Jet Lite — grievances on reservations made

The following complaint was emailed to [protected]@jetlite.com on 05 May 08 (afternoon) on the directions given to me by the airlines staff at the Indore airport. You are requested to look in the matter.

Sir/Madam,

1. Ref acknowledged complaint number 5726 dated 05 May 2008, Indore.

2. As stated in the complaint, I am resident of Mhow (30 Km from Indore). I booked three seats in the flight S2-6148 (Indore-Delhi) for travel on 04 May 2008. The flight got cancelled and I was informed about the same by Miss Shivani Gupta, who also gave me option of travelling the same evening to Mumbai and then to Delhi in the night or travel in the morning to Delhi via Bhopal by Jet airways. I opted for the second option and was told to report by 0800h in the morning. I took an early morning taxi and reported at the airport at 0730h with my family. On enquiry about my new ticket I was told that I am not booked for the flight and that they could not adjust me in any way.

3. With no one to help out I waited for the office of the jetlite to open i.e. at 0930h, so that they could issue me with an endorsed ticket for the flight S2-6148 for the three o[censored]s. Finally they booked us for the same. I had to come back to Mhow by Taxi and will be leaving for the airport again in the evening as I could not wait anywhere else (no option provided to me).

4. Also my onward journey to Jalandhar on 05 May 08 via the evening Shatabdi train (pnr no[protected] ticket no[protected] had to be cancelled (cancellation charges 50%) and fresh bid for reservation in the tatkal quota had to be made (i.e. extra charges had to be paid). Since I could not get seats for Jalandhar, I had to reserve my seats for Chandigarh (pnr no - [protected]). After reaching Chandigarh I plan to go to my final destination in a taxi.

5.All this hassle and loss of time(leave period) and money could have been avoided if Miss Shivani Gupta would have first confirmed the reservation on the next day morning flight and then given a confirmation to me.

6. It is my humble request that adequate compensation be given to me for the inconvenience caused to me and my family. Also it is iterated that I am an Army Officer and I cannot afford to cater for such kind of incoveniences.

7. In anticipation of a positive response.

Yours faithfully,
Vineet Ohri

We were on your flight from Delhi to Colombo via Madras on the 19th of may 2008.
First of all when we checked in our luggage at the checking counter we had excess of 130kgs. which we do understand that there is a limit that the airline could wave off. The lady at the counter Ms Rocha was extreamly rude and so was the duty supervisor whom she had to refere regarding the excss baggage we were told to take our bags anf get out if we don't pay for it. Mow that's not the way you treat a passanger and the manner which they spoke to us was shamefull for your airline. We are passangers who travel with srilankan and jetairways and I must agree that they are very helpful and customer orientated which I belive that you must employe people a customer service back round where yopu will not loose passangers as we would think a millon times before we trave with your airline again as we are frequent travellers.

Thanking you

Mrs Tania Ekanayske
