[Resolved]  India Post / International Speed Post Service — Delay in delivery

I have posted 2 articles (EMS Nos. EW[protected]IN & EW[protected]IN) by SPEED POST to one international destination from Cooch Behar Head Post Office (Pin. 736 101) on 19 December 2008.
Till date (20 January 2009) the articles are not delivered.

Parcel — I did not delivered sent overseas. Speed post is worse. please avoid using it.

I BOOKED A SPEED POST PARCEL FROM RAJASTHAN TO CANADA. NEITHER IT REACHED ON TIME NOR IT WERE TRACKEABLE. IT GOT LOST IN TRANSIT. IT IS OF A VERY HIGH IMPORTANCE.
I PAID A GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR ITS TIMELY DELIVERY BUT THE POSTAL DEPARTMENT'S LETHARGIC HABITS HAS DONE GREAT HARM TO ME.

I APPEAL TO ALL INDIANS TO THINK TWICE THRICE BEFORE USING SPEED POST AND SUGGEST YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES NOT TO USE THEIR SERVICE. PRIVATE COURIERS THOUGH CHARGE A BIT HIGH BUT ARE VERY RELIABLE.

I WILL LIKE TO CAUTION ALL FELLOW CITIZENS NOT TO USE INDIA POST'S SPEED POST OR ANY OTHER SERVICES. THEY ARE WORST. I SHIPPED A ARTICAL FROM INDIA FOR CANADA IT LOST IN TRANSIT AND NO ONE EVEN BOTHERED TO HELP ME. IT WAS A HIGH PRICED ITEMS SO I LOST THE ITEM AND MONEY. I TRIED TO CONTACT POSTAL OFFICIALS FROM LOCAL LEVEL TO CENTRAL LEVEL BUT THEY ALL ARE LAZY . NO WORKS THERE.
THIS IS TRULY A SERVICE.

PRIVATE COURIERS ARE MUCH BETTER, YOU PAY THEM AND THEY ARE ACCOUNTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE.
PLEASE AVOID USING INDIA POST SERVICES AND SPECIALLY SPEED POST.

The articles are delivered on 21 January 2009.

ET[protected]N by speed post to hongkong from Vaniyambadi post office, Vellore District(TN) on 14th July2009, till date 23rd july2009 the article not yet delivered. plz kindly confirm the same. indian postal department — Delay in delivery of Speed Post

I have sent two speed post containg Rakhi to my relatives at Jodhpur on[protected], 09:09 IST. (SP_EN[protected]IN and SP_EN[protected]IN). Till today i.e.[protected] IST (after 05 days), both the post are not delivered. I have mentioned "Rakhi" on bothh the envelopes and tomorrow i.e.[protected] is the festival of Rakhi. If the speed post is delivered after that, then it is of no mean.
Can postal department justify the delay in deliveriy of SPEED POST. If this much time is required for delivery of SPEED POST then what is the meaning of SPEED POST?
You are requested to look into the matter and take necessary action to punish the guilty person.

I have done a international speed post to USA, University of Nebraska Omaha on 13-Aug-2009 from Shimla Post Office.it is not delivered yet.its been more than 25 days please let me know about the status as it is very imp. to reach there on time.

I am sorry to say this dear india post but i have no trust in your service. it is a shame when in other countries they are trying to give high quality service to customers your postal system is totally unreliable. It is only a waste of money and time.

First of all I dont even know whether someone from the Indian Postal Department bothers to read these comments. Yet, am writing cause I feel helpless and broken by the system.

I will soon embark on one of the most crucial jouneys of my life. I am aspiring to do an MBA from one of the schools in USA. I decided to put my bets on the Indian Postal Department and I mailed two articles via India Post to a US destination on 18th Feb 2010.
Till date all I can track about those articles is that they have been dispatched for Mumbai on 19th. What happened next? Despite numerous calls and mails no response from the department.

I dont know if you are as helpless as me, but in case if you arent I would request you to apprise me about the status of my documents.

i have posted a speed post [EV[protected]IN] from B.H.E.L haridwar uttrakhand to Lahore Pakistan on 27th april 2010 . Your staff told me that it will be reach their in one week..today n week has completed but its not reach till yet...so please my request is that sir please look this case on your level and please try to send my post as soon as possible..

i know india postal department is not that good..but believe me they are not as bad as we think...i tried an alternative to tracking our speed post items...and it was successful..the indiapost site does not update the status..so i tried the post site of the country to which i sent my post...
i also tried it for many of you as mentioned above
the one sent to US on 19th feb was delivered on 1st march
the one to pakistan on 27th april reached there on 4th may
so be cool guys it works and try this:)))

Delay in delivery
I had Register AD (RM[protected]IN) to an international address (Technogerma GmbH, 64354 Reinheim, Germany) on 30th of July. The post office people informed..that article shall be delivered in 5-7 days. No such thing happened.
Kindly let me now the status for the same.
