[Resolved]  Mahindra Logan — customer service is an absolute Zero here.

This is my first service, and already, it has been very very dissapointing. The bare minimum of washing the car and cleaning the inetriors were NOT EVEN TRIED, forget done.!! I am sure a company trying to scale up on J.D. Power has enough water in stock to wash the cars!!!.. but havn't put in any effort for customer satisfaction.

As expected, I got a call from the service desk post service, asking me if I was satisfied, ..any my answer is NO, then and now.

What's worse, someone posing as the "Relationship Manager" called back as promised to pick up the car the next morning(today), to hide his team's inefficiency and carelessness and as expected.. no body came or called to pick it up.. I am not surprised, as I am sure its the management's misleading tactics and cold attitude to customers. Sorry, but my claim to JDPower, is a total 0 for you this time.

Adding to that, we tried getting in touch with the tele customer support and had spoken to Sanjeev (if i recollect the name correctly), Payal and Palak on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday but to no avail, I was assured that one of your technical staff will get in touch but it has been two days from the call date I was assured,

This is definitely not the customer satisfaction quality standards we expected as we were assured the best service while purchasing this car.

Also, will like to add that electric circuit issue we had faced within a month's period of purchase which was highlighted (have attached the copy fyr)

Dear Madam,
This is to confirm my discussion with Mr Gidonia to whom I have pointed out the following problems arising in my use of the vehicle for only 14 days (2 weeks since purchase):

1. Accelarator wire is getting stuck when changing gears and has happened about 6 times in the last 4 days. The engine RPM immediately shoots up to 4000+ which is harmful for the engine. I would need a feed back on the findings of this defect as to why it is happeneing and how it has been corrected.

2. Both the power operated rear windows are not functioning. However since they are locked in closed position it is not a matter of emergency.
A point of worry however is that why is it re-occurring so frequently and I suspect some design fault. Earlier it had repeatedly occurred in the front windows. Here too I request that if it is the fuse blowing then why cant the rating of the fuse be enhanced. Under no circumstances should this repeat.

3. Front fog-light on the left side is to be corrected without upsetting any other sub-assembly. This means that after cerrecting this please check all other installations/fittings such as indicators, tail lights, headlights, AC etc so that I do not find some thing else out of order after the fog light has been repaired.

4. The glass of the front left side rear-view mirror assembly has fallen down and broken when I tried to close it and my hand slipped. It appears to have been fixed by sticking only and no mechanical means. The mirror only has to be replaced. The mechanism is working all right.

You are to have the vehicle collected from my office around 9:30 am tomorrow morning and return by the evening. Address:

I am surprised to learn of this unreasonable delay.

You are aware that I am driving without the head lights which requires me to return from office before sunset and I cannot afford to do this for a week. My work is suffering. My discussions on the phone with your several representatives has not got me any definite information on the action being taken by you.

This is to request you to arrange the part on top most priority and get it air couriered at the earliest or take from one of the Delhi dealers so that I may have this fitted by 26th March 09 latest. The additional charges on account of courier may be taken from me, but kindly understand my urgency and act swiftly.

Please ensure that your representative responds to me on phone in this regard and I expect your cooperation to cover up this undue delay

I have bought Mahindra Logan on 11-dec-08 and the very next day I took my vehicle back for replacement. The clutches were not functioning properly and my mechanic told me either this is an accidental or demo car. On request of Sterling Motors personnel to drive this vehicle for[protected] kms, and then see whether that problem persist or not. Every week there after I used to take this bloody vehicle to the service center with one problem or the other. Now icing on the cake 3, 500 km run and the engine oil is leaking. Will go to every extent either for replacement or refund of my hard earn money.
People looking to buy any of the Mahindra product, kindly look for options. Will not recommend. People who have ample of money to bur then please go ahead and buy Mahindra product.

I just wanted to let you know on a couple of dissapointing expériences I have with my Car. I bought a Logan after being a Maruti Suzuki user for over 10 years. I took it because it had the name Mahindra on it.


While the cars fantastic the service levels are extremely poor. I get my car serviced at Sterling Motors Co. GP 11, HSIDC Sector 18, Gurgaon. They have practically spoilt the tyres of my car. Since I complained there have been multiple inspections of my car / numerous phone calls and the works, but nothing to resolve the issue.

My request to them for contact numbers/ e mail ID of superiors( especially Mr Goenka who used to regularly appear in the media spearheading the "With you Hamesha " campaign) did not meet with a response. I am e mailing this with the hope that finally someone informs him of how far removed is his expensive Campaign from the ground realities that I got to experience. I don't want to keep sending the vehicle back so that it can be checked, rechecked and rechecked.


I am just one of the many thousands of customers that they have, who has put in his hard earned money to buy your product. Even if they don't respond I don't think there is anything that I can do other then bear it, but I promise you that this is the last time I will ever buy a Mahindra product in my life.

I need access to Mr Anand Mahindra to update him how poor the service levels are at the ground. However every one in the company that I interact with has blocked me and refused to give me an email that will allow me to make contact.

A Very Dissapointed Customer
The last experience of K.S.MOTORS, JAIPUR was highly disappointing for me.I took my vehicle for service as well for complaint in clutches. The clutches were not functioning properly and I went to Jaipur especificaaly to get resolved the problem and at the time of vehicle handed over to your service advisor he was clearly stated the problem of clutch as well the problem in all doors of noise during the time of riding from day first whan vehicle was purchased or we can say the noise problem was always reported in all the services. At the time of delivery on request of K.S.MOTORS, JAIPUR'S personnel as he reported and confirmed that all problems in the vehicle was attended and now there is no complaint in the vehicle I signed the paper he had given to me but as I started from Jaipur to Bharatpur than just after 10 to 15 KMS the problem of gear was found in the vehicle as the gears were not getting operated or we can say there was acute problem in engaging and disengaging in the gears as well the noise of doors were as it is no corrective actions were taken on them as well additional problem during service were introduced during service. I was highly harrassed from Jaipur to Bharatpur it took 9 Hrs instead of 3HRS. and felt high level humilation and harrassement and the same time I contacted to K.S.MOTORS but no response was received from your service end. It was my 4th visit to this workshop - Shiva Car in Sahibabad. As usual i gave my car for service early morning at 9-30 or 10am on 29th Aug, saturday and after the briefing to service advisor - Mr. Hari Kishore i was promised delivery of the serviced car at 5 pm sharp in the evening. To my surprise when i went to fetch my car i saw the wind screen(front) cracked near the wipers and it was a pretty big crack which anybody could notice easily. I immediately informed the above mentioned advisor and rest of the people of the workshop around him. They all ran to the car and accepted that the crack has developed and there was no mention of the same crack in the job sheet handed over to me in the morning. I obviously asked them to replace the cracked one with a new windscreen without charging me anything as the crack definitely had developed during the day when the car was with the workshop. In reply to this they said that some guy called Sanjay who will approve this change of windscreen will come on next day (sunday) at 9 am sharp and then we can proceed. I left the car at the workshop and went home. Next day from 9 am till 11 am there were 3 calls from the workshop from different people asking me to take a claim from my insurance company to get this done because supposedly there was already a small crack or spot on the windscreen and our service advisor couldnt notice the same while preparing the job sheet. I got furious at this and straightaway denied them the option of me approaching the insurance for a claim. Now uptill 2 pm on Sunday nobody called up from the workshop to apprise me of the developments about the job at hand. And when i called them back they said that the car has not been even touched, forget replacement of the windscreen since the morning as the so called approver sanjay hasnt turned up to the workshop today. I gave them options of taking the approval over the phone or email as it is their internal matter and the customer shouldnt get affected by some one not turning up on a particular day. Unfortunately as it had to be, my car was left lying without anything being done for full day sunday because of the above stated reason. Next morning I went to meet sanjay BACAUSE HE HAD COME TO OFFICE TODAY AND THE WHOLE DAY BEFORE HAD BEEN WASTED. Then sanjay spills the beans and asks for a 50-50 sharing on the cost which would come on replacement. I was totally shocked to get this angle now because i had expected a very pleasing and gentleman-ish behaviour because only due of him the car had entered a 3rd day stay at the workshop. Instead what i got was a very rude and boorish behaviour from him. He finally APPROVED the case when he saw that none of his weapons are holding fire against me. When the total fault and negligence was from the workshop's side this was the experience for me. People trying to prove without any proof that the windscreen had cracks before hand only and the stuff.

Than in a fit of rage sanjay threw the papers(job sheet etc) on the face of a service advisor asking him to get a debit note issued and get the windscreen changed and making me feel as if he has given me an undue favor.
Again when i went to fetch my car on monday, 5 pm sharp after taking an off from my office just for this, i saw bubbles (around 10-12) on the passenger side of the new windscreen fitted. I was astonished as the area which these people should have put maximum focus on had been left off YET AGAIN. Again another advisor named dhawal comes and tells me that i should now come on tuesday and get my car ready. Finally i have got my car yesterday(tuesday on 1st september 2009 ) after 4 days with a windscreen which is doing thankfully fine. They have now broken the AC control knob (one) and i was so irritated that i didnt even ask for the same. instead i just drove off in my car. And i have very much in mind that my primary job of servicing was over on saturday itself but the rest 3 days were taken just to make up for something which was pure negligence and insufficiency in providing the service by the workshop people. People like sanjay who are so out of their mind that they forget the basics of service industry norms and how to treat your repeat customer whose not just pride but huge emotions are also attached with car like Scorpio. Certainly if you can make him read this mail, tell him that i can even today, without revising my MBA school marketing lessons, teach him good things about the same. As a result of all what happened above of course i am putting the case in front of the consumer court for a redressal of my emotional and physical harassment which will make him come to the court and answer what he couldnt in front of me. Then maybe Mahindra and its service employees can learn what kind of harassment one undergoes in getting a job done where in not an iota of fault remains with the customer. The same guys when i asked didnt give me the details like email ids and phone nos. of GM or the people whom i at least can expect to listen to my complaint. Pl give me the same if anyone is really reading this.

staff does not have an eye for detail. Dont notice small and big faults inspite of having shown. Simply pass on the buck to the next staff. Always expect you to return with unattended complaint. Mahindra Logan — Light not change after inform

My logan mahindra's light is not right because its light is very poor on the road from the purchase date of this vehicle. But the Logan Mahindra company dealer of Alwar City (Rajasthan) M/s. J S Fourwheel Motors Pvt. Ltd., Alwar has not changed the light of my logan after complaint and inform. I have logged complaint on the logan mahindra official website before 10 to 15 days ago. but company could not give the response on this matter.

I own a Mahindra Logan, registration Number MH 01 DA 3506, which was purchased in March 2008 in the name of our partner, Ms. Khushboo Parekh.

In the six month, i.e. September 2008, we met with a serious accident near Pune due to malfunctioning of the brakes, in which the car had completely smashed and four occupants including myself had sustained fatal injuries. I had a fracture in the collar bone, a sprained neck. One of my friend, had a permanent rod fixed in his thigh.
The car was towed to global gallery at Panvel. After continues follow-ups, I got the delivery in end of January 2009. They produced a bill of about 6 lacs (almost equal to cost of a new car), of which 5 lacs was sanctioned by the insurance company. I had to shell out a lakh of rupee from my own pocket. Besides this, the other losses incurred on treatment and police expenses were aboutanother 3 lacs.
After that, I have been continuously facing some or the other mechanical problems in the car, like the compressor has been replaced twice, battery was replaced, cooling coil was replaced twice for leakages. The cabin noise is hardly bearable. For all these repairs, the car was brought to your service centre at NBS international, Sewree. We had brought to their notice that the car paint appeared like it has been sprayed over by an amateur schoolboy. This painting was done by your authorised service centre at global gallery (Panvel) when the new body shell was fitted after the initial accident had occured.

We have also purchased a 4 year extended warranty for this vehicle. However, I have always been made to pay all the major expenses towards repairs. Last time when I had sent the car for repairs in the first week of April 2011, I was given an estimation by the trained officials of about 10 to 15 thousand. The basic work was the fan belt which had broken twice before this episode, due to defective tensioner pulley. However, at the time of billing, I ended up by paying 31 thousand.

SIR, HERE I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHY DOES A ESTIMATION TEAM EXIST THERE IF THE ESTIMATION CAN SHOOT TO DOUBLE THAN WHAT HAS BEEN GIVEN !!!

Recently there had been knocking in the engine and foul firing. Unfortunately, before I could bring the car to the workshop, the belt cracked again and I had to toe the car to your workshop. The reason for the belt being broken was again the same. Today, it has been over 12 days that the car is still in your showroom. The shocking and the usual answer to my follow-ups are that the parts are not available. When I bought the vehicle in 2008, it had been just a year that it was launched. In case we were dealing about outdated cars and then if I had received such answers, it is understandable. But in this case, when the company boasts to have sold over a couple of lakh Logans, it is very unprofessional on the part of the company service centre to give such answer that the parts are not available for weeks together. It would have rather been sensible to sell limited cars, if there was a basic infra problem in terms of shortage of parts.

The reason for me to right this email is that I do not wish to continue with that problematic vehicle. I sincerely feel that I deserve a free replacement with a new Logan or an upgraded vehicle with whatever is the difference in the market value of the car. After having an association with your company for over 3 years, I consider to have a positive reply to this email within 3 working days, failing which I would be compelled to approach the consumer court as well as the media.

this is to inform you some complaints regarding the mahaindra service station @kottayam.i owned Logan.it has run just 25000kms only, meantime the front and back tyres were damaged.during the 3rd service, they changed the shock absorber being the problem with alignment.they wont check alignment during service.i am not satisfied with the services at your service station.i request you to make necessary actions otherwise i am force to move legally and published in news paper.do the needful

Mahindra Logan — Worst car and worst service experience

This is the first time I bought a Mahindra car and it was blunder. Its avaerage has come down after 2 years. It is giving starting problems. The service experience is worst ever. This car is nightmare.
