[Resolved]  National Highway Authority of India — NH 48 needs immediate relay in Sakleshpur

While driving from Mangalore to Bangalore via Sakleshpur, a 30km stretch of the road is in unusable state. It took me 2 hours to cross the 30km stretch. I really don't understand how the road landed up in such a state without any repairs whatsoever. As it stands it is an open pot inviting accidents. Actually there is no road to talk about and it is just a collection of pot holes up to 1 ft deep! I had to literally find the smallest pothole to get my car through. It desperately needs a relay as soon as possible to avoid more back breaks and car breaks.

National Highway Authority of India — New constructed road is breaking

Jamshedpur to Hata road construction is just finished but you will suprise to know that it is started

breaking at several places. Specially near culvert. It is very unsafe to drive vehicle in such

constructed road.

You are requested to take immediate action.

Thanks.
The road condition is pathetic. I heard this road was re-laid in 2008, but it seems as if it was not touched for past 3-4 years. Nobody is doing anything to repair it, we did not see any repair work going on. This is an accident prone region as it is a hilly terrain. The authorities should look into it, else some big accident will be the only eye-opener for us.
I totally agree with Mr. Sundrani, actually there is no road and we just managed to came out of that mess.
NHAI must act now, as this is one of the most important link between the two major cities of south India and the tourism industry will suffer in this beautiful part of the country becaus of this sad state of NH 48.

My car is in a very bad shape and because of that trip and I need some concrete action to be taken for the betterment of that stretch.
