Sir,

I bought an AIR-CONDITIONER of your company from Rathna Fan House, Pondy Bazaar, Chennai on April 12th, 2008 at the cost of Rs. 24000. It was installed on April 14th, 2008. On 15th April 2008, I raised a complaint (Complaint #[protected] to the Service Engineer (who installed LG Air conditioner in my residence) regarding some noise in the indoor unit of the LG Air conditioner. But the Service Engineers of the LG Electronics (I) Pvt Ltd, AA11, 2nd Avenue, Fathima Towers, Anna Nagar West, Chennai - 40, visited us regarding the complaint after a month and said to replace the indoor unit for a better one. We got the replacement indoor Unit on May 23rd, 2008 and it was installed on June 3rd, 2008. After this replacement also, my problem of the noise in the indoor unit is not yet rectified. I am facing the same problem with the replacement piece of the unit also. I have called the Service Engineers of the LG Electronics (I) Pvt Ltd, AA11, 2nd Avenue, Fathima Towers, Anna Nagar West, Chennai - 40 again to look into the problem yet..But nobody have responded for the complaint till date.

This problem of the LG Air conditioner created a bad impression in whole of your LG household products and Services. My family and Myself are totally disappointed with your LG products and Services.

Note: I will surely donot recomment anyone to buy your LG household products, as it has depressed my whole family. Do me the needful or else refund my money (Rs. 24000) to buy another company airconditioner which provides fast and better service for us.

Even I have a bitter experience.

I gave my reliance mobile (LGRD2670) for service on 23.05.09. I told them clearely that the mobile fell into the water and then only gave it for service.

The mobile was accepted for servicing via receipt no. R[protected]. During the time of acceptence they clearely mentioned that if the board is damaged then we will replace at a cost of Rs. 440/- or else it will cost Rs. 208/- only.

By Friday they called me and said that the mobile cannot be serviced. I asked them what is the reason and they said that it cannot be serviced and asked to come and collect the same.

When I went on Saturday 30.05.09 to collect the mobile by paying Rs.55/- as estimate charge, I enquired the person who was there the reason for not servicing the phone.

He said that the boards can be changed for the mobiles that hasn't been fallen in the water and those mobiles which are not given to other service people other than LG authorised showrooms only will get the benfit of Rs440/- replacement board else the charge for changing the board will be Rs. 1500/-. When this was asked to explain the guy and the girl were rude defining the same. Is this the way you treat customers?

I have a simple question why this was noit mentioned below. Is there a rule comming up now then with LG Service centers so that the people who work there aren't aware of or is that a deliberate negligence.

If you are aware and know the truth from the customer do tell the customer first time itself. do not make them to run around.

I always recomend LG products to my friends and relatives and I do admire them.

But the wayt hese people treated gave me a bad impression on the total LG product.

PROBLEM-1: I bought an LG Washing machine from Jayam & Co Annanager branch, Chennai on July-2nd. When I met my friend the same day evening, he informed me that he was taken for a ride after he was delivered a damaged item by Jayam & Co. I pro actively called Jayam & Co to deliver a brand new and good quality Washing machine.

Item was delivered after 2 days. When the LG service man came to demo this item, we were badly surprised to see that James & Co delivered a damaged Washing Machine. The LG service man informed us to ask Jayam & Co to replace this one as it was just delivered.

When ever I call Jayam & Co, they promise me to get me the replacement unit within 2-4 days. It is now July-13th, 11 days over and nothing tangiable happened. I almost decided to trigger legal action and informed Jayam & Co about this.

Finally a service person from LG called me and informed that I could start using the damaged Washing machine until the new one comes in next one week later!!! He also promised to send me an email to share the confirmation replacement number and a person would come to my house to install the damaged Washing machine. BOTH did not happen until this message is being typed out at 8.33pm on 13/Jul/2009.

PROBLEM-2: The same invoice has an LG Microwave oven. It is NOT yet delivered to me even after 11 days of my 100% Cash payment.

Dear LG management,

May I request tha concerned people in LG do the needful to avoid such incidents in future and avoid unwanted stress to its customer.

LG Electronics — LG Customer support? or a way of making money ?

I bought a double door LG refrigerator on 11/3/2008. Immediately after purchasing it the product had a gas leak, there was a leak in transportation i was told and it was fixed by LG, then again after 1 year in April 09 it developed the same problem and i had to pay Rs 957 to get it fixed, now in July after 3 months it developed another problem and i was told it will cost me Rs 700 to get it fixed, after this also i am told that another sensor is weak and it will fail in some time. And the customer support executive comes up with a plan of Rs 2647 as guarantee for 4 years.

I feel flabbergasted with LG's attitude and their support, selling defective pieces and then continously suck the customer for support seems to be a brand new BUSINESS STRATEGY innovated by LG.

Why should i pay for their defective item, it should be responsibility of LG to ensure quality when seeling products world wide.I feel totally disspointed and dissatisfied.

On top of all this i get calls from them seeking feedback, what is the point in taking feedback when you are not serious about it ? Why do e mere eyewash for completing formalities ?

I would like to pass on this message for others to be careful and forewarned about LG.

STAY AWAY FROM LG FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.
I fully agree. LG is one of the worst product and the service is the worst where in you will not find more worse than this.
i bought LG Top load washing machine in the year 2005. that time i was in bangalore . there after i shifted to chennai in the year 2007 the water in the chennai is too salty may be because of that my washing machine started giving me problem. i was in adyar area that time during 2007 there service person gave immediate service took the machine did acid wash gave back the machine in 4days of time my machine started working normally. now we are in annanagar there the water is no so salty but still machine spinning is not working door inthe top lost its magnetic power and from past one week i am calling customer care for the service no one turned back . really we so depressed water in the washing machine cannot be taken out that is smilling like a dead rat. so please any one sujjest me what we can do with this product now .
I recently bought a LG 42 inch plasma TV from Tesco. Just after the warranty period ended there appeared a washer inside the display screen hanging from top and obstructing the picture.
Contacted LG customer centre who said that I need to pay for repair.
It is true that LG are selling defective pieces and then continuously suck the customer for support which seems to be a brand new BUSINESS STRATEGY innovated by LG.
In my experience LG goods are not at all quality ones.
So for your hard earned money's sake please don’t buy any LG products. The make products work for only one year to cover the warranty period and then it becomes a hell, causing customers money and time.
Please Don’t Buy LG Products if you care for your Money
LG is products are really not good. Beyond this response to the complaints are worst, they do not turn up. I will no recomend to buy any LG product.

I have a problem with my LG color Television. I called to customer care and register complaint.but no response. After 36 days (Includes Three complaint and eight reminders) one service man came and taken Power control Board to service center and he back after Elevn days but the problem was not rectified. I dont know what type of service they are giving to customers. In metro like chennai itself they are doing this much great service means think about rural. LG having customer care only for just cheat the customer by saying that we are having customer care to give service. But 100% useless. I am suggesting LG Customers if you have any problem with LG product dont call LG Customer Care Instead of spending money to call them you can do BETTER service outside.

i bought a split 1.5 ton A/c during sep 2009 in CROMA mount road chennai. and I want to avail the free service offered by them. I called the service people once and again after a week for which they have allotted This is somasundaram from Chennai ST.Thomas.. Still there is no action on my registration. Further i went to croma thrice to tell them they yes will come but nobody came till today. . . May I request u to send the concerned people in croma to do the 1st 3 free service

LG India (Chennai) — No Receipt given for A/C Service charges

LG India Chennai was requested for servicing Two split type airconditioners @ Rs.440 inclusive of tax for each A/C.in my residence.
04TH Mar 2010,Two mechanics with LG ID Card and uniform came to my house to service the A/C.
I had to provide ladder,soap and water for servicing.
Upon completion of the job the mechanic collected Rs.880 and NO receipt was given.
A complaint to LG toll free no[protected] was given.and customer non satisfactory SMS message sent to LG 5757554.

NO Reply from LG so far.As a consumer am I eligible for receipt for the money I paid and the proof that they did a service?

Yes LG Services in Chennai is verv very very worst in the World. All the customer care Managers of Noida, UP and Branch Managers of Chennai are very worst. They are in the LG services to demolish the name of the LG company.

The products of LG are very worst. I strongly request the customers / buyers not to buy any products from the LG .

1 year before i purchase LG front loading machine but now its not cleaning wall the cloths
I give compliant that is no - [protected] give it no 29-3-10. It not coming any Eng inner. when complete this pro blame. My phone no is [protected] before that i already compalne 2-3 time but no engineer is coming your service is to bad i m not satisfy my uncle take IFB MACHINE THEY give every month service to them please send an engineer as soon as possible.
LG products are sub standard and does not have any after sales service support.

I am having a 1.5 T Room A C and is suffering for the last 3 years. Unit stopped working the next day it was installed then its remote stopped working. If you raise a complaint it will take at least a month for the call to be attended.
Worst experience was yet to come.One of their service team named G.S.Engineering at Mogappair run by one Mr.Ganapathi said "NO TAMIL NO SERVICE" - discriminating that I do not speak tamil and hence he will not give any service. I had raised this discrimination even with LG's Regional Manager at Chennai, but no one responded.
Even now I have raised a complaint for service and gas filling and waiting for the last one month for it to be attended. The service centre office is just 1.5 KMS from where I stay !!!
I brought LG Ac 1.5 tonne last year April 14 2009, I have a issue with my issue as of now, The PCB board in the AC is not working so one of the technician came to our home after 3 days after making repeated calls and then took those parts to the service centere and said it would be fixed within 48 hours. After 48 hours we did made callback no response yet, The Customer Service agent who are poor guys kept on apologizing to us. They do have access only to apologize. However after making few calls one of the kind rep conferenced the call with one of the tech. He did said the issue would take one week more . And moreover iam not sure whether it would be fixed in 1 week more time since VIVEKS has brand name in giving False Commitment. I plead the VIVEKS management to look in to this issue and get it fixed for us.
Within 8 months from the date of purchase my LG 1.5 ton Split AC was down.

I called the call center, i was told i will get a call from service engineer within 24 hrs and my complaint will be resolved
within 24 hrs from there (which means 48 hrs from the time i made complaint).

No call, no engineer for the next 2 days. I again called the call center for details, but they dont have any information to provide me. I again reiterated the problem and ask them to make it fast.

Nothing for the next 2 days. Again i called the call center, they gave the number of local Service center (A third party service contractor) and ask me to contact the local service center.

When i contacted them they send me a service engineer the next day and it seems he dont know much about the AC. He did some thing and the AC started working.

The very same evening electric spark started to come out of my AC.

I again made a complaint and after 5 days ( with daily chase up) a service engineer attended the complaint and said everything is fine.

But, after 3 days burning smell stated to come out of my AC. I again made a complaint, but no response for the next 2 days.

Still the problem is continuing.

The service engineer told me that LG is not paying the 3rd party service center properly, that’s why the service is not up to the mark.

But the ultimate looser is the customers.

PLEASE DONT BUY LG AC. THE SERVICE IS WORST IN THE WORLD.

Viveks, Tambaram — False promises

On last Friday [ 2-apr-2010] we booked Voltas-Goldi, a split Ac from Viveks, Tamabaram with the promise that they will deliver positively by Sunday [4-apr-2010]. The details are as follow:

But till now[Monday 5pm] there is no response form them. We called several times to them just to hear many different cooked stories like:
1. Sir, we wing.ere expecting the load by Saturday night, it got delayed. But do not worry, it will get delivered by Monday Morn
Again on Monday morning we enquired and got to know following 'on the fly' excuses
2. Sir, its already dispatched, it will be coming with in 1 hr
3. Yes sir, there is some problem in vehicle, we will be coming by 4pm .

When we insisted and started in tough tone, THEN ONLY the true picture came:
It seems the particular brand[Goldi] itself was out of stock from all the places and from the factory itself there was no supply.
It also indicates that Viveks, Tamabaram was knowing this fact, then also they booked the order.

This is very shame on them as we needed it urgently and in fact we had already mentioned several time to them. Just to grab the order, they have given us so much false promises and in turn given mental tension.
I feel, its NOT worth shopping there or believing in their words. I am disappointed.

There is one person 'Rajesh' who handled this sale.
DEAR I BOUGHT MY LG AC BEFORE 18 MONTHS I CALL YOUR CHENNAI SERVICE CENTRE ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON BY 3.30 PM AND CALLED FOR A SERVICE. THEY GAVE ME A REF NUMBER C[protected], AND INFORMED ME SOMEBODY WILL CALL ME IN 2 HRS AND THE WORK WIL BE DONE IN 24 HRS. I AM SORRY TO SAY I LOST HOPE IN LG SERVICE BECAUSE TODAY SUNDAY 11 AM TILL NO THERE WAS NO CALL FROM YOUR SERVICE CENTRE.

I HAD A GOOD RESPECT IN YOU SERVICE AND WAS HAPPY TO RECOMED PEOPLE TO BUY LG PRODUCTS, WHICH I WILL STOP FROM THIS MINUTE I UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE GROWN SO YOU ARE UNABLE TO KEEP UP OR NOT NECESSERY TO MANITAIING THE WORDS.
