[Resolved] Onida — Poor service after sales | |
Im from chennai, I bought a new ONIDA - 29" Oxygen color television in the year 2005 - Jan with a 3 year warranty. Last year I encountered the first problem where the TV went off suddenly for no reason. Our house is equipped with 3 phase facility and there was no voltage problem. I called the service centre several times.The technician who came for the service was really a dump and admitted he doesnt know anything after doing lot of R&D with the TV which was really frustrating/Irritating to me. Then I called the serivce centre to send somone who knows something, but instead they took the TV for service with an assurance of returning it within a week, but I got it back only after several calls and it took nearly a month for them to return. Problem - 2 Complain No: 80507 ************* A few weeks back when i was watching a program there was flickering sound that came inside the TV and all of sudden the screen became small and gradually became wide unevenly on all the four sides. Again after several calls to the service centre they sent a service man who told he is a senior technician and began his R&D. Initially I thought he can solve the problem since he changed few components and made the screen to appear somewhat ok on all the sides. He told that he will bring a remote control through which he can adjust the alignments but gradually my confidence level went down as he did not turn up for another 2-3 weeks without any information. Again I called the service centre and complained about the recent happenings, though the same technician came but there was no progress and the screen still remains in the same condition with uneven alignment. Though my TV is still under warranty, I had enough with ONIDA customer service people. They are all good actors and customers are made to believe them 100%. I have decided not to advice any of my friends/relatives to go for ONIDA products particularly TV. Also I hope the complaints board wil take up the issue with the concerned. Dear Sir,
I have purchase ONIDA AC WG-18 one month back, sudenly AC sithced off and didnot function, I called the servicing centre and their Mechanic came after twodays and said PCB has some fault. I asked to replace the PCB set, there is no proper response from servicing centre.I feel the young guys who are sent for repairing are not having sound idea about the problem and not able to clarify customer .
Pl. experdiate your support in handling the issue urgently.

Am really fed up of calling Service centre again & again. My humble request to Onida Authority to step in and take the quick, sharp & necessary action to rectify. This is not an order, Whomsoever reads it, " YOU EXPERIENCE OUR PAIN, 4 NIGHTS STRUGGLING WITH MOSQUITOS & HEAT . HOW COULD ELDERS SUSTAIN "
I hope ONIDA will try it's best to maintain the customer faith & esteem. Otherwise I need to drop Onida from my mind & tell to all ma friends not to make any attempt in ONIDA products.
