I have been a loyal Maruti customer since the last 12 years as my 1st car was an 800(KL 1 Q 766,1999) then the next was a Zen(KL 7 AQ 106,2003) & then in 2006 November I bought a Baleno(KL 7 BE 62).
Now on July 29th the Baleno met with an accident at Pattambi & requested M/S Sitaram Motors,Trissur to take my vehicle to their service station & get it repaired.Since I had bought this vehicle from them(I was ASM in HUL then & they too were my CF agents)it seemed a safer option for me to do so.I had talked to Venkidi & Sitaram's son Raman before towing the vehicle & they seemed nice & courteous.
On 8th Aug they showed me an estimate worth Rs.1,40,000 which I felt was too high for the damage incurred but signed on all papers to go ahead with the repairs as I had no time to run with the car to better service centres in Kerala or find out if the cost of repairs are legitimate.
Their soft skills were to vanish the moment the vehicle landed at their premises.They were not answering my calls nor calling me back & all I get today are calls by their techie that spares are not available since Baleno is a closed model.
I specially requested them to get it done before Sept 8th as Onam was on the anvil but of course they didn't care!
It is a real shame that you have such people as your dealers who are happy to sell new cars,make money & care 2 hoots for customer satisfaction and of course the hapless customer with a damaged car is treated like a "Bakra" who has to make the ultimate sacrifice.
This is the last straw I found thru a common friend & I hope you can help me get my car back in proper shape or do something which will repose my faith on a Maruti vehicle.
I was to call Maruti's Regional Manager of Kerala one Mr.Sachin Gupta ON 12th sept but he too didn't respond after promising to call me the same evening.
I will contemplate on a legal action & media attention only after you get back to me & if nothing works I will torch my vehicle in full public view & media glare at Trissur round maidan!!!!!.
