[Resolved] Indian Postal Service — non delivery of parcel | |
I won a bid on a e-bay item!The seller sent the parcel from Wisconsin, USA through the unites states postal service(USPS).It was sent as Priority Mail which in India is a registered parcel.The parcel was sent on 27th august 2008.The item had reached India on 3rd September2008. I got the information from the tracking number which was given to me by the seller (cm[protected]us).The same day it also cleared customs in India! 15 days later there is no sign of the parcel reaching me. The destination is Mangalore-575001(Shanthi soudha appt-2, Kaprigudda). I went to the Mangalore postal head office. People over there were very uncooperative. In spite of me giving them the tracking number, they could not track the parcel nor were they making any effort to do sol!I was fed up and i called the Bangalore foreign parcel office.The person on the line dint even bother to listen to my grievance.He straight away says that it will come and hangs up the phone. I also lodged a complaint in the Indian postal service website!! the complaint number was[protected] which even after 4 days the status reads as pending!! Is my complaint gone into deaf ears or in this case i must say blind eyes!!! what a tragedy!! the parcel took hardly 5 days to reach India from the united states.From Delhi/Mumbai to reach Mangalore has taken over 2 weeks and still not reached!!Its time before the Indian postal service gets a make over. If the parcel was addressed to a person by name Michael Shamil instead of Mohammad Shamil, would it have made a difference!!! these are some thoughts which run through your mind when there is religion based bias not only in India but throught the world!! sir, FRONTIER INTERNATIONAL COURIER EXPRESS SERVICE, united kindom are asking me to pay clearance charges for the cheque which they say i wonned in a lottery sevice is this fake...
I have sent an amount of Rs.1000/- (rupees one thousand only) in favour of my mother Smt. JANAKI AMMA P.V., Puthen Veetil House, PO: Muzhakunnu Bazar, via-Peravoor, Kannur District, Kerala, Pin:670 673 through Speed Post vide Money order receipt No.A -1077 (ED[protected]IN) dated28/07/2009 from Connaught Place post Office, New Delhi. My mother is yet to receive this amount ever after a lapse of more than 1 week. Please help on this? She is octogenerian and I sent this monty for her treatment.

Sub;-Complaint regarding material theft from parcel, weighing-6480gms.
Very sorry to state, the on going current affairs of our Post office, the recent incdent happened with me is as under.
I sent one Registered Parcel to Lucknow on 30th july09, from Andheri (RS)Post office, vide no<.4000561> RP B 12, COUNTER NO.2, OP-CODE;20. I was told that this will reach within 3-4 days, where as, it reached on 7th Aug09.There were New clothes in the Parcel, like silk saris, Shirt & pent pieces, and jeans etc, and were sent on the occassion of RAKHI. It is very sad to say that when the Parcel was opened, It was filled with bogus material, and the new clothes were all taken away.
I think it is useless for any one to expect anything in the prevailing situation of the country. But by this I want to warn my friends, and people around, that they may not get trapped like me.

I have applied for an Aadhaar card in Puducherry Post office by Enrollment No. 1037/50001/41506 20/12/2011/12/01/25, when I checked the Aadhaar status, It shows it was successfully generated and dispatched to Puducherry, Lawspet Post office on 04.07.2012.by No. UG[protected]N But till the date I did not get the same. When I enquire about it, the post office staff did not interested to respond in responsible manner. They asked me to come after days then they would search and give it . The service is speed post
i send parcel from Canada to India, it was international small packet parcel, so it has no tracking number. it suppose to be deliver in 6-7 days but almost one month going on receiver didn't received parcel. What the purpose of hiring those theft, cheapster people on govt. post if they kept things or articles in parcel that doesn't belong to them. is there any way in India so people can get their parcel which are sent by their love ones from overseas. ??????
