Line of events which may occur with you if you ever visit Mathura

If you ever visit Mathura, beware there is a big possibility that you ask address from someone and he turns out to be a guide who is ready to show you the best thing at Mathura, better than what you are about to see, at very small price. I was going to see Krishna Janam Bhoomi i.e. Kansa's Prison and asked a boy the path on the way. He said that Janam Bhoomi is not interesting any more, there is nothing to see and it will open 3 hours later. It's better to see Gokul Village where Krishna lived and spent his childhood. He can show it to us and will charge only and only 10 rupees. We went with him to the above discussed temple which was around 30 kms (I guess) far from the place we asked. (It indicates that boys are standing to lure travelers to this temple at all hot locations at Mathura). he kept telling very interesting stories about Krishan on the way. Finally we reached at that place. Everywhere tiles were there with names of the people with their family. He emphasized on buying flowers and prasad for offering. Finally he made us sit down in front of a closed gate. He said that only one unit can go inside the temple at one time. There is lectured for half an hour and then finally opened the door. We went inside where the priest asked us to sit down on our knees and then walk towards the statue. There the panditjee gave a lecture for 15 minutes with 75% emphasis on money we should give to him. He quoted 3 types of offerings indicating 651 to 2500 around. Then he asked us to discuss between ourselves and with Lord Krishna to give amount of money we would give. He tried his level best to convince for the highest package where he will also send prasad to home every year. For the amount of money we give, he will put the tile with our names and family names in temple, size corresponding to money. He stopped us to pull purse out of pockets and wanted us to give money to cashier sitting besides him. We were not allowed to give an amount less than prescribed. Finally we gave money with slip and a promise from them that the names will be put on floor of the temple by next week, this was in September I guess. Then there were many more small rooms in the same temple with different Gods and their forms. Everywhere every Pandit asked for money too much but not like beggars but equivalent to beggars and/or snatchers.

We went back to Mathura after around 7 months to see our name on tiles. The same things started with us all over again the moment we started our car towards Gokul. We thought we know everything and do not need Guide now. But, finally one guide followed us with force and made us sit outside that closed door again. He lectured but stopped when we said that we were here before also and came to see our name. He did not even see our receipt properly and said that names will be written on tiles after one year. Finally everything repeated and they said that we need to give the money again. When I said to Pandit that I want to offer god 101 rupees due to my own faith, he refused to take and also put that money near God. He said I can not give less than 651. Also, I should give money as I have done the prayers. Finally, he agreed on 251. But, receipt was given for 651. We opposed so they changed it to 251. Then they again repeated the same things in every small temple in that big one. Somehow we escaped and promised to God that we will never come to this place again between these cheaters.

You will not be able to understand how those people trap, it is complete big plan, see everyone who goes there somehow have to have to give money. It's shameful to do things like this on the name of God. It should depend on us what we want to offer.

My parents were deceived in the same way. These cheats always lie in wait to trap the innocent religious minded devotees, tell them some fabricated stories to convince them and squeeze out money from them. Strange no action is being taken against them. I request the govt. of India to bring all those cheats to book and immdeiately stop such heinous activities.
I also visited this place few days ago and I was trapped the same way as the above person was. Here the plan as changed starting from 1250 to 5000. I just offered 101. He kept repeating that offer as much as you can to the god. I just said no boss and went away.
I had visited Mathura on 16/2/2017 and the guide charged Rs. 50 (we gave him Rs. 100). Thereafter, the same story as cited above started after we reached Gokul from Mathura (Three types of bhogs -11000, 5100, 2551). I believe our temples are run on the basis of the donations we give, else our places of worship will be ruined and become dilapidated. At the end, we gave Rs. 2551. It was fine we donated but the way the pandit solicited us (read embarrassed) into giving money was not acceptable.
So did they install the tile with your and your family members' names when you visited 7 months later or even that is a big scam??? Thanks for alerting everyone...these touts posed as Brahmins/pandits are scourge to Hindu dharma...'paapis' to the core... fleecing even at the house of the lord. Devotees should avoid visiting chaurasi khamba then...the place is supposedly such an important place for lord Krishna yet there's no development at all... Now I can see where all the donations go...it goes into the pockets of these louts!
