I'm Debjyoti Chattopadhyay having PAN No-AFXPC7809K have not recieved the refund for last two financial year(2006-07 & 2007-08) which will be approximately (11.4k+29.7k)=41k without interest.This is really unfortunate to state that due to irresponsible attitude of the employee my PAN number wrongly entered in someone else record and as a result the cheque came to my residence with a different name which I could not accept.On investigation with the IT Department at Kolkata I came to know about this and the concerend official also committed that as this was his mistake hence he is taking the full responsibilty and will make necessary arrangements to dispatch the refund cheque by AUG 1st week.But till date I;ve not recieved it and whenever i'm following up the concerned official he is kept on saying that it will be done by 1-2 days.Please help me to get the refund as soon as possible.

I have not received the income-tax refund amounting to Rs. 2008-09 till date. My PAN No. is AIGPS1461H.

My wife paid Excess IT as was deducted by the bankers as TDS.She filed her IT Returns vide ITR- 1.
& Claimed Rs.4824/-
ITR-1 was received by IT Dept.Office.Acknowledgement Details are : Inward Sr.No.[protected] Dt.July 17, 2008. of Office Of the Income-Tax Officer WARD-1(1).THANE.

Till today IT REFUND ( Rs. due to her remains unpaid.
Please help us recover as I am Sr. Citizen & cannot follow up vigourously with IT Dept.

Dear Sir,


This is to inform you that I had received the income tax refund cheque [SBI chq # 167396] of Rs. 4, 450/- on 30/06/2009 [payable before 3 months of date of issue].
by EMS speed post [EM#[protected] IN]

I had deposited the cheque on 08/08/2009 but it got returned to me on 28/08/2009. [Now I have practically 2 days to realize the cheque as it is almost 3 months old].
The report from HDFC bank states that the cheque is returned for "Claimants Signature Required".

I fail to understand how an "Income Tax Officer" can commit this mistake of not verifying his own sign. I am a student "currently" and this a big sum of money for me. Irequest the concerned authorities to send me a fresh refund at the earliest.
