[Resolved]  India Times Shopping — Non refund of defective product

2 pending refunds from India Times Shopping (ITS) and they fail to refund the money. Instead I am strangled in phone calls, emails, etc. since last 2 months from the day I ordered. B.t.w. ITS earns money on the calls you make to them… maybe that’s why things take time and you as a customer are paying for it although none of it is your fault.

Order No. [protected] is a Kenwood Hand Blender (Rs. 5.062/-) which I cancelled since the previous order No. [protected], a Kenwood Electric Kettle (Rs. 2.768/-) was a dead on arrival (DOA) and according to the ITS policy the customer needs to do all the work rather than the company who sells the defective products. I needed to go to the nearest Service Center and take the DOA certificate and then courier the whole thing back to ITS. I also needed to do all the information regarding the same. All this time ITS doesn’t bother with anything. I needed to call up, email, etc. regarding procedure, pick up service, etc.
With Flipkart this is so much different. Flipkart takes all the responsibility not the customer.

Order No. [protected] was cancelled on the 9th of March and still I don’t have the refund although it was promised within 10 days.
Order No. [protected] was send back by me and the refund process started on 19th March. TIS still has 3 days to refund that product but with the other order number experience I don’t believe in it anymore.

I am calling now since last 2 weeks to get my refund but they keep giving me excuses that the manager tried to call up but the number is busy. I don’t have any missed calls, even from my wife’s number. Even it is busy they don’t try a second time neither they try to email me since they have my email ID with so many complaints.

I’m being cheated here and I am filing a case with consumer court. I am never going to buy a product again with ITS and I recommend you shouldn’t either.
