[Resolved]  CIBIL — Incorrect reporting by CIBIL

Address:Maharashtra

Hi,

This is Manish here. I have applied for Home Loan recently. CIBIL has sent a report which show I have advances of 55 lacs and an outstanding of 13 lacs on my CCs. If I had that kind of money why would I go for a 25 lacs loan. CIBIL says they'll start an investigation n will take 30-45 days. By that time I'm screwed. I don't know what to do now? Can anyone help me out with this situation please?

Thanks,
Manish

Hi Manish,

I am going through same trauma. Be after CIBIL continuously. Write mails to [protected]@cibil.com mentioning the details, ur PAN, DOB, address and the 9 digit control no. from the bank where u have applied for a loan.

You will get a reply within 2-3 days mentioning which bank has entered this wrong info. Once you get this, start following up with the bank authorities to get this cleared. (This may take around 7 days, I am doing this currently)

I would suggest that simultaneously, start looking for some other sources for loan. Look for smaller banks, which are not a part of CIBIL.

Wish you get out of this mess soon.

This is kasthuri from Trichy. i have little clarification about
CIBIL Report. Five years back, i applied personal loan in HDFC & Centurain Bank ( now attached to HDFC Bank. And i was settled the payment in the bank. Bank has given the confirmation letter & closure for the final payment. I had collected a No Due and closure letter from the respective banks and on the letters, it is mentioned that "Payment towards full & final settlement".and no pending payments..Recently, when i applied for a home loan, i came to know from the HDFC home loan department & Nationalised Bank that they have said that my name in CIBIL Report. When i saw the report given by the bank, the Personal Loan was still in due and they have sent to the cibil.

I went HDFC bank directly in person. they said that report were given by Bank. Bank said that they can not do any thing.. CIBIL only can do.this.. So pl help me .and tell me what i will have to do to get the name out of the defaulter list.
