[Resolved]  Nagpur Municipal Corporation — MAJOR LEAKAGE IN WATER MAIN LINE

Address:Nagpur, Maharashtra

To, Dt: 30.01.11
The Chairman
Water supply committee,
Nagpur Municipal Corporation
Nagpur

Kind Attn: Mr. Prakash Totwani

Sub: Request to arrest the major water leakage in the main water supply line behind Indora Police Quarters.

We the residents of Kashmirigali , and all buildings opposite police chawki, Indora, Nagpur -440017, wish to bring to your information that there is an acute water supply problem in our area since the water pressure is very low. The main cause being major water leakage in the water main pipe line behind Indora police Quarters. The pipe is totally damaged in small portion and complete water is flowing in to an adjoining gutter, due to which there is no pressure in further pipe line and the residents are starved of basic need of water.

The matter has been brought repeatedly to the notice of concerned officers, Mr. Dhakate & Mr. Junghare of Asinagar / Satranjipura zones. So far no action has been taken and the residents are left to starve.

You are therefore requested to kindly look in to the matter urgently and arrange to arrest the huge water leakage at Indora police quarters, which is the starting point of the main water supply line. This will not only improve the pressure of main line but will save a huge quantity of potable water presently draining in to a gutter and posing potential health hazards to all the residents.

We hope you will do the needful at the earliest and provide relief to all the residents
Expecting your best co-operation

Thanking you
Your sincerely

Residents of Kashmirigali & Indora

WE AGREE TO THE ABOVE COMPLAINT. THE OFFICERS ARE GIVING A VERY COLD TREATMENT TO SUCH A MAJOR ISSUE. LACKS OF GALLONS OF WATER IS FLOWING IN TO THE GUTTER AND RESIDENTS OF KASHMIRI GALI AND OFF INDORA CHAWKI AREA ARE LEFT TO STRUGGLE IN ABSENCE OF WATER POSING TREMENDOUS HARDSHIP TO MEET THE REQUIREMENT. PRAKASH TOTWANI IS ALSO NOT GIVING A HEED TO THE COMPLAINT IT SEEMS.HOPE THE COMMISSIONER MAY LOOK IN TO THE MATTER.

A STRUGGLING RESIDENT OF THE AREA...
WELL MR RATAN WE TOTALY AGREE WITH YOU.NO ATTENTION IS BEING PAID BY THE NMC OFFICIALS TO THE LEAKAGE OF THE INDORA CHAWKI POLICE QUARTER. IT CRIMINAL WASTE TO LET GO THE WATER IN TO THE GUTTER IN SUCH A HUGE QUANTITY, THAT TOO IN THIS WEE HOURS OF WATER CRISIS IN THE CITY.THERE APPEARS NO HONESTY OF PURPOSE IN THE COMMENTS MADE BY THE NMC OFFICIALS REGARDING WATER SHORTAGES WHEN THEY ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO SUCH HUGE LEAKAGES.HOPE THEY TAKE A NOTE OF THIS AND CLEAN THEIR ACT BY STOPPING THE OBVIOUS WASTAGES.HOPE MR PRAKASH TOTWANI WILL TAKE THE COGNIZANCE OF THE SITUATIONS IF THE CONCERNED OFFICIALS ARE NOT ACTING RESPONSIBLY.
IT SEEMS THERE IS NO SH0RTAGE OF WATER BUT NMC IS NOT BOTHERED ABOUT LEAKAGES IN THE LINES. LIVE EXAMPLE IS THE LEAKAGE AT INDORA CHAWK POLICE QUARTERS. THE PIPE LINE IS TOTALLY DAMAGED AND WATER IS FLOWING IN TO GUTTER. CONCERNED OFFICER MR. DHAKATE, MR JUNGHARE OF NMC SATRANJIPURA ARE AWARE OF IT BUT ARE NOT TAKING ANY ACTION AND THE RESIDENTS OF KASHMIRIGALI AND BUILDINGS OPPOSITE INDORA POLICE CHAWKI [I.E.JARIPATKA P.S.] ARE FACING ACUTE WATER SHORTAGE PROBLEM. NMC IS REQUESTED TO ARREST THE LEAKAGE ON TOP PRIORITY. IT IS CRIMINAL WASTE TO LET SUCH A HUGE QUANTITY OF WATER DRAIN IN TO GUTTER CONTINUOUSLY. ATTENTION OF THE TOP OFFICER TO THIS CAUSE IS SOLICITED.MAY MR. PRAKASH TOTWANI TAKE A HEED OF THIS AND DO SOMETHING URGENTLY. WATER SAVED IS WATER EARNED.WHO WILL UNDERSTAND THIS PHRASE WELL MR. TOTWANI??????..YOU ARE THE ONLY HOPE ...PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL.
