Complaint:

Rajneesh Madhok, Registered Member, CORE, a Consumer Protection Organisation has filed this complaint against the Indian oil Corporation through its Chairman, General Manager (LPG-MO) and others.

The case is that the opposite party No. 1 to 11 are concerned with the distribution of the LPG Gas cylinders. Rajneesh Madhok had approached to the concerned officers and sent the Registerd Letter as well and requested the concerned authorities to deliver the LPG Gas cylinders to the above mentioned Connection Holders. But the said Gas agency has nothing to do with the requests of the consumers and do not reply to the requests of the Representative.

As the consumer is entitled to get the supply of a LPG cylinder of two cylinders in a month. But the said agency don’t make supply to them on various requests even. In this connection the SPEED POST LETTER No. EE[protected] IN DATED 02/02/2008 POSTED AT CHANDIGARH OFFICE FAILS TO SUPPLY THE LPG GAS CYLINDERS TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONNECTION HOLDERS.

The Ministry of Petroleum as well as the Ministry of Consumer Affairs shall ensure that all Marketing Companies do issue necessary instructions that the Distributors will provide to the consumers LPG Gas Cylinder within a stipulated time limit.

I pray to The Honourable Forum to direct the Indian Oil Corporation to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the Complainant to meet the expenses incurred by it in protecting the interest of consumers and to continue to protect the interest of the consumers, within a period of four weeks.

lindane — improper booking and supply of gas

kalpana gas depot. the staff not cooperate with customer, not booking gas within the date they say 30 days to booking, supplier is also not cooperate with customer. he supplies cylinder 7 days after the booking. please do the needful and oblige.

lindane — Always not getting Cylinder on time

I changed my Indane agency to "Nataraj Enterprises" Yelahanka from Ulsoor in Bangalore, due to shift of my home. I never got the cylinder on time after everyday reminder to the agency. Normal delay is 15 days atleast. You call them, they will say it will come today and it never comes. I am customer of Indane from last 4 years, i never got this kind of response.

lindane — Refilling service of LPG distributor very poor

I am the consumer or ORAON GAS DISTRIBUTOR, Ranchi, (phone[protected] with a consumer no. OGD11662, last booking on 12/06/08 no 43. The Area salea Manager is Mr. M.R. Das([protected]@indianoil.co.in) phone[protected].
The refilling service of our distributor is very-very poor, I have run out of the cooking gas four days and calling since then repeatedly but either the phone remain busy or even if its not I do get a good response. Everytime they make stupid excuses and I do not get my cylender refiiled. I wonder if I will ever get it.
Just tell me what are you going to do about this?. What step will be taken for consumer harassment? and when the Refill will be supplied?

lindane — quantity of cylinder reg.

Dear Sir,
My consumer no.7046 with M/S Arjun Enterprises, Munirka New Dealhi-67. I had booked the gas on 25th of june and 30th june 2008. The agency sent a person to deliver the cylinder which was 24kg and again they sent the cylinder of gas 26 kg. Inspite of reminders the agency did not take care of the supply. whereas I am sufferer of gas supply. Kindly take necessary action in this regard.

Indane — No issue double cylinder

Esteemed Sir,

I am a subscriber of Indane Gas service since last long time.

When i purchase Gas Connection from Local distributor i.e. M/s Zira Gas Service, Kot ise Khan Road, ZIRA, Tehsil Zira District Ferozepur (Punjab) Ph No[protected], Mob_[protected].
that time i have purchase only one cylinder.

Now last five month number of time i request issue double cylinder against my connection. but no responce from the dealer.
They never take the complaint of the customers seriously. Even the behaviour of the staff is not customer friendly.
so please take necessary action in this regards.

Indane — Delay in supplying refill

We are residents of Dharmapuri, Tamil nadu we have two agencies for indane called rajalaksnmi agencies and vasantham agencies. we get 10 -20 days aftrer booking on refill.
there is even 6 cylinders and one house. there are lot of misuse of domestic to commercial.
requested this publi spirited problem/complaint to be rectified

lindane — No response in leakage of LPG

I have a INDANE LPG connection with Shaurya Enterprises, Janakpuri, New Delhi and my consumer No. is 28902-A. On 10.7.2008 at 6.30 AM my LPG Cylinder was leagake. I telephoned to Jai Jawan Gas Service, Dwarka, New Delhi (Tele Nos.25080458, 64115667 & [protected]). But telephone not picked up by Jai Jawan Gas Service. Thereafter I telephoned to Hello Indane 24 Hrs. Helpline Service Mobile:[protected] but no response. However, I telephoned to both from 6.30 Am to 8.30 AM so many times but they do not picked up the phone.
It is requested that the look into the matter your emergency service.

Indane — Waiting for Gas from last 13 days

Hello SirMadam,

I have Gas connection in Hari Singh Gas Service RZ-914, Prem Nagar, Kirari Road, Nangloi, Delhi-110041. I have booked my Gas on 08.07.2008 of Consumer No. 35033. But till date I have not reveived the gas till date. They says that the Gas will reach your home within one Month, there is shortage of Gas. They have blackmarketing of Gas. Take action against them immediately.

Our customer number is VG25506 for cooking gas from the above agency. I booked the gas cylinder on July 21, 2008. I was told that the cylinder will reach within 2 days. But after waiting for a week I called repeatedly but the phone did not connect. Therefore, I contacted them in the office and they said that the cylinder is not avaialbe in the stock. Asking please give me in writing the gas clynder is not vaialbe in ths stock.The agency is decline to do so.This has cuased us great inconvenience in this regard and unnecessarily burdened us to arranged the gas from somewhere else.
I would like to request you to enquire about it and take necessary action whether they are involved in black marketing of public essential commodities, for which they are liscense holder from the government.

Indane — regulator problem

I already consuming a indane product of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), i.e. gas service. In this occation I faced a problem, that my regulator of the gas sylinder is disordered from yesterday.

In this context, if you kindly send me a representative for rectification then I'll be obliged.

lindane — Dealer forcing to buy stove with connection

I am posted at Pokaran, Distt Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
The Indane dealer at Pokaran is forcing everyone to buy gas stove with a new connection.
This dealer does not honour transfer of connection from other stations.
The charges are also very high.

lindane — Book for cylinder

Our gas agent SHAHEED SUBHASH GAS SERVICE G.T ROAD (SHAHDARA) is manipulating with the dates of booking.
As a result of this we can only book our gas after 40 to 45 days.Whereas as per the papers it can be done after every 21 days.
Sir,
This is to bring to your kind notice that I Sumita Arora have been with your esteemed corporation for last 10 years and it pinches a lot when such a customer is treated with utmost disrepect.
We tried to get a tele booking at Santoshi Gas Booking and we are constantly being mistreated to huge extents!! The misbehaviour doesn't end here only if we personally try to approach them then we are treated in such a disgraceful manner that it feels they are doing a favour in providing us with LPG cylendirs. Even if we try to file a complaint they strictly disagrees and says "Do what you can!"
Is this what we are upto these days. I request you to take utmost action in this regard and please do the needful timely.

Indane — NON COMPLIANCE OF RULES BY THE SUPPLIER

MY CONSUMER NO. IS D.G.001646 WITH M/S DANKUN GAS DISTRIBUTIRS, CODE/99041358, MONOHARPUR[E] DANKUNI HOOGHLY.
ON 16/08/2008 THE DATE OF LAST DELIVERY OF CYLINDER THE DELIVERY MAN ASKED FOR RS.10/= AS TIPS, HIS PLEA WAS THAT AS THE PRICE OF GAS HAS BEEN INCREASED SO THE TIPS TO HIM HAS TO BE INCREASED AS A NATURAL RULE.PLEASE NOTE THAT MY RESIDANCE IS ONLY TWO FURLONG[ APPROX.] FROM THE DISTRIBUTORS OFFICE. WHEN THE SAME WAS REFFERED TO THE DISTRIBUTOR THE PERSON ATTENDED THE PHONE REPLIED THAT CONSUMER HAS TO PAY TIPS TO THE DELIVERY MAN AS IT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY INDANE OFFICIALS.MORE OVER IF TIPS ARE NOT PAID WE HAVE TO FACE CONSEQUENCE.
SECONDLY ON SEVERAL REQUEST THE DELIVERY MAN NEVER BRINGS THE WEIGH SCALE SO THAT WE CAN VERIFY THE QUANTITY OF THE GAS BEING SUPPLIED BY THE DISTRIBUTOR.
HOPE THE MATTER WILL BE TAKEN WITH DUE EARNEST.
