[Resolved]  Infosys — FALSE PROMISE

Hi All,

Please never trust INFOSYS HR POLICIES during interview time..

They will promise one post and while you join you will be offered some other post.

Believe me its the worst company I have ever seen in life.

Never join or work for a Company like INFOSYS.

Its better to work for an in-house company rather than a FAKE NAMED ONE CALLED AS INFOSYS.

Infosys — PAN CARD

Hi,

I have lost my PAN card (APRPM7596K) in March, 2008. Though i have applied for a duplicate PAN card,
so far i have not received anything.

I would really appreciate if you do the needful, so that i can receive my PAN card as soon as possible.

Infosys — Stop the service

I had activated the service - SLOKE and DAILY PRAYER, so i m getting SMS daily from 5432101 and call from [protected], It's not a airtel service, I called the customer care exe. many times they are unable to find the service and could not stop it,
Plzzzzzzzzzzzz stop this service, It cuts 2 Rs daily for 2 messages.
I m getting messages from 5432101, I have called to Airtel Cust.Care, But they are unable to even to find the service. finally I just want to stop the messages from 5432101

They give training in one technology, and put you for work in another. They call it 'you will gain experience'.

They are bloody conservatives who have gained the expertise to exploit people. These people are wolves in sheep's clothing. They tell you all good things about themselves to freshers and to the media, but there is nothing out there for the employee's benefit. Your career would solely depend on the mercy of the brainless person who becomes your manager. If you are a fresher or working in wipro, tcs or hcl, I have just one word - beware, dont become meat to these wolves. Even if you are in there going onsite or making huge money, you will reach a day when you'll feel- Its not worth working for this company..or should i say...its not worth working for these people because one day they are going to ditch you out.

However, I have great respect for its founders NRN, Nandan and others (but not that dadiwala Mohandas pai who is imposing tie rules) who built an empire in 1 generation. There are awesome buildings and facilities are world class. But ultimately what matters is how your work-day goes. These useless HR policies and some mud-headed managers could make your life miserable. They are blood-suckers who would eat you from inside... In short, its not about money and people. Its ONLY about money, even if it means exploiting people.

Sorry guys. I might sound like a morose pessimist who is out there to crib. Some of you would already be up against me with your idiotic opposing views - but the truth remains...

Lets accept the fact that if and when you are vulnerable people will exploit you, and the IT field is such that most people joining there are vulnerable for the first few years in service.Introspect and ask yourself-how much do you really know about computers and software when you are a fresher working in these IT services companies?I would say they are doing a Great service by giving you a platform to develop your skills and abilities.Ofcourse they exploit you, the magnitude of which depends on the project you are in and your manager.Most of your collegues working there are super-nerds who must thank Infosys, TCS and the likes atleast they got one job.Many Managers are pathetic, most do not remember coding at all.These are hard facts.If you are talented, and most important, smart enough, develop your skills and technical knowledge.If you have guts and dare to stick around for 8-10 years, you can reach a position when you will be sought after.Thats pretty much fair I think, in the long run, compared to 'traditional' jobs where people would take years to get promoted and there was dirty, unfare politics.Atleast One thing is guarrenteed here, if you are capable your demand will sky rocket after few years.
I do accept that In the initial few years, it becomes very painful at times to work with .Never idolize a company, idolize your work.Be clear and try to work and gain expertise in some technology.Well, . be ready with plans to escape, which includes switching jobs in extreme cases, if you think you are being treated unfairly.Most IT Services companies are equally Good or Bad.Your luck-depends solely on the managers you are working under.Also, remember, who said that the life of a software engineer is always fair?

I worked in Infosys as well as in many other MNC's like GE, SAPlabs etc. This is a pretty recession time.It is not govt. offices where govt. prints and disburses money. In private you need to bill and convert it into cash to pay your salaries. See the stats-last year IT budgets down by 40%. This year again 30% reduction in what is left-honeymoon is over, it has suddenly become a "divorce"period with many fortune 500 clients-as bills are turning out into bad debts. You are into Knowledge /Service Industry your flexibility in terms of technology is the least expected thing you should have- Give away your inertia to learn new things- Talk to your managers-never get upset- be optimists-be open-explore alternatives. I was into technical and then into PM at infy when recession hit-I took a choice to quit-I am from MS .net stream. I got MOSS 2007 certified and host of other MS certifications. Now I am a solution architect with 125% more take home. Don't go after pleasure or keep you at your comfort levels, keep doing what is right-Give up your Inertia, maintain calmness-You can still do great things in IT...

Infosys — Tax refund

I have filed my tax return for financial year 2007-08. I have not yet received my tax refund. Could please provide status.acknowledgement#[protected]. My cell phone is [protected].
This place is a hole. this hole was dug by 7 master minds who slowly are covering the hole with descent people and themselves are coming out one by one. Already 4 are out of it. Once all go out, they would cover up the hole and escape. Real corrupt minds.
Infosys pays less than average standards they have more than about 30-40 PERCENT variable salary...so your in-hand salary is ATLTEST 10-15 PERCENT LESS THAN ON PAPER SALARY.which you get to know after joining it. Again this variable is split among ur performance/unit perfromance/company performance.Indiviavidual perf is around 5%. If the company/unit doesn't perform well u will get less salary

Even u perform exceptionaly in ur project they link your appraisal with training/certification and other stuff only to pay less for the employee.

i would also like to share my expereince here .Never got a chance to work with infy so not sure about work culture and all but some days back were there for a interview and had very bacd experience .after been there for 7 hrs, finshed all rounds of interview .They asked to wait for 2 week to get offer letter .aftr two week got a mail that they dont have suitable opening for me .what is this .After clearing all round and decided on salry part, it seems they dont have suitable opening for me .

It sucks and they dont pay u well...they grill u like anything for 6 months during training which is mostly at mysore .. and they make your life hell by conducting as many as 3 tests per week.. they suck the blood out of you and at last pay you very less..in hand close to 13, 000 Rs. for freshers. These fools dont know that in such a costly world..what can u get at such a compensation...?? It has one of the highest attrition rate..save your sorry asses and run away from this company as soon as u can..!!!

Yes now a days no one want to join Infosys because now they are not hiring employees but they want slaves to work which has made Infosys a pathetic place to work. I[censored] get into Finacle it one of the worst project they are running, If one employee want to change the project the managers are shouting and threatening the employees, they are not even leaving the female employees. After complaining to HR also their is no hope as these people are supporting managers very much and the result of complains end up by losing the job. My question is if the company have no guts to take action based on the complaints then Y all these policies are there. One time was there everyone want to work for Infosys now everyone is running from infosys as they dont want to get into slavery, torture and mental stress.
