give different lens when u r ordering for crizal lens.bcz, crizal lens itself has the water mark in it. as a customer of igate, i had a very good service from their end. i dont think that ur complaint has a value. i advice u to check the watermark of the lens.i[censored] dont see that logde a complaint to the same optician. i advice u to maintain ur spex properly.

Hi I have been to I gate..Purchase a spectacles of brand IDEE...But after one day I noticed a crack on the frame.. When I have taken to their notic they have replaced with a new frame. Thier service is too good. I have visited the shop near AGRA signals. Not sure about other shops but here they provide perfect support.

hey, according to me i say their service is d worst coz even aftr changing the frame and the glass its not gud at all...dey jst say y dont you try the plastic thing and blah blah blah!!! I PERSONALLY FEEL ITS NOT GUD AT ALL...try to avoid going der...

DEAR MADAM/SIR,I AM PARTH JOSHI, RESIDING AT AHMEDABAD HAS PURCHASED AN SPECTACLES FRAME AND GLASS WORTH INR 1700.00 FROM RICKO An OPTICIAN ON 8TH JANUARY, 2012.
WHILE SELLING THE PRODUCT, THEY CLAIMED ITS VERY GOOD QUALITY AND BRANDED FRAME.
WITHIN ONLY 2-3 MONTHS , COLOUR OF THE FRAME DETERIORATE . WHEN I COMPLIANED THIS AT SHOP THEY WERE NOT RESPONDING AND SUPPORTING PROPERLY AND REFUSED TO CHANGE OR REPAIR THE FRAME (WHICH THEY WERE FALSELY CLAIMING AND SELLING TO CUSTOMER).
MY HEARTIEST AND SINCERE REQUEST TO PROVIDE ME THE JUSTICE FOR THE SAME.

Even I had a bad experience with them. Kindly avoid this optician. They are the worst in bangalore.
Igate optics are cheats.. I went to the Sarjapur Road branch to try out contact lenses for the first time. Since I was trying out a contact lens for the first time, I asked for a sample. They said that they do not give free samples and charge Rs.500 for the a sample but that they would deduct this 500 when i come back to purchase the lens. After trying out the sample lens, I went to them to buy a box but then they said that I have to buy a minimum of 4 boxes for the 500 to be deducted from the purchase. They did not inform me earlier about this. This was very unfair on their part and they said that I can leave if I am not interested but they will not adjust the 500 unless I buy 4 boxes of lenses. I felt cheated and left the place. To add to my woes, the attendant at the Sarjapur Branch was very rude and arrogant.
Folks, I would suggest that if you guys are aware of your eyesight and lens specifications, please buy lenses online on sites such as lens kart or lensbazaar. Trust me, the discounts you get are unbelievable and I realized this only recently. For Bausch and Lomb Purevision 2 lenses, Igate charges 1850 which is the MRP but you get almost 50% discount on lensbazaar.com

I-Gate Optics ... Kammanahalli... I don't know what should i say about my experience today .. In a nutshell it was pathetic, I am sure i would never visit them, and sincerely advice a prospective buyer to visit any local store provided they value after sale services and also would understand the importance of customer
Order # KAM 13286 Date of Delivery 15 Apr 14, I purchased a Frame with them, as my old frame had broken but my cizal lenses did fit in the new frame.
Exactly day before yesterday I did notice my the ear holder did detach while i was wearing, I was unsure, thought some screw was loosened, and wanted it to be repaired, approached Kammanahalli I-Gate Optics, without even touching the frame they told me its broken, when i asked them what do i do now, they just asked me to throw the specs.
This is how they value customers .. I least expected them to tell we are sorry for my incident and should have offered me some solution or gesture i.e. " Frame should have been inspected, if it can't be repaired then they should have detached my lens and given back".
Sorry I-Gate Optics, you will be forced to see reality very soon .

Igate optics are pathetic, initially they will say frame is warranty we will change if any color change or scratch
But it is not like that .
In my case specs welding went out, when i went for the repair they were telling they wont do and wont replace .I spent around 5000 Rs on that it went waste, did not used specs more than 4 months .
I recommend not to purchase igate specs
