[Resolved]  Nokia India Private Limited — PROBLEM WITH NOKIA N-95

I have purchased Nokia N-95 on 25/05/08; however since than I am facing trouble in using it as the phone set gets hang-up or restarts again and again. The set was purchased from Mobile Store, Located at Karol Bagh. No. of times I visited to the store initially to know the position of mobile set. A few advices were given to me - like lets close all operative application, battery should be fully charges etc. I was also narrated that problem remains to some extent on multimedia phones. Ultimately on getting imbalanced with the situation I handedover the phone to Mobile Store, who took the same of care centre located at Gurdwara Road, Karol Bagh on 23/06. The same could not be repaired by them. The phone was then submitted to East Patel Nagar Care Centre vide Job Sheet No. [protected]. I got my phone back on 28/06. Still the phone is not working and it is getting resarted again and again. The mobile set has again been handedover to East Patel Nagar Centre under job-sheet No. [protected] dated 30/06/2008. I was promised to rectify the instrument in next half an hour; however when in the evening I visited to the store again for collection of phone; it has been retained by them for one more day. On 01/07/08 I tried to be in touch with East Patel Nagar; Manager - however he has not picked-up the phone for the day. Other nos. have also remained busy for the day. Irritated with the situation; I called up at Gurgaon Office and got in touch with customer care manager Mr. Pramood (Ph [protected]); he has again asked me to wait for 24 hours.


By qualification I am CA and at present working with ICICI Bank in Senior Regional Manager capacity having a team size of more than 50 persons. Initially I was using N-95; however for last 10 days I have stopped using the same and using the old handset. During the use of N-95; due to restart/hang-up problem I have suffered a lot in a way that there were no. of missed call, communication gaps, improper responce to the teem considering my designation. The matter has been escalated to my seniors and they have raised issue on my performance. The performance has hampered due to communication gap only.

I have not spended sum of Rs. 22000/- just to keep a dummy set with me.

I am irritate with the set and want to get releif from it. I paid high amount to increase my performance in my carrier; however the same has adversely effected my performance.

I request; if you can suggest me corrective actions to be taken by me. I am not getting proper respnse from the company/care centre. I want my money to be returned back with the compensation for the inconvience caused to me.

I had purchased a Nokia E63 on 16th May 09 with IMEI number- [protected] (black). I really liked the phone but on 25th May 09 it started creating problem like hanging problem and automatic restart.

The same was taken to Nokia care Malviya Nager on 29th (Saturday) May 09 and a new case was logged with Job sheet no:[protected]/090529/21 which was returned to me within 2 hr time after new software installation (version: 110.21.006).

Post the installation done by the nokia care the phone was working fine. But again I was facing the same problem like hanging and automatic restart problem on 30th May 09 (Sunday). Again I had logged the case on 2nd june 09 (Tuesday) with Job sheet no :[protected]/090602/10. Again they install the software (version: 110.21.006). and they told me to please check the phone without using the memory card.

I followed the instruction given by the Nokia care using the phone without memory card. But on the very next day 3rd June 09 (Wednesday) in the morning I was again facing the same problem continuously within the 30 to 40 mins time interval. Then again in the evening (3rd June 09- Wednesday) I logged the case with Job sheet no:[protected]/090603/42, They told me that it will take 10-12 days time for repairing and they provide me the target delivery date on 17th june 09, and also provide me one stand by phone for the time being.

On 13th june 09 (Saturday) they called up and told please collect the mobile phone. After reached there I had word with Mr. Amit Kumar he told me that he used the phone for an hour for testing purpose and again he faced the same hanging and automatic restart problem. I told him I dont want this phone. Please replace my phone with the new phone. (Swap the unit). He logged the case for swap the unit.

Today I got a call from Mr. Amit that please take your repaired mobile. He told me that our engineer confirmed that there is no problem in this phone. Which Mr. Amit himself tested and find the same problem on 13th june09.

If you see I was purchased on 16th may 09, and from 29th may 09 till date my phone in nokia care. After spend Rs.12460/- every customer expect something good and trustable product..
Now, I and my family have been Nokia users for many years and become Indias No.1 trustable brand Nokia. Such kind of an incident has really put me off the brand. When Mr. Amit and Mr. Sanjay from nokia care Malviya nager and Mr Rajeev Shivdarshan (+91-[protected]) (from Nokia India pvt ltd, 5F Tower A&B Cybergreen, DLF vyber city Sector 25 A Gurgaon- 122002 Haryana.) had admitted that there is a permanent problem in this phone, I definitely seek the replacement of the phone (Swap the unit) ASAP. The past 2-3 weeks have cost me of my time, energy and mental harassment.

Till date not getting any response from Nokia.. after so many emails, phone calls and sms till i am not get my hand set. its been 1 month.. i am totally frustrated.No one had answers and they started to avoid my calls, and till date they have not given me any contact person who could give an answer and compensate me of my loss of business .

Please tell me that if you could help me with this problem and can i lodge a complaint against NOKIA as nokia terms to be an Internation Brand, become Indias No.1 trustable brand Nokia and i would like others to know how NOKIA have treated a customer who have been using nokia all his life, starting from Nokia 3310.
