[Resolved]  Micromax — Micromax Mobile handset and service is of very poor quality

Dear Sir,

I bought a Micromax Q1 model from Crescent Cell City in Besant Nagar, Chennai last OCT 2010. Within a month there were problems in the mobile like Back button not working, Center down button not working and frequent hanging of the phone. I went to Deprosys Technologies in T.Nagar on Nov 14th for repairing the handset. The handset is in warranty till date. Deprosys Technologies took the handset and told me that there is some problem with the Firmware and asked me to come back in four or five days.

After Five days i called Deprosys Technologies to check whether the handset is ready. They told me that even after the Firmware update the handset is giving the same problem. They continued that there is some problem with the PCB and have sent to the company (Micromax) for replacing it. They told me to call me after another one week. Again after one week i called them and they told me that the handset is still with the company and will let me know once it is ready.

In this fashion a month went by i called them frequently to know the status of my mobile. They kept on telling the same story that the handset is still with the company. During the last week of December i went in person and asked them about the status. They assured me that in next one week the handset will be ready. I called them during second week of January to check the status. They told me that Micromax has not still delivered the handset to them. They told me that they will let me know once the handset is ready.

At this point i become really frustrated with myself for buying a brand like Micromax where other Top brands service time is only 7 to 12 days. I decided that am never going to call Deprosys. I made up my mind that i lost INR 1600 or some robber has stolen it from me.

Finally during the second week of February a person from Deprosys Technologies called me and said that the handset is ready. I went and collected the handset. Within two days the same problem started to occur (Back button and center down button not working). I don’t know what to do. I really don’t like the Idea of calling Deprosys for this since it will be a futile attempt.

If any senior person from Micromax is reading this can you please let me know what to do.

P.S. I have all the original Bill and also the Job card copy of Deprosys Technologies.
