[Resolved]  Lifecell International — Poor service and inconsistent fee packages

Dear all,

This is bring to your notice that Lifecell is one of the worst companies in terms of service and commitments.At the time of closing the deal they show a very rosy picture to clients but after sales service is very very poor and there is nobody to listen to clients.

I got my baby's stem cells preserved with them in July 2010, but till date i have not recieved any documents or reports Even after repeated calls to chennai, i am still unanswered, now i doubt whether by baby's cells were even preserved or not, it is also known now that they have reduced the prices of the same package from 1,20,000 to just 80,000 now.
This is sheer nonsense that in 8 months time the price of the product can vary like this.Also, i have come to know that they are providing discounts and negotiating on price with clients.

So i advice all of you who are looking to save their baby's cell to be very care ful as this preservation is priceless and negligence like this can not be tolerated.

Dear All,

I would suggest to take all precautionary measures before you select the stem cell preservation company. Below is the self explainatory letter which I have written to AABB & they said the case will be investigated. So far I have not received any reply. I have written to Life cell international also & have not received any feed back.
I did stem cell banking for my son with life cell international which is accredited by AABB. After 4 months I have received the first e mail from life cell international saying that the stem cord is contaminated hence they will discard the cord. Letter signed by laboratory director was attached to this mail. When I enquired for the reason of rejection, I was informed that the reason for rejection is not contamination but the sample is no growth sample & accordingly revised letter without any back up documents was sent to me. This shows that the second letter was manipulated to avoid the blame on life cell international India. Please help me to go to the root cause.

Before giving your reviews regarding an established company like Lifecell, you should note some important points. why didnt you mention your contact number or CRM Number? whether you have logged in Facebook. where Lifecell International Profile is there.
giving these types of reviews in these public sites where anybody can write like competitors, other companies persons an anybody is very simple and one step procedure.
Give your contact number or CRM No, so that anybody who has doubt can talk to you.

Lifecell is India's No 1 and the biggest Stem Cell Bank. having more than 35000 clients. the pricing plans changes with the tehnology and services. now this is the only company in the world who is doing Cord Blood banking, Cord Tissue Banking, Menstrual Stem cell banking and Bone marrow aspiarte concentrate therapy. i think its the best choice for every expected parents. Ask and consult your doctors before choosing Stem cell bank. they will definately refer the most experienced stem cell bank with more than 14 retrieval cases in INDIA alone.

Mr. Prakash Raj or whosoever you're, it looks to me that Shilpa Dalmia is not from the Competitors but You definitely are from LifeCell. Now, if she has complained here and if that is true, it appears this whole system is a sham. My assumption may or may not be wrong, but why is there such a poor service and why no one from LifeCell has come forward to post a remedial comment here to talk about a solution. This is a huge sum of money that they are charging for their service and if they are really serious, the service must be prompt.
Also, why should she mention her contact number to clear doubts of people??
Hi I am Jayati Halder expecting my first child. Now, I came to know to know about Lifecell international through an ad in facebook . I registered myself online, and very promptly got a call from one of the agents eager to give a presentation. Anyways, since I was busy for that month, I had asked the person to give me a presentation after that month. So I got a call from that person a month later asking for the date, place, and time for the presentation. Since the only day I and my husband are both free is a Sunday, so I asked him to come on the next Sunday at noon, which he agreed to. So, next Sunday we kept ourselves free, (oh, by the way, I did not get any call from this person the entire week, confirming the meeting) but no one turned up!!!... I was a little astound. I gave lifecell a call, and an agent apologized saying that the call wasn’t confirmed, so no one one turned up.( weird, no one even cared to call up!!). ok so I told this agent to reschedule the meeting to next Saturday, and she said that she would call me on Friday to confirm the meeting and also ask me of the suitable time. Ok. So the Friday came and passed, no call!!! Weird, isn’t it? So I call up Lifecell again to complain of the fact, and the receiving agent again apologises and asks me to give them a last chance and tells me that someone would definitely call me the next day in the morning to schedule a meeting. Can you believe next day no one called me the whole day!!! When in the morning ‘a very angry me’ (obviously) called up Lifecell, an agent apologized again and told me that she would look into the matter and call me in half an hour. She dint call…!!!1
The kind o[censored]nprofessionalism baffled me. I had never seen such carelessness, that too for a private company, towards a potential client……. How weird is that!!! Thank God I dint pay them ( obviously).

This is Saurabh. I came to know about life cell through a hard
copy advertisement. As it is very emerging technology I went to
their site and messaged. I received a call in next 15 min. Then one of their
representative arranged a telephonic presentation for the next day.


I have spoken to them today (31/10/2014) and it is true that they
are not consistent with pricing.


They have told me that
today and tomorrow are last day of Diwali offer and we will
take 55k (life time charges to preserve)+8k (sample collection charges) later
price can be different. Then I asked if there is an
offer it should be displayed on your web site but she was not able to answer.
It is really funny is it a Diwali sale on flipkart or what even flipkart display it on
their web site. At one point I felt whether she was trying to sale some m-way product
or what!!!


Moreover I am not at
all convince with the way they are going to collect the sample. After reading
all the above reviews I feel I will not be going with life cell. I believe the
way technology is getting advanced there will be other alternatives available
in future.

I went with lifecell since its well marketed an. But do Not Trust this company anymore. They marketed the benefits well. But when it came to deliver on the promise, there is no answer. Its been 15 days since my son was born and I have received no update on whether the sample was received at their facility.

What I have been hearing is that they are having some technical difficulty and someone will contact me in 2 days time. Its been going on for over 7 days. Whenever you call them their systems are always down.

If they cannot resolve or workaround a "technical" issue, how do I even trust them with my son's stemcell? He does not get a second chance.

Sharing Our Experience with LifeCell

We are the
parents of Anya R. Krishnan whose stem cells are stored with Lifecell. Our
journey in to finding a suitable stem cell bank for our child was long but a
good one. When we heard about the concept of saving stem cells in the umbilical
cord for curing serious disorders, we were interested to know more about it.
All you need to know about stem cells are available in the internet so it was
easy to understand the benefits and some of the drawbacks o[censored]sing stem cells
to cure diseases.

A friend
suggested me to check out LifeCell as she is a member and also it has got good
exposure, celebrity endorsement etc. By the time, we booked for a meeting with
the lifecell people, we were also approached by a Cordlife executive. This is
another company offering the same service here in Kochi. When got an
appointment fixed with lifecell but they didn’t come on the same day, stating
some unavoidable reason but the cordlife people came on time as per the
scheduled time. As we were researching about stem cell service, we had few
questions but the cordlife executive didn’t respond well (there are few neurtal
websites giving honest review about the use of stem cells). Then we tried with lifecell
and the executive explained well and assured safe collection of our baby stem
cells.

After
registering with Lifecell, we paid some initial amount and confirmed. I was
little worried but the paramedic was very good at her work. She reached within
1 hour after we called and was there with me the whole time till the delivery
was over. We didn’t have any problem with the paramedic’s service and extremely
happy.

My advice
to Lifecell: Customer response should be improved on a timely basis then it
will be great.

The customer service of LifeCell is very rude and unprofessional. We have to make our payment to LifeCell in around 3 weeks, but the Lifecell people keep calling us 4 times a day and I have to assure them that I would be paying them on time. The customer service just keep pestering us without acknowledging our right for time and are very unprofessional.

i would not recommend lifecell either. i dont know if their competitors are any better. one of the cash payments i made was never registered in their accounts. this is from 4 years back and over such a long time i have shifted 3 houses and can't find the receipt anymore. so i have no proof that i did pay for that year and their guy who picked up the payment seems to have messed up. also, the only reason i needed to make a cash payment is because by the time their guy picked up the payment from my office the cheque i had written had expired and so i handed over cash. it's just 2000 rupees. it's not that big an amount but on principle i don't like that they are so careless and want to put my foot down.

communication with them has been terribly painful. each time a new customer care person calls me and we're back to square one. finally i got the name of one customer care person and refused to speak to any new person who called me and insisted that the guy i had the name for and who knew my case called me back. finally after months of speaking to him i was asked to write an email which was responded to in a mechanical, computer generated way, i replied to that email and then my email was forwarded (with me in cc) to someone asking them to respond. it's been a couple of months and there's be no response.

Can't trust lifecell at all.My wife delivery is in July.Today I received email and SMS from lifecell stating sample has been collected. I called them to inquire on the same; they told me delivery was done on May 29th. Wow; they assigned someone else sample against our records. How will they manage the sample for 21yrs or lifetime; when they can not even assign right sample against right contact. I can't trust them for anything now.pathetic.

This is certainly a point of concern . You should file a case to Consumer Forum and keep all the communication recorded- calls, email, sms etc.. this is ridiculous

The Lifecell team explained the benefits and helped in the registration and the collection process smoothly.

My son is going to be 1 in couple of days and I have given a cheque for lifetime preservation (98 years). The cheque will be realised in the first week of February. However, the comments in this page is very worrying comments... Not sure how to proceed. I feel it is such an important thing for my baby and I am now not sure if they can keep whatever they have promised.
