Maruti Suzuki / Swift Dzire — Non Delivery of vehicle | |||
Hello, I booked a Swift Dzire with M/s Garuda Autocraft Pvt. Ltd. at Bangalore. They fixed the delivery date on 23.07.2010 and asked me to remit total cost of the vehicle. on 23.07.2010. Total cost (my margin plus Bank loan) excluding Registration amount and Insurance Premium was remitted to the Dealer in the morning of 23rd July 2010. I told them that I shall arrange Registration and Insurance at my own end. The Dealer was charging Rs.5500/- as incidental charges for arranging Registration, which I did not want to pay. Thereafter, I was denied delivery. I was advised that I would be required to get registration of the vehicle through them only as well as buy insurance also from them. I agreed to get the vehicle registered through the dealer but I refused to buy insurance from them, for which I had already issued cheque to some other Insurance Company. I was advised that buying insurance through them is also mandatory otherwise they would not deliver the vehicle. I asked the Dealer to cancel my booking and refund the amount. Thereafter I was advised that it would take minimum 15 days time in preparing the cheque. Thereafter, I contacted G.M. and Managing Director of M/s Garuda Autocraft, but from their end also, I could not get any relief. I also contacted Maruti Suzuki Headquarter at Delhi who advised me that buying insurance from Dealership is not mandatory. Even though I could not get any relief and I was forced to buy Insurance for my car from the Dealer itself, that too at a higher premium of Rs.2500/-, as I was having no other option left with me.
