[Resolved] Tneb — Fault Meter Reading | |||
TNEB - Nanganallur - Branch. I need a immediate attention to my problem which am paying Electricity Bill around 4 thousand because of the fault meter. For which I am regularly going in person to the EB Office located in our area and very irresponsible persons are there very worst response and when Contacted one of the staff not even known whether they are an employee or contract - they after a long explanation gave a cell no. and told it belongs to the A.E. of the area and they not even disclosing their name or the A.E. name . I went in person to the E.B office no. of days almost for a week 4/5 times and none of the time I can able to even see or meet the A.E. and whenever asked was told by the lady staff who seats out of the A.E.'s room - A.E. is not here no more explanation whether he is on leave or will be coming in an hour or so. I am literally don't know whom to contact to get my things cleared. I don't know whether they expect any bribe. Because few other persons - staff of the E.B office mainly the person called as C.I. - told its tough there is a demand for the new meter to be replaced and you will also be in a big Queue. We can't tell how long the process of changing the meter will take.. I am having our Meter showing very excess reading irrespective of the usage of the electricity. Our E.B. Connection Number : 244/ 182/ 209 Its in the name of V. Viswanathan [ House Owner] The Electricity meter working for the above connection seems to be having fault as it is showing reading roughly between 17 to 22 units per day. We have also verified / checked our Air-Conditioner & Refrigerator with two technicians and it seems to be normal. The meter reading is increasing day by day with a huge difference and its a huge money I have already paid last month around 4,000/- for which I have not even utilized for Rs.1,000/-. I have also given an oral complaint to the Nanganallur - A.E. [ Was told Incharge] on 27th Aug, 2011 and subsequent to that I have given a detailed Written Complaint to the Nanganallur - A.E. on 30th Aug, 2011 and I followed up with the staff on the same for the replacement of our Meter Box for more than a week. But till now no action was taken and I am unnecessarily paying a huge amount to E.B. for which I have not consumed the relevant Electricity and I don't know to which level should I need to escalate to get a proper action for my problem.
