[Resolved]  Indian Railway — Auto cancellation of W/L e-ticket

Hi,

This is really surprising policy of indian railway where the the wait-list e -ticket will be automatically cancelled after chart preparation. At the last moment when you are hoping for best, if the odds are against you...you might be without ticket in minutes. When e-ticket facility is given for passenger easiness and make them comfortable with the use of latest technology, Lot o[censored]s are suffering bad side of this. Thanks to Indian railway. I strongly feel this policy should change, and an alternative solution has to be provided. Because suppose we are getting W/L 10 by internet booking, we are hoping it will get confirmed after chart preparation...but surprised to see if it not confirmed we are without ticket as ticket is automatically cancelled.

I urge INDIAN RAILWAY to please consider this policy and change it soon by using latest and managed softwares for people who don't have other choice rather that travelling on same day at any condition.

Indian Railways — Ticket booking not being confirmed

I had booked an e ticket (Tatkal) from New Delhi (NDLS) to Chennai (MAS) by Tamil Nadu Express (2622)
for June 4,2010 on June 2, 2010 at 8:30 am.

My payment details were taken from my SBI debit card but the confirmation has not been sent. The amount deducted was Rs 2,280. The track ID is [protected]. I want either confirmation or refund of the money at the earliest.

Indian Railways — not allowed to board train in spite of having valid ticket

I,Swapan Roy had a valid ticket(B[protected] from Bankura on Rupashi Bangla express on 20/07/10.I along with many others were not allowed to board train by Trinamool Congress party workers as they were taking party cadres to Kolkata for their rally on 21/07/10.
When I went to the ticket counter for refund they could not match the ticket number and misbehaved by thowing away the ticket not citing any reason for refusing refund.
I sincerely beg for my refund as I dont have money to waste and want to lodge a complaint against such unlawful behaviour in this so called democratic country.

Indian Railways — RETURN OF CANCELLED E TICKET

I had booked an e ticket from PAYYANUR to MADGAON on[protected]. The payment was made through ICICI bank account. After booking I closed the account. I had to cancel my ticket subsequently and it was intimated that account has been in my account from where payment was made. Since I have already closed the account it is requested that the amount may be credited in my ICICI account no[protected].

Guys Railways is doing good by cancelling.. Railways cant consider all scenerios, they can do what best way is possible. I feel railway should strictly not allow people boadring reservation compartment if the ticket is waitlist. Its surprise to see people's comment on railays when they r doing so good service. One way we say our govt should be corrupt free otherside we only resepobsible for corruption
actually indian railways should seriously think about it

Rail E-ticket — after cancellation not refund my money

On 20th OCT,I have booked my railway e-ticket from yatra.com but any reason i've cancel my booking but my money not refunded.

Indian Railways — Allow Internet railway reservation but follow different route

I don't know, who will fight with Indian Railways. The Customer Care is pathetic, very much mis behaved. They think they are ALL in ALL..

Description of the grievance:
This is very unfortunate that, the IRCTC site does gives us to reserve ticket for the below mentioned train, BUT in actual the train follows a different route. This is a mere harassment for the passenger concerned. This only I came to know, when I call up the Railway enquiry (139) for inquiring about the train status. Came to me as a surprise that train in consideration does not run through that route (Note: BUT can do RESERVATION through online irctc online reservation system)

So. when asked by calling up at CUSTOMER CARE for the reason why this is being enabled in Internet to book the ticket, they simply don't have any answer and even not able to guide what to do, Customer care executive is not all well behaved, they have a ATTITUDE. Their people need to be well trained. They are saying Customer Care, but sad story is they don't know how to care the customer

Even it does not allow to cancel the eTicket through online TDR system, snapshot shown

This method is good.. I agree.. But irctc should show the status of the ticket as "cancelled" to avoid the confusion.. What say??

Indian Railway — CANCELLATION

Sir,
I had booked my eticket from Nagpur to Thane by Vidarbha Exp date of journey[protected],and by connecting training from Thane to Karmali ON[protected] by Mandovi express
(PNR NO.[protected]). Vidarbha exp was scheduled to reach Thane at 0600 hrs and I was to get Mandovi exp at Thane at 0745hrs. But because Vidarbha exp reqached Thane 4.30 hrs late, I could not get my connecting train Mandovi exp. I approached to station master Thane to get the remark on my e-ticket for late arrival of Vidarbha exp. at Thane by 4.30 hrs., he told me that since mine was e-ticket he could not help me out and while my sone tried to cancel my Thane-Karmali on internet, he was getting the message continously that chart is prepared. Under these circumstances I could not cancell my ticket and had to bare a loss of ticket cost.
Through this I would like to know whether is it possible to get back the amount of ticket and if it is so kindly inform the procedure.

As per rule the W/L passenger ( if after preparation of Chart) should not enter the train. Let us follow the rule to avoid inconvenience to all other passengers.

railway ticket status — chart preparation

if we book for any train ticket from Kakinada (Local travels) ticket is getting confirmed but if we book the ticket before one month and suppose status RAC at that time also not confporming.

w8ing list e-ticket should not be cancelled automatically. if some body dont want to journey he have to cancelled his ticket like i-ticket. there is no difference between e-ticket & i-ticket. only & only a small difference is printouts. if we are ready to take w8ing list ticket bcos of some urgency then why indianrailway has cancelled it. if they cancelled e-ticket then they have to also cancelled w8ing i-ticket.
indianrailway have to think about this matter seriously.
CAN I PERFORM MY JOURNEY WITH WAIT LISTED TICKET ALONG WITH MY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS HAVING CONFIRMED TICKETS
