[Resolved]  Passport — Non receipt of Passport

I have applied for passport on Bhubanswer (Orissa) on 28.03.2008 File No.A00996308. The status is showing in in the net is that "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week9s time ". This is the status before 06 months ago . How long it will take to deliver the passport?
pls confir as soon as poosible.

As i checked the status online it is showing that, my passport is expected to be despatched by

But as far as consirned, I could not receive my passport.

Please look into this issue as passport is very important.

I have submitted my documents for passport in Regional office (chembur police station) on 20th april 2009.

My ref. or file number is:BOMI13224209VA0806.

Kindly confirm the exact datewhen my passport will be in hand, as my joureney abroad is preponed and have not applied for Tatkal passport.

also tell me, by any means I could reapply for tatkal passport now.

I contacted the lady PRO on 19.05.09 and cleared herquerries there & then. She promised to send the passport within week. Now after one week when i checked the status it is mentioned: PASSPORT WAS PROMISED FOR DELIVER AT THE COUNTER ON 20.05.09. IF NOT COLLECTED IT WILL BE DESPATCHED ON THE NEXT WORKING DAY' This status was mentioned on 21.05.09. Now still the status is same and i have not recd. the passport. Pl. confirm whether the passport has been despatched & if yest despatch no.& date be advised to me. I HAVE ALSO SENT EMAIL TO MR.MAHALINGAM, RPO.

I submitted my passport on 5-2-09 at Jaipur . The status of my passport on the jaipur passport office site says my passport was ready on[protected]. Till date i have not received my passport. Despite repated mails and registered lettere there is no response from the passport office. For customer convenience they have given telephone numbers which they never pick up. If a passport was ready in feb why the delay. All formalities, police verification was completed in March but still no sign of my passport. WHO SHOULD BE CONTACTED FOR INFORMATION AND STATUS OF MY PASSPORT. This is sheer harrasment to people like us who have to stand 5 hrs in the heat to apply for passport and then for months no information about passport. I THINK SOME ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN.

Whts the status? Were u able to recieve passport after this complaint?

My name is Sandep Aneja. I had applied for Passport on 6 Aug 2008.
Till today i have not received any passport, or whereabouts of that. Neither

i have recd any required formality.

I am at my wits end. Kindly let me know what to do and whom to approach.

I had business trip planned but it couldn't fructify due non availability of

passport.

I am disgusted with our government office.

This is reference the status of Passport applied through Tatkaal during 3rd week of June . The passport details are given below. As per online status, we have visited the Passport office on 24.07.2009, 27.07.2009 and again o5.08.2009. we have given the file details also and we were told that the passport will be despatched within week. You are requested to please issue my passport at the earliest.

Dear Sir,

I Sunil Kumar Chauhan had applied for renewal of old passport vide GPO Ambala, Speed Post Receipt No-EH[protected]IN, File No- CHDW01413508 dispatched on 24 Jun 08. The police verification documents were dispatched by the SP office Ambala City vide their report no 6300 on 26 Sep 08. But even after lapse of 10 months neither the passport has been received nor there has been any observation received from your office.

I through email and personally also tried to contact the concerned officials but no progress was made. The official always reply through mail that your query has been forwarded to the cocerned officer for necessary action. But all in vein.

I am completely dissappointed by the attitude of the officials. You are kindly requested to pl help mein getting my passport at the earliest.
