[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — Not able to avail the holiday voucher package promised by them

Exactly the same thing has happened to me ...
I called to their delhi number[protected], she said, they will send the unique number for holiday package, in one week time..
it is been more than 10 days.. I RECEIVED NOTHING FROM THEM.
They have to answer for this...

So this offer is framed to cheat us right?? i was about to make a payment for 3 cds, adidas bag and holiday vouchers. but just found out its a fraud. So i wont pay now..how can they give such an offer i think we should think the trap that they are framing

The unique no. given in invoice is not accepted by their login site.

it is fully cheating with peoples, cumstomers.

I was paid and collect the cd. but i have not receive the holiday voucher. india today book club people is not give correct answer about this regard.

But the page is not opening.

Friends if you find the solution to register the holiday package please reply me also.

The CD's they sent was not good and not installing properly in the system. it showing the error when we open the CD.

You need to do the following things to avail the holiday voucher.

U have to call up the customer care no.[protected]. they'll immediately give you the unique id i[censored] give them ur ITBC no.(membership no.). I got the code on the first call itself.
make sure u r infront of the PC. Enter the code given by them while still speaking to them. So that u can make sure that the code given by them works. Once you submit u'll get confirmation.

But here is the tricky part. They have the following rules.

Send the below mentioned documents the address given below at least 30 working days before the 1st preferred booking date only by courier :

Today I recieved mail from India Today & IRCTC and I paid Rs.574 for Britannica Encylopedia, Addidas bag, Rs.300/- Book club for 1 year, Rs.2990/- Holiday package.

Reading the fraud and Rs.800/- extra for Holiday I think I also got trapped for this fruad. I am very annoyed that such renowed companies like India Today & IRCTC are going to extent to fraud the people like persons of Nigeria, African are doing by sending fraud mails.

I think this should be figure out in rival channels of Aaj Tak also like NDTV extra

This is a fraud. Please don't pay anything and fall in their trap

THEIR SHOULD NOT BE ANY EXTRA CHARGES OF RS800/O FOR HOLIDAY PACAGES ETC. AS IT IS INBUILT IN GIFT VOUCHER

Can I add my two bits and say that I have been cheated by these people as well. The y simply don't respond to repeated mails. What is amazing is that this is a concern we associate with one of the pioneers of thought and information revolution -- Mr. Aroon Poorie. Now I will go around telling everyone that after this even the news and analysis in India Today is suspect.

i too booked on 11.05.08. i only received three cds on 18.06.08. The adidas bag was not sent to me. Also, the membership no & web login number given for availing the holiday offer are not working. It is unecessary for us to go into all the details to ascertain whether it is cheating or not. As many have been cheated, it is better to lodge a complaint in the consumer court and leave the matter to the law to decide.

India Today Book Club — Not been able to log in

Dear Sir/Madam,
I do not know how but started getting the mail from ITBC and some books offer. Ultimately we agreed to buy some and got three CD vide invoice no ORB[protected] dated 25.05.08. An order no is also there (not given by me) OGB[protected]dated 21.05.08.
Now that I received the CD, but no free gift was there.
An instruction was there that to claim we need to log on to http://offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffers.htm .
But not been able to get in to the ITBC site with the log in ID and password given on the invoice are not working.
Pl let me know the secret of this scheme other it will be difficult to believe any organisation of such kind in India.

India Today Book Club — non recieving of the adidas bag and holiday vocher

i ordered for the 3 cds and free gift of adidas bag and the holiday vocher through the indiatodaybookclub.com, i recieved the cds but i did not get neither the adidas bag nor the hloiday vochers, they avised me to enter the offersindiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffers.htm.i entered the site and entered the ITBC membership number, invoice number etc but the reply i got was the numbers are invalid.they have mentioned about the unique code that is printed in the invoice of the order which is also confusing, my membership number is ITBC08476433.please let me know what is th esolution for this ...this appears like a cheating in the name of INDIA TODAY ..which is unacceptable and unbearable .

I got a VPP of Rs 734/- without even ordering a book. It looks like the book club itself don't have the values which the books teach. They just want to encash by misguiding the members.

I have received the books and paid Rs699.00, but have not received the holiday package4 and adidas bag.

LIVING MEDIA/INDIA TODAY gifts /holiday vouchers is the biggest fraud of the decade.i have paid 534 not received any thing two months passed by.i have written off.They proved what is india today corruption, cheating, rape and robbery.therefore name it self says they are cheats.I will keep on writing and telling the refined fraud of Living media to every one and publish in UK/USA
about the frauds of so called great Book company.I will drag them to court and ensure justice
