[Resolved] Mahindra Rodeo — MILLAGE AND DIGITAL METER ISSUE | |
Greetings, I purchased the Mahindra RODEO on October 30, 2009, from Surya 2 wheelers, near ESI Hospital, Hyderabad. from the begining my vehicles' Digital meter is not at working properly, some times it indicates as if there is no petrol and some time automatically it indicates as if the petrol is full, and the millage is not at all giving, I had given my vehicle to Surya 2 wheelers for 4 to 5 time but still they could not resolve the issue. Presently I am getting 26 to 28 KMPL, which is really irritating me, and when I asked the service incharge at Surya 2 wheelers, he states that the company did not provide them the manual of the Rodeo, so they are not in a position to solve the issue. mahindra rodeo is most irritating scooter.Y? because when i ride for the first time, it gave me perfect satisfaction..after time to time it starts giving problem and problem..like fuel passing problm, digital problem, often petrol leakage which cant be resolve by mechanic even.so please dont buy this scooter.its ma personal experience.it may be good for present but after 6-7 month it gives u headache...n good thing is m selling ma rodeo tomorow..n buying aviator honda..thumbs up

Here with I am writting my problems in point wise.
1. If roads in cochin (Kerala) are plain I mean no Bump Heads you purchase RODEO. Beacuse the stand designed & provided in rodeo is very low and even 1" height it is obstructing or fouling the vehicle.
2. If your are a winner of KBC and thinking, how to spend this money, then you please purchase RODEO beacuse the Rodeo is giving giving only 25-30 KMPL.
3. If your sister is a healthy person and can bring the Rodeo by pulling with hands, then you purchase RODEO, beacuse the battery provided in the RODEO is extrodinary one. and we dont know when it becomes discharging.
After 4th servecing is also my vehicle is giving low milage.

I have attended 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th servicings in the authorised cervice centres with a complaint of low milage. but the authorised servicing centre staff could not rectify to improve the milage. I have made several complaints to M/s mahindra by this site. and complaints to GM (Sales) Mr. Narasimham, Service centre Manager ph. no. [protected] &Mr. Mohan Phone No: [protected]. These two genmtleman were failed to rectify the problem of my vehicle. finally I have approached one private vehicle mechanic & he attended my vehicle he took one hour for repair the vehicle and now my rodeo is giving 45 KMPL.
Under the above message I would like to inform all the rodeo vehicle users please dont approach for free servicings at servicing centres. the mechanics nominated in the centres can wash the vehicle, can clean the spark plug and only can fill the lubricating oil, but nothing else. In the name of free servicings the company is collecting amount at the time of purchasing the vehicle but they are doing nothing

I bought Mahindra Rodeo in Oct 2010 and till date I have not faced any major issue. (1) The milage I get is around 40-45 KMPL in city ride (bangalore) with moderate traffic and around 50 in long drive which is good enough. (2) The pick up is better than its rivals like Activa, Wego, Access etc. (3) Yes, the ground clearance is a bit low specially when 2 persons are on it which causes the bottom part of the scooter to hit the hump. This can be avoided by a careful driving in road bumps!! This is area where Mahindra need to improve surely. (4) Never faced any issue with the digital meter (5) Agree with the fact that it requies chock start many ofter (especially more in winter season) but this happens with all the gearless scooters (and with some bikes)!! (6) I agree that, in free servicing, nothing much is done compared to paid servicing.
Overall I am a satisfied with Mahindra Rodeo and I would rate this scooter 8 out of 10.

Dear Sir,I am purchase mahindra rodeo 2 wheeler from agra khandari showroom after purchase i face millage problem so i am verbal told to showroom.after fiew month i receive a call from showroom for change digital meter and solve my millage problem but i am unable to go to showroom on given date because i am working out of station. than I'll go to showroom after few days than he say digital meter is out of stoke when we receive from factory than he again call me and change meter but after that I'll not receive any call and when i'' call to showroom he reply not having digital meter in stock.
so sir can you help me for this matter.

I purchased Mahimdra Rodeo from a Mahindra Showroom in Saidapet, Chennai on 18-11-09. The Mileage that the vehicle gives is not even 30 Kms. I have done multiple services to the vehicle.
There are many issues with the vehicle.
1. The Mileage is very less
2. The Vehicle stops abruptly then and there and doesnt start at all . The battery is so pathetic.You need more energy and power to bring the vehicle back home as and when it stops.
3. All the more its a mistake that we have spent 50, 000 on a vehicle like this.
4.We have changed Battery also, though our vehicle usage is minimal.
There should a proper justice given to all the customer of Mahindra Rodeo.
I want a proper service person to pick the vehicle and do a right service immediately or should they pay the money back
