My family is a joint family and we have gas connection on the name of my father (one cylinder) and my mother (2 cylinders) for the last 25 yrs, refilling being done every 2 months for each of them
Last week when we asked for a refill for the cylinder by the name of my mother, we were informed that the connection had been cancelled because as per rule their cannot be connection by two different names for the same address.We were not informed with respect to the same at any point of time before cancellation of the connection. On taking up the matter with the Area manager, we were threatened that the other gas connection will also be cancelled and we were asked to surrender the papers for the cancelled connection. We have requested the agency not to cancel the connection but transfer the same to a location in the same state but a different city where we require the connection. We have not cooperation from the authorities and they keep asking us to surrender the cancelled connection and take a new connection at the outstation location rather than transfering the same.
Our complaint also includes
1) we were not informed of the cancellation
2) we were not given the choice for cancellation
3) the authorities just to achieve their targets are forcing us to buy a new connection at an out location and not transferring the extra connection
4) we are being threatened of other connection also being cancelled if we do not comply
