[Resolved]  Lion Dates — live insect inside lion dates

I bought 200g lion dates with batch no. k105 on 24th Aug 2009 from a retailer in order to provide this as a health supplement for my pregnant wife. I was shocked and furious to find one live insect running inside the container when I opened it and at the same time, my wife was chewing one of the dates from the container and was about to swallow it. How can an ISO 9001:2000 company like LION DATES IMPEX PVT LTD., can do this. My wife has developed an aversion towards dates because of this. I am planning to move this matter to Consumer court complaining about the insect and complaining about the accredited certification bodies who has provided ISO 9001:2000 status. please advice.

Same case with me too. I purchased Lion dates (Seedless) on 24th Aug 2009. I saw atleast 10 worms coming out it. This is also July 2009 packed. Looks like some thing is miserably wrong with Quality control at Lion dates. We should try to bring this issue to consumer court and Food Safety authorities.

Lion Dates — Insects in sealed packets

Regarding Lion Dates..

I think the worst dates among others. Everytime when I open the sealed packet of Lion Dates its full of small insects, inspite of checking the expiry date. Nearly 6 times I have wasted my money by buying Lion Dates. Even my friend's complaint is same reg Lion Dates.
Even i found insects in sealed pack. Wasted my money twice. I am going to complain their service center.
Does any one has already contacted them?
I don't know whar food and sanitation department jokers are doing @ this point of time. I have bitter experience with this having seen full of live insects in the opened box which is dated Dec'2009. I had an arguement with the shop keeper. I had thrown the box of infront of their shop. There should be a systematic way to counter food sanitation problem. Lion dates is a pichi gudda brand. Never use it. Lauda ke Bal shop keeper and pichakuntla brand lion dates!!!.
Even i agree the same.. you know i already swallowed some f the dates too.. Earlier i am a big fan for those lion products, and i started hating them no. Please take necessary actions against them
