Worst after sales service
My LG LCD 32" 80FR ATR TV was purchased on 18/8/09. After the initial 1 year warranty, I have covered the said set under AMC, this is the third year AMC in progress ( I have entered 2 years AMC). So far the said TV has failed thrice, the first time power supply card failed, the second time LCD panel conked off, and the third time that was on 31/7/12 LCD panel and main board has failed. Neutron which is the service partner of LG in Mumbai takes anywhere between 25 to 30 days to repair the TV. Standard reply given by LG call centre, Neutron team is that required spares are not available, we will repair the TV once the spare parts are made available. In first place, why is LG selling the TV if they do not stock sufficient spare parts to support large customer base in a city like Mumbai? Why does LG India Pvt. Ltd. collect AMC charges in advance if they cannot provide satisfactory service after charging 100% to the customer? After frustrating follow ups, I have written to the MD & Director of LG India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Soon H Kwon, on 10/8/12. Till date there is no response from his office. No wonder LG services has gone from bad to worst. It seems LG is only interested in promoting new business and after sales services hardly matters to them.
It would be more appropriate to say 'Life is Miserable' from their so called marketing theme of Life is Good.
