Motorola / Milestone Xt800 — Defective Product

I have purchased Motorola Milestone XT800 on 19th June 2011 and the mobile is giving me trouble since then. I have visited the store from where I have purchased the handset M/s Cariano Telecom, Kamla Nagar, New Delhi twice and then they have directed me to Motorola Service Center. The Service Center could not establish the problem in my first visit and returned me saying that set is fine and when I visited again for the second time then could finally establish the defect in the audio mic. The problem is that its mic is defective and initially sound sometimes will go to the called party and sometime doesn't and gradually the audio mic totally stopped functioning and that is when the service center could establish the problem.

My complaint is that I have ran from pillar to post to get the problem resolved but your engineers are not competent enough to establish the defect, resolution come much later.

Its been more than a week that my handset is with service center and I am totally handicapped without a mobile phone and then the service center does not have a clue by when would they be able to repair the problem.

I have reported the problem on your call center number of times but to no avial. everytime I am given an assurance that my compliant has been escalated and will be resolved in next 48 hours but it seems their clock stopped since then. Is this the kind of shoddy service your offer to your premium customers of andriod and smart phones?

I have reported the problem to the area service manager Mr Praveen Kumar too but haven't heard from him as well.

It seems its a culture of the Motorola to sell a defective product to a customer and then turn deaf ears to the customer complaints.

May I request you for the final time through this mode of communication to have my compliant checked and replace my defective mobile with a new set so that I can enjoy the services?
