1Gb pen drive — not working properly

I have bought a moser baer's 1 Gb PEN DRIVE JUST A FEW DAYS BEFORE BUT WHEN I INSERT IT IN THE COMPUTER IT AUTOMATICALLY OPENS and a folder is opened
when I saw the prooperties of the USB mass storage device it shows that it has some thing in it.
please solve my problem as early as possible.
plz don't let my money to go in vain .
Now only Uare the one who can help me. plzzzzzzzzz... GIVE RESPONSE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
i have bought this pendrive from shahibabad, ghaziabad, U.P., India PIN:- 201004.

Now this pen drive is shows only space of 170MB also not opens.

in my pendrive 8 GB Kingston pendrive after formating so many times the data, pics which i stored is not open and the folders are seen but inside folders the datas are not shown. my PD showes the memory of 7.87GB after formating .
