Nokia E51 — Replacement of Battery

Sir,
We are shoked to bring to youre knowledge that we have purchsed"E 51 NOKIA" mobil.the above noted set wich is tecnical problems in battry.when we purchased by "HOTSPOTS" Retails shope.then retailer'tell me' "No any problems creat 'BATTRY'.but only '11'months ago battry low, week & heat problem.Since we have purhased the mobile at a very dear price, we expect full value for our mony and ask.
At the earlist, also ensure that such problems do not creep up in future and that faith in "NOKIA" remains undaunted. In anticipattan of youre prompt response.

Nokia - E51 Mobile Phone — Nokia dealers not providing spare battery

I was gifted a Nokia E51 phone (original with bill) in December '07. Recently the battery was starting to drain very fast. I approached the Nokia service center to have my phone checked. They took my battery out and put it flat on the table and rotated it. It was spinning freely and they said that the battery should not spin so freely and that there is a bulge and that is the reason why it is not retaining charge. They did not make a job sheet for this and asked me to go to a Nokia priority dealer to get the spares.

To my surprise none of the Nokia priority stores had the battery spare and they said that Nokia does not supply enough spares of this battery. I asked if they can place an order and get me the battery. They said they cannot do it.

Nokia care was also not helpful, they continue to claim that the battery is available and they give me nokia dealer numbers, most of which are not in use or are not nokia dealers any more.

In this situation I feel I can go the consumer court for causing so much trouble to a consumer by not having spares.

Please advise.

Dear sir,

I have Nokia E51 with BP-6MT battery no.:39321374861203922940670551 , having problem in battery. Battery backup is less from few days. Battery discharges very fast without using i.e.,to say the battery backup is not proper . I saw the condition of battery. battery thickness has increased 25% more as compared to normal size. I think it will get explode within few days, if I will charge.I request you to please look into the matter and get my battery replaced . Hopping for a positive response at the earliest .

I hope NOKIA E51 is a costly set, this type of complain must not arise in such mobile sets.If customer has complained it must be attended immeidetly, without delay replacement of battery must be given. This action will maintain the confidence of customer for Nokia sets .

Nokia E51 battery must be replaced, complainer facing backup problem .

I too had the same experiance.

I bought my E51 sometimes on 24th August 2008, soon i was facing the problem of battery not hold on for log. I went ot the Nokia Care Centre sometime in January 2009. The service man told me to carge the battery for the full night in the switched off mode and the problem will be solved. I did the same but the problem did not solve.

I went to the Nokia Care Cnetre in March 2009 again and this time i was told that the battery has some voltage problem and the same is now unusable and need to be replaced. Since the warranty of the battery is only for 6 months i was not able to make them replace the battery as because the first time when i went there no job card was made.

I went to all the Nokia priority shop in Mumbai and I was surprised to find that none of the Shop was having a stock of the specific batter used for E51.

Now after having read so many complaints for the battery problem on so many different different bolgs on the internet i have come to a conclusion that this is a manufacturing problem and the Nokia Care peole knew of this problem and to save themself from the hasself of getting the new battery (which is not available) they are simply trying to pass the 6 months time for the battery so that we are not able to claim warranty.

I think if you wish we can jointly apply to the consumer court for the agony that is being caused to both o[censored]s.

I've the same problem with mine. Its one year ten months old. Same thing with my associate's n81.

I had used my phone for more than a year and found same problem of bulging of battery,

I bought my Nokia N82 in May 2008. Now the battery BP-6MT (No. 39321374741103151610670551) has started discharging very fast, and doesn't last even one day. Moreover, there is a noticeable bulge, and I am worried, like Dr Kharecha, that it might explode.

I have been going from one Nokia Priority dealer to another, but none of them has stocks of the battery, and they are not willing to give me a date by which it will be available.

The Nokia N82 is a premium model, and I've been using it for just a year and a half. Now, my battery is bulging, discharging fast, and there is no replacement available. Where do I go from here?

I bought my Noki N 82 from Vivek & Co., Mylapore, Chennai in April, 2008. For the last one month, I find the battery (BP 6 MT) discharging very fast. Presently, it wears out if I take four or five calls, lasting about 10 minutes !! I am having to keep it on charge all the time, even while talking. It is also bulging. Worst part is all the NOKIA PRIORITY dealers have washed their hands off the matter and they do not know when or if at all it will be available !! THEY ALSO CLAIM THAT THEY HAVE NOT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS STATE OF AFFAIRS Having bought an expensive NOKIA PHONE for Rs. 26, 000/-, this is my fate. Since I travel quite a bit, I feel utterly helpless as this batters wears out in no time. Can someone please help ? I would also request any advocate for advice how to sue the NOKIA Company for mental agony, business loss etc. Is there any danger in continuing to use this phoe- will it explode ?
