Complaint:

Rajneesh Madhok, Registered Member, CORE, a Consumer Protection Organisation has filed this complaint against the Indian oil Corporation through its Chairman, General Manager (LPG-MO) and others.

The case is that the opposite party No. 1 to 11 are concerned with the distribution of the LPG Gas cylinders. Rajneesh Madhok had approached to the concerned officers and sent the Registerd Letter as well and requested the concerned authorities to deliver the LPG Gas cylinders to the above mentioned Connection Holders. But the said Gas agency has nothing to do with the requests of the consumers and do not reply to the requests of the Representative.

As the consumer is entitled to get the supply of a LPG cylinder of two cylinders in a month. But the said agency don’t make supply to them on various requests even. In this connection the SPEED POST LETTER No. EE[protected] IN DATED 02/02/2008 POSTED AT CHANDIGARH OFFICE FAILS TO SUPPLY THE LPG GAS CYLINDERS TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONNECTION HOLDERS.

The Ministry of Petroleum as well as the Ministry of Consumer Affairs shall ensure that all Marketing Companies do issue necessary instructions that the Distributors will provide to the consumers LPG Gas Cylinder within a stipulated time limit.

I pray to The Honourable Forum to direct the Indian Oil Corporation to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the Complainant to meet the expenses incurred by it in protecting the interest of consumers and to continue to protect the interest of the consumers, within a period of four weeks.

I am Baburaj.C. working as a Astt: Station Officer, Fire and Rescue Station, Malappuram, Residing at staff quarters No A/3, applaid for a new gas connection at Ram Gas agency, Munduparamba P.O.Malappuram, Dist:showing my residence certificate issued by fire and rescue station authorities.
But this gas agency refuse to take my application, they demand for a new ration card. I don't have a ration card because my job is atransferable one (througout kerala) Kindly consider my complaint in a sympathetic way.

lindane — non delivery of new gas cylinder without purchase of gas stove

I had booked a new gas cylinder on 20/1/09 with Pithambra gas Agency Hospital Road, Gwalior. after getting the cylinder from the company the said dealer are not going to made delivery and he has forced to purchase the gas stove with the cost of more than double from the market prise. when I refused to take the gas stove than he refused to deliver the new gas connection.

Indane — After 14/15 days delivery

Pushpak Gas Agency, Rajkot peoples are not sending the Gas bottles even after 10 days booking done i.e. also after 21 days. Nobody is lifting phones and no reply.

My customer No.13736 and you may kindly ckeck up 30 days is over then last booking. They are selling in black or what that we don't know, as we do not have time to to and inquire.

Kindly look into the matter otherwise the good people will have to suffer and it will effect bad in futire.

Indane LPG — Not allowing to book consumer gas (Cylinder) because for personnel revenge.

We are Indane Gas Consumer for the past 25 years recently there is a law stating that everybody has to get a token number after showing their ration card to the LPG agents. During that time we are not having the ration card we applied and we got the ration card. Now we are not allowed to book LPG gas for our consumer number. The representative attending these bookings are showing personnel Vengeance against us. we are having a tough time for the last two years without having gas in our house. So please Intervene in this issue and give us justice.

Indane — unable to book cylinder

Dear sir,
I am a consumer of INDANE having C.No- A182226 of 'ADARSG GAS AGENCY', Post Office Rd., Saharanpur - 247001, Uttar Pradesh. I want to know that there is any rule a new cylinder booking is registered after 26 days from the date of delivery of last cylinder. So, following their practise, i booked for new refill on 15/2/2009 and they deliver new cylinder on 04/03/2009. After that on 22/03/2009 i asked for booked a new cylinder and they told me that after 26 days they can book a new cylinder and it is a rule. I want to know that there is any such kind of rule. I want to brought this to the notice of appropriate indane authorities for looking into the matter.

Indane — Leakege in LPG cylinder

Sir, I am a customer of M/S Sengar Indane gas agency, IIT gate, Kanpur having consumer NO. 7450 today when I connect the cylinder there is a leakege, I phoned the gas agency but the person there says that he will see the problem on tuesday as there is a problem in there gas plant.

lindane — REFILLING THE GAS CYLINDER

My mother Mrs Anjana Roy Choudhury is a customer of INDANE since 40 years. She is 72 years old and is facing problem in booking refill. The agency name is L.V.Reddy Gas Service in Secunderabad.
They place the receiver down causing inconvenience for the customer to reach them. At the age 72 you cannot ask my mother to go and book. Can you provide us a solution to our problem.

lindane — bad distribution of LPG

I am a customer of Pushpagiri gas Agencies, Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram, South Kerala for the last two years. My consumer number is 19893. I wouldn’t get the LPG cylinder for a quite long time in due course. I got LPG cylinder once in 40 to 45 days. On 11th March 2009, I have booked for a cylinder with 2440 as the booking number. My billing is already in due on 11th April itself. . Even after repeated requests and personal approach, the agency delivered the LPG cylinder only on[protected]. Delay of 9 days. As and when contacting the agency for the last two weeks their reply was ridiculous to the customer and sometimes they said that there is a shortage of LPG. But other agencies are delivered the cylinder in proper time. On every day as I am eagerly waiting for getting the cylinder, I could not be able to go to my office. So I humbly request that necessary actions may be taken to deliver the cylinder in proper time.

lindane — Misbehave of unauthorised person

We have a Indane Gas connection at my village. My father Mr. Nakul Chandra Datta is the applicant of this gas connection. One person named Asish Dutta, claimed himself as the owner of "Randhan Gas" (Vendor / dealer Code: 158789) and visited our house. He started to claim that many of the things are wrong such as regulators, pipes, etc and threatened my mom that our gas connection will be disconnected. My mother became nervous. Then I interrrupted him and asked for his identification. He didn't show us any identification and din't even tell us his name. I then told him that whatever he is saying and claiming is totally wrong and he has no right to enter my hosue. He then left. Now my father is being harashed by the people of gas dealer Mrs. Suprava Dutta regularly. They had locked our connection and forced my father to write an apology letter saying that we were doing something wrong with this connection whereas we have all the papers, we are using proper regulator and gas pipe.

This harashment is totally unacceptable and I can produce hundred of examples with witness where this person Ashish Dutta had demanded extra money for every gas cylinder without any receipt or reason though he is not the owner, not even an employee of the dealer.

Indane Gas — non delivery of cylinder to single cylinder holder which was booked on february 27 ,2009

Iam holding indane gas connection (single cylinder) from JAI HIND ENTERPRISES, MANNARKKAD, PALAKKAD DISTRICT, KERALA .My consumer number is 30863.Iam residing at vattammannapuram, Edathanattukkara. As the agency never attend phone calls, it is usual practice for many o[censored]s to book through post as our area is nearly 30 kms away from the agency. We have no other agency nearby . And this agency delivers gas cylinders only once in a week. I had sent a post card on feb, 21, 2009 for booking .On enquiry I was told that the same has been booked on feb, 27, 2009. On 6/5/2009, after many attempts I got response from the agency that they have sent the cylinder and it will be delivered on the same day. As the gas suppliers dont deliver it to each of the houses in remote areas we have to wait near the bus stop. And on that day I waited from 11 am till 5 pm near the bus stop, and between these hours I had been contacting the agency but there was no response. Iam 67 yrs old and undergone a cataract operation recently and had been advised to take one month"s complete rest. I and my wife are staying alone and our children are far away . The quality of servicing is really below standard and strict action is to be taken against them.

I have been going to Jwalani Domestic Gas Agency, SF Road, Siliguri (contact No:[protected] since last months regularly for LPG Connection(transfer case) along-with documents i.e. Transfer receipt from previous connection, present residential certificate, Gas consumer card, e.t.c . But aforesaid agency is not responding and not receiving application as well as transfer docomenent and stated that due to non-availability of presure regulator application is not received/booked .Further up-on enquiry over telephone, the staff has used filthy language and blackmailing to me.
It is requested to you please look the matter. I shall highly oblige to you this act of kindness.

Indane — DISTRIBUTOR BAD SERVICE

I had made nos of call to book the gas cylinder,
Every time distributor cut the phone and put ht ereceiver on table.

This same excercise was repeated nos of time.
Every time they perform the same act.

After once week I had visted the distributor office, there serving very rudly. I had asked for there mis-behavior, so then they had warn me not to ask such question.

I had booked the gas cylinder on 01-05-09, but till date it is not deliverved.

I request the concerned autority to cancled the disributor- ship of these kind of mad / ill service provider

Dear Sir / Madam,


My consumer No. is 17055.

It is since long that your Agency ACME Gas Agency, A/2 GF, Sonapark, Air Force Road, Makarpura, do not lift call at all.

This practice is since more than a year.

May I request you to interfere to get the service customer friendly or replace the agency.

You can verify my complain with other consumers.
