[Resolved]  Irctc — Pathetic website & customer support system

Dear Sir,

I tried to book a ticket for two on 5th November, 2007 using the online ticket booking system of Indian Railways. Before I could get the confirmation of the booking the session expired. I checked the booking status in my IRCTC account but there was no update there. On checking the transaction's status in my credit card's account I found that payment had been done. I called to IRCTC help desk on 6 November, 2007 where I was told that the transaction would be reverted back within 2-3 days. After waiting for more than 10 days my bank (HDFC) still claims that the transaction has not been reverted back from Indian Railway's side. The details of the ticket, transactions, and my IRCTC account are as such:

I have lost my patience after calling again and again on the IRCTC customer care numbers[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected]. First of all no one dares to answer the phone, and on that the system is so bad that it automatically disconnects you after a certain interval of time. This means just keep calling and praying that someone will answer the call. I also tried to send emails to both `[protected]@irctc.co.in` as well as `[protected]@irctc.co.in` but all in vain.

This is when I just want to know the status of transaction for the tickets that couldn't book. I don't know what would happen to others. The IRCTC website has no instruction about where to go and what to do in case customer care and emails fail. I am in an absolute chaos now and have almost left the hope for refund. It would a real miracle if something comes out of this post.

I am rakesh i booked a flight ticket yesterday (12-10-'11) my fare has been deducted from my account but i did not get any ticket details, i'm very new to this website and i have no idea what to do, i would be thankful if someone give me some details...

IRCTC — payment sites

hi,

In irctc website for online payment only few banks are available. I wish to include few more banks like deutsche bank, allahabad bank etc. As we are not able to book online.
Sir on 29 th july 2012, i have booked an ticket in janshatabdi express from madhupur to durgapur in 2s class but from my accunt it has been transicted two times .so sir try to refund my money to my account as soon as possible my transiction id is [protected], name of passenger is niti kumari, shipra kumari.
to whom ever it concerns, i tried to book tickets through irctc yesterdar (24/11/2012)all went through well except when payment was in progress. the session expired and the ticket was not provided. so made a second booking for the same ticket. and every thing went well after nearly 2 hours on the net. but i came to know that the irctc has been paid twice for one ticket.instead of being paid Rs 500/-they have been paid Rs 1000/-. now from whom or from where do i get the amount back?
I think IRCTC is miniting money from such kind of refund cases.

because of some reason I had not travel by this train. Due to After Chart preparation, I had filed TDR for both cases.
Today is 13 june I had not received fund yet.
