[Resolved] Make My Trip — Refund of Cancelled flight fare | |||
I had booked Air tickets with Make my Trip in the month of May 2010. The Air India flight was cancelled due to their Strike. I was completely mis guided by Air India & Make my Trip about the refund process for almost 3-4 months. I was harassed by Make my Trip and Air India by telling me different & weird ways of requesting for a refund which actually were not correct. But then when I spoke to a senior person @ Make my Trip by escalating this matter, I was given correct info to request for the refund. Refund Process - E-Ticket to be endorsed by Air India and then sent to Make my Trip as a scanned document. Once verified the refund will be initiated with 7 working days from the day of receipt of the scanned doc. It might take another week for the Customers Bank to process the same and Credit the customers A/c. I was told by the Customer Service executives from Make my Trip in October 2010 that I will have to send them a soft copy of the E-Ticket which is endorsed by Air India and the above mentioned Refund process would be followed once the scanned docs are received by Make my Trip. Since October 2010 I've sent the scanned docs to Make my Trip at least 3-4 times. However Make my Trip is so incompetent that they say they have processed the refund but their Accounts Dept has put the refund on hold for no reason (Reason unknown even to the supervisors @ Make my Trip.) Despite of regular follow ups with Make my Trip since Nov 2010 I've not received a single call from Make my Trip regarding this issue neither have I received any positive response from them. Every time I speak to a Floor Supervisor at the Make my Trip Call centre, they either ignore my situation or they promise to call me back after checking the status of my refund, but I've not received a single phone call or an email on this subject. I've even warned them that if I'm forced to seek legal help and pursue them legally then a few people who've not fulfiled their responsibilities towards me as their customer would definitely be loosing their jobs. But no one seems to take me seriously on that. Also to add to it, I've spent nearly Rs.1000 INR to contact them over the phone and send them the scanned documents every time they ask for it.And not to forget the phsycological stress I've been going thru. Request you to please advise me further on this as I'm unable to continue contacting them every week since I've a very very busy work schedule. Regards, Ashish.K.Safaya.
