[Resolved] India Post — Non Delivery of Parcel | |
My father had sent a Registered Parcel (CP[protected]IN on 5th September 2009) weighing 4785 grams from GPO, Kolkata to Uppsala Sweden. He was told by the office personnel at GPO that it would take 15 days to reach Sweden. To my utter dismay I am forced to complain that it has not reached yet even after more than one month of sending it. The Swedish Post office and Swedish Customs department, do not have any information regarding the same. I trust them because the Swedish post has an excellent online tracking system which can track each item entering Sweden from outside world, sorry to say Indian Postal system do not have it. Another point is there was no objectionable thing in that parcel, I should claim, because it was packed by one of the postal staff after getting packing payment. I am really disgusted not only because it did not reach on time but also because I lodged a web based complaint (Complaint number[protected] on 5th October 2009 at the India post website which is also in vain. It was updated last on 6th October. I was shocked to see that the parcel was still in Kolkata till 22nd September 2009, which was 17 days after posting it when the staff said it would reach Sweden in 15 days. How come there is so much discrepancy between their word and action? I do not even know if the parcel actually was sent to the flight or not because the complaint has not been updated since 6th October and the status still remains pending. How come the Indian Post being an important public service system be so callous and irresponsible? It is not that they are only playing with our money but also our emotions, because the parcel contained Durga puja gifts for me from my parents which included expensive dresses. India Post — Non-delivery of Parcel
I had sent a B'day present worth Rs.550 to my friend in Nepal from Mugappair East, Chennai, Tamil Nadu through India Post. I had asked for Speed Post service, but they declined and asked me to give it with a Rs.50 stamp stuck on it. So i did the same, and it's been almost a month now and my friend hasn't received it yet. Unfortunately because it's normal India Post i wasn't given a receipt but was guaranteed it's delivery. I was sent a registered parcel to Bergen (Norway) vide No. ER[protected]IN on 20/10/2010 But not delivered to destination till now.I have done complaint on line on 14/11/2010 also. Thats complaint No. is[protected] but no response from indian post office dept.

SUTAHATA, DIST PURBA MIDNAPORE, WEST BENGAL 721645 - PHONE NO.[protected]THE CONTENT WAS O[censored]RGENT MEDICINE IN ABSENCE OF WHICH WE ARE SUFFERING LIKE ANYTHING.
KINDLY LET ME KNOW THE STATUS OF THE PARCEL.

I have purchased a mobile spare of Rs 3000/- from Hong Kong,on 29th of September 2012 The product was shipped and was cleared from mumbai custom department on 6th of september ,on enquiring with those people , i was told that my parcel has been sent to Bhopal RMS and after that there is no status available for it .I was also told that i can not even complaint for that missing article abd only sender could complain. The sender is a merchant and he has got his money, and now he is not interested to enquire further stating that it was his duty to get the product till customs only , which he had done . Please help me as i have called every connected postal department but no one is willing to help

Its been a month that the parcel has sent.
