one of my relative recommended this hospital for infertility treatment...i am not aware of this hospital but from the past 7 months i am taking infertility treatment here.As far as my opinion is concerned there are so many negative things i faced with this hospital.
1. when coming to appointment it's 30 days advance.even after appointment also they wont allow you to see the doctor on time we have to
wait for 3 to 4 hours and that too the nurses will send whom ever they want not by order also
2. when coming to duty doctors some are good and some they dont care also
3. when coming to scan doctors they are such rude persons i never seen.they simply use their words harshly and they never listen to
patients feelings also .if any patient asks any doubt they dont answer to that question and they simply tell not to waste their time we
dont have chance to ask doubts also
the way the scanning doctors treating procedure with patients is very careless and they behave like they have to complete their daily
work quickly asap .do you know how many people are waiting for a child for years and from how much distance they are coming for this
treatment with lots and lots of pain.pls do not treat patients carelessly
4. i would like to tell about the nurses also they are so headwaited and careless people not even answer to our questions also.i had a doubt
to be cleared from kurian joseph doctor i asked nurses that i want to meet and clarify my doubt, but these nurses they are simply telling
with out any appointment you should not meet doctor .if there is any urgent doubt what can we do...the hospital management should
change some rules which is favourable to patients...
pls go through the issues of public to the hospital who comes to your hospital with lots of hopes and pains

this hospital is terrible in patient management, right now with all the construction works its a miserable place, junior DOCTORS are very rude and they dont bother about patients pain, very inexperienced, doing all the trials they can, they dont explain anything to patients, labour room is EVEN MORE HORRIBLE,
Dr.REKHA spends only few seconds with patients, very rude, whole hospital running with the inexperienced, rude juniors, so called doctors.
dont ever send your relatives or loved ones to this place. They will be back in pieces, its a place of verbal abuse as well.
these people are not fit to be doctors. their license should be barred, so that the rest act properly with the patients.

I just wanted to know whether any doctors/ hospitals can change the gender of a baby when a mother is pregnant for 4th to 5 th
week without the notice of the mother or any of the family members? as that is the time where a gender can be analysed in the
mother's womb. I know that through my friend in US. because i have a doubt few do that in hospitals which is
highly illegal.

If at all the facilities and care has been improved in JNH after all this feedback, it's worth registering our feelings here! Else they can continue to be the same with the same lackadaisical attitude, with no concern for preciousness of the human life they help deliver.
I am here to complain about Joseph Nursing Home located at Dr Gurusamy Road Chetpet!
Dr. Kurian Joseph is one of the best gynecologists in Chennai. My family members gave me a very good review about the doctor and they all have been successfully treated by him in the year 97-98. when i conceived for the first time, I took a bad decision of choosing him for my prenatal and delivery even after 20 years thinking he will be the same . Truth is HE DON'T HAVE TIME for his patients as you are one of his 1000 patients(I don't know the right number of patients but he checks like 40-60 patients per day). Also, he often travels ABROAD and becomes unavailable.
1. you are just name sake patient of Dr. kurian joseph. You will meet him for just 2 mins every month inspite of his availability.
2. Duty Doctors( less experienced) are your actual doctors who are going to treat you with regular tests. They are like 5-10 duty doctors and you will be consultinga different doctor each time you visit. So, you don't have any PERSONAL CARE . YOU Just show your reports and they write you tests and medicines.
3.MOST of the Nurses are rude and patient care is worst. You wont get answer for your doubts or questions.
During my delivery, i had a very bad experience with this nurse named VIYAKULA MARY. when i was in labour pain, She was totally arrogant and even physically harassed me. I felt like running out of the labour ward. Mostly the baby is delivered with the help of midwives and the duty doctor comes only when you are about to deliver the baby.
Totally there are only two beds in the labour ward. so you need to shift to a normal bench if you are having less pain and the one with more pain will be preferred. I was one among 5 women who were in labour pain. Imagine the situation. we were shifted here and there because of lack of facilities.
4. Money minded hospital just like other hospitals in chennai. Star hotel room rent. It will cost you around one lakh for a C Section! They charged like Rs 5500 for a matchbox size room saying its near to labour ward and you will be shifted to a bigger one after delivery.
Apart from all this, when I was admitted for my delivery,
A 9 month pregnant woman carrying twins lost one of her baby. it was pure negligence by the labour ward nurses and midwives. She got admitted in the night with mild labour pain. It was early morning when she was rushed to a emergency C section. There was no proper care because Doctors and nurses went to SLEEP . I saw the nurses SLEEPING under reception desk during night time. when I went to check the heart rate of my baby every 4 hrs.. I tried to wake up the nurse but she screamed to come after 1 or 2 hours.
I was waiting for 3 days in the hospital to have a natural childbirth. After 60 hrs, I ended up with C section because my baby heart rate dropped with pitocin IV . Also throughout my delivery, they never revealed that Dr kurian joseph is UNAVailable because he went to the US. One more thing, labour ward is like exhibition where different doctors checks you at different time. That situation really irritated me because each dr gave their opnions and suggestions for treating me. It will be more comfortable if you are monitored by a single doctor during your delivery.
Even when my friend was admitted for her delivery there before a month, Dr was unavailable because of his abroad trip.
So, I wasted all my time and Money for a doctor who wasn't there for me. I ended up with complications because of improper care of less experienced Drs in the hospital. I don't blame DR. KURIAN's treatments. He is highly successful but it has turned money minded now and he doesn't provide any personal care for his patients.
All this reasons are going to SPOIL the good reputation of Dr. Kurian and his hospital which he earned few decades ago .

Hi I completely agree with Divya Meenakshi comment about geetha who is a duty doctor. She is very rude and arrogant. She doesn't have patience to listen to the patient and lacks empathy too. I had a very bad experience with her 3 years ago. Dr. Kurian joseph is a nice person, polite and takes good care of his patient. But, the duty doctors and nurses are very pathetic. Duty doctors r very important as most of the time it is very difficult to meet dr. Kurian. Please hire good doctors and nurses for the benefit of patients. Please be very cautious with doctors like Geetha who r not sincere and just spoiling the name of the hospital.
