Living Media India Ltd — non receipt of books

Dear,

I had ordered a set of books on 16/07/08. The pymnts was of rs 574/- through credit card.

Address - Sovereign, 502, Rd4, central Avenue, Kalyaninagar, Pune -06.

It has been a month but I have no communication from the co. regarding the delivery of my books with a free gift of 3 CD's, a set of tupperware & a diamond set.

It is extremely shameful that the such marketing strtegies which dupe people of their money are carried out.

I think The co should refund my money or just give me the delivery of my books.

ON FINAL CONCLUSION - IT SEEMS TO FRAUD CASE AND THEY SELLING GOODS WITH OFFER, WHICH ACTUAL FRAUD OFFER. NOW I AM GOING TO FILE A CASE AGAINT THEM IN CONSUMER FORUM COURT AT CHANDIGARH FOR FRAUD AND HARSHMENT.

For having purchased books/CDs I was offered free gifts and was advised to log on to the web sites http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffers.htm
& http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/offers.htm wherein I was directed to furnish requested details viz.Unique Code, ITBC Membership No, Invoice No & Email.
Despite of furnishing all details( Unique Code:[protected]A[protected], ITBC Membership No:.0GA[protected], Invoice No: ORA[protected], Email :[protected]@canbank.co.in) the site is throwing the error please fill in correct details. The same was brought to their notice and I was advised to log in after 48 hours. Even after 48 hours despite of several attempts the result was the same. I sent several mails to them including to their executives in this regard but I didn't hear any response from them. They are deceiving the members by prompting gifts offers.

Once they come to know of your credit card details they are debiting your card without your consent for the books/CDs which we have not purchased/received and duping the members.

Please any body can guide me/public how to prevent such acts and expose them for their dubious acts and punish for cheating the public.

16 music cds — non availability of given website for claiming free gifts

When I wants log into particular site there was no display as in the given details. I have seen several complaints was lodged by many peoples about same problem which shows what kind of credibility the company have and cautioning the prople be aware. The attitude is nothing but to promote the sales with false promise. Nothing more I want to say.

SAAZ.Indian classical music CDs — Free Gift acquired by you

I had ordered the above product in the month of June 2008 with my payment advise by Credit card, which payment also recived by you in the month of July, 2008. After my regular compliants, I had received the product on 03/12/2008 with your advise letter for climing the free gift. When I visit your site and request my gift, the replay isd showing as " Sorry this offer is closed.I placing of order with payment after six month only received the product and now you are saying this offer is closed. I am not aware, that such compaly like India today is doing like cheep steps .If Iam not received my Free gift which assured by you, In future I never entertain any offer from you.

I had registered for Rs.60 lacs sweepstake entry on the mail received from [protected]@irctc.co.in. Thereafter I got a mail from India Today Book Club (ITBC) for successful registration in the sweepstake entry with passcode.

Thereafter I got a phone call from ITBC offering 20 devotional CD's @Rs.2249. In return they have informed the following freebies worth Rs.14000/- would be provided alogwith the CD's :

1. Reebok Shoes (they have taken my shoe size)
2. Voucher worth Rs.7000 for air travel in India.
3. Holiday voucher for Rs.5000
4. 1 key chain
5. 1 leather purse.

Today I have received vide their invoice no.ORA[protected] only the CD's, key cahin and purse whereas all other things as above have not been received.

On speaking to them they have informed to log on their website bookstoday.in/promos.htm and claim free gifts by mentioning the unique identification number.

Unfortunately after trying several times it is not being logged and shows error in the identification number.

ITBC have failed in their commitments and have failed to deliver the freebies and now are giving excuse of logging on their sites for claiming the gifts. It is misleading and people are fooled after they have made the payment.

The matter is to be taken up seriously with them and ensure they fulfil their committments or pay the money back to me alonwith penalty and fine so that such things are not repeated in future.

India Today Book Club — Not received 16 CD pack,pair of shoes and holiday gift etc

I have sent a multicity cheque no. 797087 of Rs.2249for purchase of 16 cd SAAZ pack, pair of shoes, gift vocher for purchase of jewelary and gift vocher for holiday pachage on dated 30 AUG 2008 .Money have been withdrawn from my account on 10 OCT 2008 FROM PNB model town karnal, but till date i have not received any thing, after several requets/complaints on telephone.
I shall be oblidged if something can be done or my money should be returned immediately.
