I have recently purchased Ritz Vxi. After driving it for 2 weeks, suddenly yesterday it so happened that even after pressing the brake to the fullest, the car didn't stopped and it bumped into the car ahead. I guess there is a problem and you are perfectly right.

Indian dealers are very bad at accepting things which doesn't come from masses. The above blog shows how Ford accepted the problem with the car and got it rectified.

I've been running Ritz for the last one months are so. Suddenly, I've also started realizing this problem. While taking a turn I've applied brake and instead of stopping it rolled on and hit the bike in front. It happened couple of other times as well. Fortunately, nobody was in front at that time.
I am going to see the dealer and complaint to maruti as well. By the way did you try it?

Even i have a problem with the break. But it is like, it won't have any effect when we apply initially and pressing further, the break hits a 'plate' like thing and the vehicle suddenly stops. It happens mainly when the vehicle is running in slow speed of 20km/hr. That way riding is very uncomfortable.
I have the exact same issue and have experienced it at least 15 times in last one year and I have been too lucky to have narrow escapes on almost all occasions (thanks to my slow speed). This happens when the speed is around 10-20 kmph and the clutch is pressed almost simultaneously or a bit before applying the brakes.
Whenever I show it to Maruti Service Center, they think I do not know driving and teach me me the way to apply brakes stating there is no problem.

I agree with this Issue I have faced similar issues at turning to Right at low speeds
i bought a ritz Lxi form rohan motors noida.. again the experience is too bad .. an i am facing major breaking issue with this car.. some time the BREAK PEDAL GOES FREEZ / JAM and break does't work and i happend many time..
i reported this issue with rohan guys they and not even ready to check the car and told me that breaking is perfectly fine..

I bought Ritz vxi, with in two months i notice issue wtih break while driving in 10 to 20 kmph with half clutch (In heavy traffic), the break pedel bcome hard and car move fwd. I took my car 3 times to MSM Chennai (Maruti Service Master) and all the time they were in a hurry to deliver the car back to me in 2 hrs. At one point of time they told its the problem with my driving or a mentel illussion but there is no issue with the car. Then I took it to Kivraj motors, initially they are also in the same path and but I refuse to take the car. Then they escalate it to Maruti Regional service manager and then after his inspection
they identified it is a problem with the clutch and offer me a clutch replacement.
