I am mohit jha, joined OMEGA and get trained for the newzealand maritime school, finishing the progm i have recently joined to AET, one of the bigest shipping compny in world along with me the other person Ronak kumar has also joined. Our both numbers and details are available at omega head office. I don't understand why the people unnessary speard such rumors?

please dont waste time and money by joining in omega, it is just a fake consultancy, it is not recognised by dg shipping govt of inda, i lost momey and time thats y i am saying. i complete training before 8 months till now no conformation about job. so please save ur money and time, , , , not only me my friends (7) also facing this trouble. basically i am not the part of OMEGA as well as the marine agents.
my self Tushar who as decided to make my carrier in marine management industry and successfully working in the same industry for since last three years. i worked in one of Top listed management company, in various departments like Fleet, manning, sourcing, admin as well as academic Recruitment team.so i got the practical picture in front of me.
why i am explaining my self, because i got a very well knowledge about the marine industry as well as the management system.
so i would like to guide the candidates those who are interested to make there carrier in Merchant navy.
first of all keep the things in mind before entering in the field of Merchant Navy.
1) Institute should be Approved by D.G.Shipping government of India
2) CDC should have INDIAN CDC..issued by D.G.Shipping government of India
3) Before going to join any institute you should have SPONSORSHIP Letter given by Any reputed company.
4) Join the institute through Any management company like OMEGA.
as per my above mentioned points and deeply getting knowledge about OMEGA as well as marine industry.

guys keep it in your mind not a single top listed institute cant you the 100% job placement. if you can go to the agents for the placement after completion of training you will be place by paying Huge amount which you cant recover by sailing the ships or completing many contracts on board the ship.

as per my knowledge i have seen the numbers of CDC's are pending for joining in management companies as the ships are delays. another reason is that the performance of the candidates in institutes. if you do well in your academic training.

Hi this is vikas, again joinee of omega... Finished up wid my training at chennai in december, joined as eto, i'm still waiting for my cdc, and i do have my friends who got the cdc since 3month but no response regarding onboard training or sailing... Omega guys please justify yourself, this is my humble request, as in this is matter our career..

Colleges like 'Omega' can only make money from you. Merchant navy has no place for Engineers other than Mechanical, Marine Engineers, to some extent electrical engineers. Most lucrative is naval architecture.
Engineers from other depts may get jobs in merchant marine shore based offices only.
Mind you it is very tough job and at same highly paying, but fact is you get paid nothing else...no life.
Guys pls do good research, you have the power of internet.
