[Resolved] Jet Airways — DAMAGE to BAGGAGE | |
Hi, I traveled in Jet Airways from Kolkata to Delhi in the last week of September 2009. The flight booked was via Patna which required a change of aircraft. It was a very UNPLEASANT flight. I boarded the flight from Kolkata and was carrying a brand new suitcase as a gift for my wife.While boarding at Kolkata I was told that I do not need to worry about my baggage as the same would be managed by Jet Airways.However when I was standing at the luggage conveyor belt to my UTTER SURPRISE I found my baggage (picture attached) totally damaged (exterior) on the trolley.It was a brand new suitcase and also a gift for my wife. I spoke with the airport staff of Jet Airways at the airport – however they did not seem to be interested to resolve the issue.I expected a replacement of the same – I showed them the relevant bills and also date of purchase as a proof. There was no respite.I felt let down by your esteemed carrier. Hence threw away by privilege card (BLUE) as time and again I have been made to feel by Jet Airways (Call Centre) that the card has NO MEANING. FYI – I have given a written complaint at the Patna Jet Airways office along with my Card – which I think has been gracefully taken back by Jet Airways. However till date NO REVERT has been received till date on the status of the complaint. It only reaffirms my belief that a customer is ONLY a COMMODITY for JET AIRWAYS and NOTHING MORE THAN THAT. Happy flying and take Good Luck. Damage some more baggage’s – keep the Jet Flag high. My earlier address provided was a KOLKATA address and a KOLKATA mobile number. However my hand written complaint given at PATNA AIRPORT had my new number[protected]. Pardon me for marking the mail to a lot of you as I just wanted all to feel the pleasant experience I had flying Jet Airways. However I find an email requesting me to provide my date of travel. I clearly remember to have provided my PC Card number during my booking / check in. Further I do not recollect the exact date of Travel – however your PATNA airport ground staff has a hard copy written complaint I had handed over to them. The PATNA JET AIRWAYS airport ground staff as per my understanding should have – 01. Forwarded my complaint given in hard copy to the complaint cell for follow up. 02. The Privilege card which I returned at the airport should have been sent to the concerned department 03. If the above TWO were done you would not have been running in circles to resolve this issue.
