Lenovo — Laptop G580 Manufacturing Defect

I bought a Lenovo G580 on 20th of March, Serial Number:WB091992 xx, Initially it was loaded with dos. After reaching home I loaded with windows 7 and windows xp dual boot. It was having a touchpad issue since it started. Next day itself registered complaint in Lenovo technical support- docket number: [protected].I took the laptop to Caddons Service centre next to Caddons from where I bought this laptop. The worst customer service I've experienced ever. The Asst. Mgr-Service Rahul said laptop will get replaced within a weeks time. But its been over 2 weeks since I bought my laptop, and coz of this issue am still not willing to load my office programs into it. I need a complete replacement for this manufacturing defect. I called up Lenovo Technical Support, Lencare and Lenovo Customer Care, for more than 17 times, and all were diverting calls to each other, without a resolution, even tried contacting [protected]@lenovo.com (promised reply in ad in Lenovo Website, but a bogus id in reality, where no response so far). . Each time I contact Customer Care or Technical Support or Service Centre they are redirecting to each other, Last week when I called Technical Support, that executive was telling that part which is failing is not available in India and need to be imported. Actually it was an Unopened box item and it was a faulty piece and why should I wait almost a month to solve this. I definitely don't want this serviced, I need either replacement or money back, I'll go for some other brand laptop with at least better service and support other than LENOVO .I had a call from Lenovo Warranty department, stating replacement is done from pop department only. I ve been behind this for over 2 weeks, lost of money, energy and work.I have been re-routing to all toll-free numbers since 22nd March .Is this Lenovo's worldwide support service for providing a customer with a defective laptop and making the process lag for over 2 weeks time? I Seek Justice, if this is the value they give to customers they should definitely stop operations in India.

We have purchased a loptop from lenovo showroom – galaxy it lenovo (chembur Mumbai) bill dated no. 21-january-2008.

With in 2 days we started getting a problem in the laptop, there is some major problem with the laptop and till date we have no utility for product. We have given it for the 4 time to service centre and still they not able to detect the problem nor they are providing us any proper statement and they are not even ready to replace it.

I asked them for the replacement for the product and service centre is saying “we don’t have authority to replace the product”
Even our dialer is saying “ till I get instructions from service centre that laptop can’t be repared I can’t replace the laptop”

The point is Sir, even after 3 months if they are not able to detect the problem in the laptop (that why it is hanging)then I think they should replace it.
Even yesterday 27 –march-2008 I have sent it for the 5 th time to service centre.i am still facing the same (hanging problem)

But the problem here is, on one is helping us . every one is giving excuses.and pointing other person.

I don’t know what to do now, I am fadeup of running behind everyone and asking for replacement.

I also faced similar problems.

The only solution is to tell whosoever you meet about the bad quality of the product. I have made it a point to dissuade every prospective purchaser laptops to desist buying lenovo laptops. Now we know how bad these Chinese products can be.

I have purchased a Lenovo Y510 69Q on 10th September 2008 from ITJ Panipat, (Mittals Mega Mall, Plot No. SM 3&4, Sector- 25(II) Shop No. 4-5-6, Ground floor, Panipat)
Now I have facing a problem with Hinges of Note book they are broken, I Have contact with your service centre at Karnal they said this is a manufacturing defect in this particular lot of note book.
So kindly issue DOA for this.

Lenovo Laptop — bad response from the service center

SIR/MADAM,
I AM VIVEK SUMAN FROM KOLHAPUR , MAHARASHTRA. I HAD PURCHASED A LENOVO WARRANTY PACK OF ONE YEAR FOR MY LAPTOP. ONE DAY WHEN I OPENED THE LID OF MY LAPTOP ONE OF THE HINGES BROKE OFF. WHEN I WENT TO THE SERVICE CENTER I WAS TOLD THAT THE HINGE COULD NOT BE REPLACED BECAUSE ITS PHYSICAL DAMAGE.
BUT ITS NOT SO I HAD JUST OPENED THE LID AND THAT'S IT.
PLEASE HELP ME.

Lenovo Laptop — misleading the customer

I purchased Lenovo laptop for my daughter in the month of Jan. 09, immidiatly after purchase I found that it was giving problem while charging, the problem was informed to the customercare and they advise us to load the new driver & it was done, after that the laptop was taken by daughter to USA for her studies in the month of Jun. 09. She found the same problem at USA. She approached Lenovo service station at her place and was told that the particular model was not having warranty/service backup at USA.I approached Lenovo at India and asked where rhey have mentioned that the partcular model is not servicable at some of the countries & the answer was quite funny one should go to the website of Lenovo before purchasing the product. The company has not mention these norms neither in their advertisement nor in their warrenty book. Due to this unfair trade practice I have suffered a lot financially and mentally, and I have brought back the said laptop from USA. My daughter is forced to purchase a new laptop at her place.Kindly advice me for my next step.

LENOVO Computer — defective piece of laptop

i have purchased lenovo Y510 53Q model laptop. even i recommend my friend & he also bought same & after we realised as this laptop is having very heavy LCD which damage the hinge and bottom body. Even i came across many guys having same problem with this model. So, i am seeking for the help for action against the company.

Lenovo — DEFECTIVE FROM VERY FIRST DAY

I BOUGHT A LAPTOP OF LENEVO THAT WAS MY BIGGEST MISTAKE.I HAVE NOT USED THE SAME FOR A SINGLE DAY DUE TO ITS MANUFACTURING DEFECT Y-510 IN 2008 BUT AFTER THAT I HAVE WRITTEN SO MANY MAILS AND LETTERS TO COMPANY BUT THEY ARE NOT TAKING CARE LATER I ARRANGED TO GIVE THE LEGAL NOTICE TO THE COMPANY BUT LATER SOMANY OFFICIALS ARE CALLING ME AND SAYING PL. DON'T FILE CASE BUT WE WILL SETTLE THE CASE OUT OF THE COURT AND THEY ARE WASTING MY TIME AND ALSO NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM EITHER TO GIVE ME THE COMPENSATION AND INTEREST ON THE AMOUNT AND FEES OF ADVOCATE ETC.

sir today i bought a lenovo laptop model no.169669 they offered me free gifts with it headphone optical mouse andcleasing kit but later they charged for it while its price is 24902 and they charged 26000 what should i do now.thanks
