[Resolved] Lifecell International Pvt. Ltd. — Overcharging consumers | |
I had availed of the services of Lifecell International Pvt. Ltd. on 23 feb 07 for the harvesting & storage of the stem cells of my baby against an initial payment of rs.40000 and subsequent annual storage charges of rs.3500 to be paid every year. I had paid the annual charges for the last two years by DD but the company is still writing to me claiming non payment of the previous year. This is a trivial matter compared to the real isssue. The company has now reduced the annual storage charges to rs 2000 but with a caveat. It is applicable for new customers only. We, the older customers are being forced to pay at the old rates to use the same service that is being now being offered at almost half the rates and being justified under the cover of a contract that had been signed by us at that time.In place of rewarding us for being old and loyal customers of the concern they seem to be penalising us for the same. It is notable that the storage costs of the company have also now significantly reduced due to an increase in the number of its customers and shall further decrease in future as the customer base increases further, because the establishments costs remain the same.
