[Resolved]  Louis Quartz — Duplicate Product...

Dear Sir,

I got Louis watch through my citi bank credit card offer from AVA Merchandising Company of New Delhi on April 7, 2008. They have charged 490 Rs against this. But when i opened it, there is not any single document enclosed with it, there is no description of this watch like its gurantee period, its service centers also there is not any serial no on the watch. And now I come to know that the battery is also duplicate one.
Please give me suggestion, what i have do right now.

Thanks & Regards.

hello sameer!
i would like to inform you that you are not the only one who has been fooled.i also ordered for "LOUIS " watch but all i received was a small box with AVA tapes all over it.there was not even a single document leave alone guarentee or warranty papers.

and NO SERIAL NUMBER.
i THINK it's NOT EVEN FROM LOUIS
MAYBE it's PIRATED
i have also got the same watch from a jetlite auction. i thought that i was lucky to win a lucky drow during the flight, jetlite s2612 vizag to mumbai via hyderabad. ofcourse i was a little confused about the high 'tax and handling charges', but i was assured by the 'airline staff' that the product is genuine. however, i also find that the watch has no seriel number, no place of manufacture, no handbook and no guarentee papers.

what surprises me is that an airline like 'JET/JETLITE' is promoting such products onboard their flights, that is the airline has agreed to the seller using its name as proof of credibility /genuiness of the product.

in my case the modus operandi is simple. i was given a scratch card by the cabin crew as part of an auction. when i scratched it i found i was a winner. the first time ever i have won this way. the jetlite counter inside the airport is selling this product. however, the catch, the watch is free but handling and taxes of rs 499. the cost of the watch i guess (and may be 200% profit) for the seller and airline.
I also got a Louis Quartz watch through a jetlite auction today. Though I was thrilled initially and bought at the AVA counter, I became suspicious when I saw there were many other passengers who were also 'winners'. I argued with the counter representive for return of my money but could not get it as I had paid through a credit card. As other complainants have mentioned, I did not find any warranty card, serial number etc. I am very surprised that an airline of repute like Jet allows such schemes to be run onboard.
I have also 'won' the same watch on my Kolkata-Guwahati Jetlite flight on 16th April through the scratch N win method. I have not seen any document in the box. I was warned by my co-passenger colleague before making the cash payment at AVA counter but I thought Rs. 490/- is not a bad bargain for the watch. I must admit I was thrilled being a winner till I saw the actual watch. I am spreading the news to my frequent flyer friends to be informed.
What can I do now? I have to wera the watch till the colour fades out.
Recently i traveld from kolkata to banglore on 12 april . though i also got the price under winer screatch sceam provided by jetlite for "LOUIS QUARTZ " . As it seems to good to spend 499Rs to get the brand new QUARTZ watch, but other end you can easilly make it out it's not quailty product & also might be duplicate & payaratd, infact i belive JETLITE kind of major airline company should not promote this kind of offer. if they are offering such kind of offer in future it will be a quetion of prestage?
I have got offer from Standard Chartered Bank who are giving model no.x 11 for free. Only ( ! ) Rs.490 have to be paid towards taxes and handling charges. I thought I should verify before going for this, hence visited your site.
I believe, all these " Criminal Corporates " must be playing dirty games like this.
i have travelled from Delhi to banglore in Jetlite flight.
i have received the scratch card and stunned that i am the winner. after a while i acame to know that all the passengers are winners. at arrivals i have purchased the watch for 490/- keep in mind that i could gift it to my brother.
my brother was surprised on receiving the watch as gift. he has doughted the genuiness of the watch and searched the net for its genuinety. we came to know that it is the genuine product from louis quartz itself. it is talleying with the model number also. we came to know that the cost is so cheap since jetlite has purchased in bulk and cutshort the excise duties. also the louis quartz company encouraged such activities as it will make the company to penetrate to masses.
thanks to jetlite
Hi,

I fully agree with all you people comments about louis quartz. I have also become recent victim of this illegal activity by jet lite. I was traveling on 12th April 2008 from delhi to banglore flight of Jet Light, in which i got this scratch card option. When i scratched i found myself as winner. After i reached bang lore i asked jet light official about this watch, they asked me to pay Rs 490 cash to get this watch, when i asked for warranty card they said the warranty is on bill. There was no warranty card or any broacher inside the box giving information about the watch. Serial number of watch was not mentioned on the bill.
while returning back i took same flight of jet lite from bang lore to Delhi. There again i got the scratch card option, when i scratched the card, i was declared winner again. This made me suspicious about the watch. Well i don't think this watch is worth 4000 Rs, this watch might cost 1000 or less than thousand. I am not sure about the battery of this watch too. I think jet light is making passengers fool by giving this offer. My overall experience with jet lite is not that good, plane is totally uncomfortable. Air hostesses doesn't know how to speak in proper English. Food served in jet is of worst quality too. People who read my comments please be aware of jet lite flight, don't get excited i[censored] get the same scratch card.

Subject : DTDC - courier that DOES NOT home deliver.

Sir, with due respect, My name is Abinash, resident of Maharashtra Housing Board, Sastrinagar, Pune. On date 16 April 2008, I have sent a courier through DTDC (Dhole Patil Road Branch) and the courier supposed to reach Kolkata within 3 days as they told me i.e. on date 18 April 2008. But till the date the person in Kolkata has not received the courier as desired. Rather the personnel of DTDC (Kolkata) called to my client to receive the courier form their office. But as per the rule the courier service is door to door. My client is unable to collect the courier from the DTDC office.

So, I request you to please take an appropriate action against such service provider companies. Hope to get quick and positive response from your end.

Thanking You.

Hello, I travelled Jetlight from Banglore to delhi on the 18th April, During my travell I was offered a lucky draw which was going on during the flight . This was a wrist watch of Louis Quartz . This doesent have any address of manufacturer or serial no. or company name are no gauranty card aswell . I paid Rs.490 for this wrist watch as the total tax of the watch value which was 2900/- . This watch is not worh 490/-also .

Please suggest / help me to recover the money from Jetlight as its a case of fraud on behalf of such a big company name ( Jetlight ) .
Today I too got a mail about the discounts and free products which are for Standard chartered cerdit card customers. I wanted to go for Louis watch. But I thought of initially checking if that product really exists. after seeing all your comments/feedback, I decided not to go with these crappy offers. Also, I am writing to SCB not to promote these useless offers.,

Thanks!

hello people,
i was about to become a victim for one of this STUPID OFFERS which was given by standard chartered bank for the LOUIS QUARTZ, i think rather than blaming the watch company we should discourage these companies such as the (bank and airline company's) which promote their product and stands as a route cause for this.IT IS A CHEAP ACT ON THE BANK"S PART TO EARN MONEY LIKE THIS.they can rather starve on roads.
To all those who have received Louis Watch as a gift from Jetlite : BEWARE
My brother also received a scratch card during his Delhi-Guwahati Jetlit flight on 25.04.2008 which after scratching pronounced him winner of a Louis quartz watch (Model No. K11). He gave this coupon to me for redemption, but i thought of going through the net to find the authenticity of this offer. Thanks to my luck, I found the comments of many people who have already been fooled by the product. It is really heartbreaking to see a company of repute of Jetlite making such promotions which are derogatory to itself. It might loose people's interest totally which may result in reduction of its credibility as well as business. I would like if the consumer forums take note of the facts and take appropriate action on the issue so that people are not fooled. If at all the company wants to give its customers a free gift, it should be free totally without any payments, and then people will not complaint about it.

I must say that i wanted to go for Louis watch. but after seeing all your comments/feedback, I decided not to go with these crappy offers.

Thanks!

Really it is exteremly shocking for JETLITE to befool its consumer by selling duplicate product Louis Quarz at such a high cost of Rs 490/-.
Kindly open a counter to return & Refund
Thanks to all people who comments here and guides the persans like, me who got this offer.
I (Joraber Singh) flew by JetLite S2 253 from DEL to BLR on 26th Apr 08.
I was also given a scratch coupon (for Louis Quartz Model: K11, product code 890) and when I scratched it, I was delighted to know that I was the winner. Then I asked to immediate side passenger, he said he is also winner. I further asked to few more passengers and most of them I asked were winner. I then given doubt to this deal/product that how come a company afford to offer these many numbers with this much discounted rate. So I thought its better check it on website and then to go for order. Now when I was checking all this previous posts, my doubt is no more doubt, its confirmed that this is something like fake product… I am just escaped to become another victim of this fraud game. Thanks all who posted earlier
This blady people of Credit Cards and promotional companies like AVA are fooling people and making people chutiya. I can get this watches for Rs150 in my city. So local watch and claiming as japan. We are fools first of all to come in this kind of silly things.
Even I got the offer from AVA through SCB credit card for a free "Louis Quartz" saying that they are extending a free gift to all SCB Credit Card holders but will have to pay Re 490/- towards taxes/door delivery.
After getting the product I was shocked seeing the product. It does not even appear to be of Rs 200/- I think AVA are fooling people in the name of these banks. The watch does not have any serial no.
Beware guys AVA fools.
Even I got the same offer from SCB. I thought I check the watch whether it is genuine or not. Thank god I got to read all these comments. Thanks people for your valuable comments.
