[Resolved] Municipal Corporation Of Delhi — Illegal Construction in DDA Flat legalised by MCD in Vasant Kunj. | |
I had lodged a complaint against illegal construction carried out by Mr Shrenik mehta(II nd) Floor, C-2/2318, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi to MCD Najafgarg, MCD Vigilance, MCD Commissioner Town Hall, SHo Police Vasant Kunj, Public Grievance Cell, Lt Governor. Our Flats are DDA Flats. The ill-legal construction carried out by Mr Shrenik Mehta is projecting dangerously in front of my entrance of my house, I stay on the Ground Floor, and Mr Shrenik Mehta directly on Second Floor, that is right above my Flat. This is a great threat to my life and my property. It also infringed upon my right to air and light . This ill-legal construction carried out by Mr Shrenik Mehta is a great nuisance to my life, it is giving me alot of mental strss and had taken peace out of my life.I have brought this to the notice of all the MCD Officers the SHO Police Vasant Kunj, Public Grievance Cell, Lt. I pray, please give me justice. The culprit MR Shrenik Mehta, C-2/2318, Vasant Kunj, 110070 should please be is moving aroud scot-free .He has given me mental, physical harassment . Rather, instead of taking stringent action against Mr Shrenil Mehta, All the SO CALLED GOVERNMENT OFFICERS HAVE BEEN TAKING BRIBE FROM MR SHRENIK MEHTA TO CLOSE MY COMPLAINT. PLEASE LOOK INTO MY PROBLEM URGENTLY AND IMMEDIATELY. After I lodged my complaint with the Lt Governor of Delhi about, Mr Shrenik Mehta . Mr Shrenik Mehta has connived with MCD and according to the remarks given by MCD against my complaint No: 12901235 Dated 28/09/2007, MCD had legalised ( on September 1, 2007 No: G8 No.659003 )his illegal construction for which I have been moving hell and earth, which is a dangerous threat to my Life. I pray, please remove this illegal construction by Mr Shrenik Mehta as soon as possible and give me the right to have peaceful night's sleep. Also, please give me clarification as to how an illegal construction in DDA Flat can be legalised, when Supreme Court has not given any authority to MCD to legalise any ill-legal Structure in DDA Flats, Vasant Kunj. The Owner of house no E-114 Jhilmil Colony New Delhi – 110092, is presently doing unauthorized construction at the aforesaid address. Publicly making a mocary of all local bye laws and MCD regulations. Local residents of this area have given several warnings to him to stop the unauthorized construction but he has ignored/neglected all such requests and warnings and has not stopped the illegal construction. He has inturn started the construction of covered the road thereby causing great threat to the safety of the neighbors as the road is very narrow. Some of the area of park is also dumped with malwa and labour hut labour is making park dirty by toilet and latring in the park to much smell is there in the park our children can not play due to smell but no action has been taken till date
We had requested the local administrative body including the office of Deputy Commissioner, MCD, ShadaraZone (copy enclosed), to come into action to stop the unauthorized construction but all such requests have fallen on deaf ears. It is pertinent to state that the local administrative body is allowing him to carry on the unauthorized construction by becoming mere spectators. This construction is creating lot of miseries for the residents around and is a threat to normal living and if this unauthorized construction is not stopped immediately it will encourage others to follow the same practice. Such unauthorised construction is a serious threat to the peaceful living of this residential area and it is therefore prayed before your goodself that immediate action should be taken against him to stop the on going illegall construction . I really wonder how and why all these illegal encroachments and constructions have all of a sudden cropped up in VASANT APARTMENTS (DDA Janta Flats, Basant Gaon) in such a massive scale, under the very nose of the police and MCD officials who are roaming in the vicinity from time to time! In fact, the life in this colony has now become a veritable hell, with the increasing phase of illegal activities with construction materials having been scattered and piled up all across the colony.
One such classic case is the ones that are taking place right in front of my residence, i.e., Flat No. 85 (Ground Floor) and Flat No. 89 (First Floor). Vast public space has been encroached with massive build-up with heavy and pucca concrete columns / structures erected thereon. This brazen illegal activity is being carried out by one Mr. Vinay Singh who is a Property Dealer-turned-Builder. He is openly flaunting his connection in Delhi Police, as his wife is a sub-Inspector with Delhi Police.
As an aggrieved, law-abiding and public spirited resident of the colony, I would request all concerned public authorities to kindly pay a visit to this colony personally to ascertain facts and take stringent punitive action against all culprits involved, which will set as an example to the potential culprits, as well.

Large-scale fresh illegal encroachments and constructions are springing up in this colony with each passing day with active collusion and complicity of the Delhi Police and MCD Engineers. The role of the concerned delinquent S.H.O, Jr. Engineer and Asstt. Exec. Engineer of the area should be probed and stringent punitive action be taken while demolishing all such constructions quickly.
It is high time the Chief Vigilance Officer took due cognizance of this complaint at personal level.
