[Resolved] Indian Railway — Increase of berths in sleeper/Ac.3tier coaches | |
Dear Sir. Recently railway has increased nine seats in railway sleeper(2nd) & ac 3tier coaches by the side berths.It is very uncomfortable & suffocating to lie on extra beths.you not get air & a fatty & old men have to face much difficulties in getting in these berths.As the berth increases coaches get very crowed and there is also prolem of space in keeping luggages of extra person. This arrangement may be suitable for short distance passengers but very difficult and boring for long distant passengers.The passenger of extra berth will seat at other side, wchich is also peculiar. I there suggest the railway authority please either scrap this berth arrangement or add extra one class consisting of these extra berths other than sleeper(2nd) & Ac 3 tier.you may increase the fare of existing sleeper &ac 3tier and decrease fare of81 berth coaches. Ultimate we the middle class passengers want to travel with little comfort in long distance journey. I request all who are disliking this new berth arrangement please complaint to railway authority. This is to rightly bring to the railway ministry notice, that putting 9 berths in a coup is really disgusting and painful for the journey, do not who gave this stupid, absurd idea to the rail minister,
it only adds to the pain, my recent journey from hubli to bangalore by fast passenger was bad and the TT allotted these middle berth by taking god knows how much money and bribe from fellow passengers,
kindly scrap this and let there be two berts side lower and side upper.
the rail minister should definitely think on this and scrap this idea, or else people will stop travelling by the train and perfer airlines and buses.

I bet Mr. Lalu will not able to spent 1 hrs in this side upper & side middle berths.
ON 05/06/09 ALONG WITH MY WHOLE FAMILY WERE RETURING BACK TO KOLKATA FROM OUR SUMMER NORTH EAST TRIP, WHILE IN NJP STATION WERE WENT TO PURCHASE FOOD PRODUCT FROM THE IRCTC STALL, THERE WE FOUNDS THE STALL OWNER WERE SELLING ALL THE PRODUCTS ABOUT 15% RATE HIGHER THEN THE MRP PRINTED RATE, WHEN WE VISITED OTHER IRCTC STALLS HOUSED AT THE SAME STATION WE FOUND THE WERE ALSO BLUNTLY SELLING THE PRODUCT IN SAME EXORBITANT RATES, MOST THE IRCTC STALL ARE SELLING TEA, COFFIE AND OTHER ITEMS IN LESSER QUANTITY THEN PRESCRIBED BY RAILWAYS MOREOVER I USUALLY FINDS THAT THE IRCTC STALL ARE OFTEN SELLING PRODUCTS IN HIGHER RATE THEN PRINTED MRP RATE ALMOST ALL OVER INDIA, WHICH IS VERY UNFORTUNATE, REGRETTABLE AND MATTER OF SHAME FOR RAILWAYS AUTHORITIES AS THIS ILLEGAL, AND OFFENCE ACTIVITIES CAN NOT BE POSSIBLE UNLESS DUE TO INCOURAGMENT AND PATRONAGE OF FEW RAILWAYS AUTHORITIES.

This new birth concept is realy make the life of long journey passanger hell... its like we are no longer human being we looks like pet animal in those cages looking seat ...why we should give so much money for reservation if we are treated like this..Now those person who do not go in reservation coaches are better as there is no this type of seat in side middle birth, plese remove this as this is very suffocting in this time (summer)..
I completely agree that it is extremely uncomfortable having three berths in the side portion of the coach. There's no room there and the third person has no place to sit!!! This change is devoid of any common sense, and truly passengers feel caged and suffocated. It is not worth the money we pay to travel in this uncomfortable manner. Better to go by low fare air travel.
